Solid nail salon when they are not busy. I've never been here during lunch crowd or after work crowd, but service I got was very attentive and good. All the girls are friendly, including Tina. I also speak Vietnamese so that comes as a benefit on the communication part. PEDICURE They have good colors from Opi and Essie lines, which are my favored brands for pedis. I like a good spa soak with bath salts in the spa chair and they let me soak for a good 10-15 minutes. Then they started cleaning, then massages and then heel scrub. No razor for me. The job was very well done and I'll be back next time I'm in the Duluth area. $20 pedicure

I was in desperate need of a relaxing pedicure on my self care day and decided to visit Elan Beauty…read moreBar since I was in the area and the reviews looked so great - so glad that I did! Elan is located inside of a quiet shopping plaza in Duluth. Although there's parking for everyone, you may have to walk down a sidewalk or two to get to your preferred biz, but you'll make it. My first impression was 5-stars because it's truly a beautiful salon! Bright with natural lighting and fabulously decorated, it definitely passed the visual vibe checks. I was welcomed in by two young ladies at the front counter who quickly set me up at a pedicure station. There are three parts to the salon and I was in the middle section and it was so quiet, even with other customers in the area. I hate that I didn't get my nail tech's name, but she was so great. I went with the 3rd tier pedicure which including a hot towel, scrub, etc. etc. No corners were cut, I was so relaxed! I opted for a pretty bubblegumish pink for my toes and she really made my feet look fabulous and renewed. After my pedicure package, gel removal and tip, I walked out paying under $100 and in this economy and with the level of service and class, I took that as a deal. Such a fantastic experience, I'm so glad that I chose Elan and will think of them when I'm back in the area!

She is thorough, meticulous with her work and just an overall beautiful and kind woman. The salon is very clean, bright and relaxing and the services are comparable to other salons in the area and the prices are affordable ($50 for the basic gel pedicure with add in options ie rose petals and coconut milk in the water etc if desired for an upgrade). My pedicure always lasts 4-6 weeks and in really busy times it will even last 8 weeks. I highly recommend this place!

Here's my most recent review: I was able to park just fine as this location is in a shopping plaza and has plenty of free parking. Once inside, I was able to tell them exactly what I wanted and my nail tech nailed the designed ! She's so perfect! I never have to tell her twice, worry about pain during my experience, and she's super sweet! I got a super cute design and she's been nailing each one with ease. Both Elly and Kim are fantastic techs. So happy to find them. Looking forward to my next visit !

There was…read morenot a visible price menu so I asked up front how much for Ombre using sms ("dip") and a pedicure.? She quoted me $32 for pedicure and 48+ $15 for Ombre ~$64 for nails + $32 for pedi. I was okay with that price. At end of service, I was charged $10 to shape nail into (what I always get at regular salon as customer service courtesy) "almond" shape, $5 for applying tips (i was okay with this). However I was charged for an Ombre ($15) when in fact what i received was nail polish with glitter on tips not Ombre. It was cute but not Ombre! The h2o for pedicure was cold. I had to ask her to make it hot several times. My experience could have been an aberration but I left feeling like there was no more customer service in the experience. The ladies next to me paid $88 for a pedicure! They were up-charging every person and it was awfully uncomfortable to listen to people asking what if I only got gel? How much is that? Very uncomfortable. What if this or that??? Finally upon checking out, they give you option of 18% tip and up. There was no clear option to by-pass this. When I looked at receipt the charge was $220 (twice my bill)! I immediately said this was wrong. They said it was corrected. (I will need to monitor debit card over next few days to make sure the refund registered.) Will I ever return? Probably not and it is not because they did a poor job but rather it was the feeling that they were trying to up charge everyone for everything! And this was awfully uncomfortable for me.

Greeting, Upon…read morearrival, I was welcomed into a quaint salon that was very cleanly and simplistic with perfect pops of color here and there. The nail technicians seemed focused and resilient, adding an interesting contrast to the Bubbly Lounge-Esque music/vibe of the music and decorations. One of the techs hollered at me to "Habbasee!!" While my brain did not know this tongue, my body felt beckoned by this call from could only be the Wild. I traveled as if dancing to a forgotten rhythm or smelling a freshly baked cartoon pie to the back hallway of the Parlor, where I meandered past an impressive infant I saw filing nails to the cuticle with bone-chilling precision (keep up the good work, Lily...) Once I arrived to the back of the Parlor, I was faced with a fork (in the hallway, not a utensil) and a fork in the hallway (utensil). One room was the bathroom (which was very clean and smelled of palm) and the other was another story... A woman, fifty-three (53 if you round to the nearest multiple of 53 and 1 [one], therefore fifty-three [53] being the only answer to the woman's age as she was NOT one [1] year old) was spread eagle with an old woman and a lone wax strip. As the woman YELPED ;) (ba-dum-shh [facetious bongo]) I was taken aback and flinched, until I realized the services being performed on her were far from simple manicures. TOGETHER is an understatement for my participation in this lady's Brazilian. Might as well call it a South American! The only legal/safety concern that transcended my immersive experience here was the health risk of the frail old woman who was doing the single-strip-waxing, I thought to myself: "There must be some form of tomb-raiding experience/certification needed to confront the absolute amazon of vines and foliage that the lady being waxed was auto-chemo-respirating downstairs..." After completion, I was allowed to skip the wait thanks to my back-room assistance and was given a chair. I came with the intention asked for a duck nail, as my younger sister ,Lisa Curwaden, had just gotten festive green, red, yellow, and white duck nails (her pinky nail on her right hand was too small to paint due to an incident with her Shih Tzu, so she doesn't paint the regular sized nail on her left pinky either in order to keep her internal Chi balanced) and I found them quite humble and perfect for the upcoming Yom Kippur season. But right as the words "duck nail" left my licker, the lights completely turned off in the salon save for a few red LED strips taped to the back of Lily's bald head (she hadn't begun to grow hair yet due to her age) resembling luxurious native scarlet locks. The technicians each pulled out weapons that seemed to be central to their chosen workplace personas and began screaming "GEDDDAAAOOO" at me until my hearing aids that already needed battery replacements forced me to take a step outside for some fresh ATL air. I smoked three packs of Smarties and attempted to reenter the salon, only to find the lights still off and the door locked. Overall, a very swell and educational experience that I will cherish for the next few days. Thank you, South America.

I decided to come in here because it's pretty close to home and they had great reviews…read more You should make an appointment because I walked in on a Sunday afternoon at 1pm and the man upfront asked if I could come back at 3pm they're busy. It was empty besides two other people getting their nails done but I said sure. Two women walked in at 5pm and they told both of them they couldn't do them because they're closed. They closed in an hour and one lady just needed one nail fix. I thought that was a bit disappointing to say you're closed when you weren't. Lily did a great job on my feet and took her time. They're still holding up. However, the girl that did my manicure did a mediocre job at French gel tips. I told her I wanted short, square nails but longer than my nails. She didn't put any fake nail on me at all she just painted on my own nails. I don't know if she didn't paint over the entire nail or seal it properly but there were what appeared to be bubbles under the polish. It's been a week and the gel had chipped and broke off my nail. If I'm gonna lay $100 for my nails this polish needs to stay on a maximum of 2 weeks and they chipped three days later. It's clean inside and really nice. There's so many spaces to sit and get your nails done and so many spots for pedicure. They offer different tiers for the pedicure.

--- Draft…read moreReview/Complaint: On 8/22/25, I received a basic manicure with clear polish from Kay at Castle Nails. After leaving, I noticed that old product had been left on my nails. I immediately returned to the salon and explained the issue to the front desk assistant. He spoke with Kay (who was with another client) in their language instead of addressing me directly. Eventually, another employee told me that Kay said my nail beds were "too thin" to remove the product and that she would file it off "next time." Kay never explained this to me while performing the service, which would have been the professional thing to do. Instead, I paid $50 for a basic mani/pedi and was left with nails that were not properly done. I also want to note that while the pedicure I received from another employee was excellent, this is not the first time I've experienced rudeness or unprofessional behavior from Kay. I've noticed she treats other clients warmly, but not me. For that reason, I will not be returning to Castle Nails, nor will the people I referred. Clients deserve respect, professionalism, and transparency. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Kay
