For the price, this place met my expectations. I wasn't blown away. But, I did have some tasty sushi rolls. We went mid-afternoon on a Thursday, so it was off hours. They weren't busy, but the entire buffet was well stocked with a variety of Chinese and Japanese food. I tried the crab rangoon, salmon, cheese mussels, fried scallops, and a variety of sushi. I tend to prefer cooked sushi (ie. crab) and just loved the options. There were California rolls, Philadelphia rolls, and specialty rolls. Nothing was labeled, so you had to eyeball it. I had a couple of really delish specialty rolls. I didn't like the fried scallops (overcooked) and the salmon (also overcooked), but did really enjoy the cheese muscles and crab rangoon. There was a hibachi station too, but they were closed for most of our visit. I tried a some of the desserts and liked the coconut macaroons. The mousse was a little waxy, but we did enjoy everything else. They cleared plates quickly and at $15 per person for lunch, it was a great deal. In spite of not loving everything I tried, I would go again.

Finally found my way back here as part of my search to find solid American-Chinese food in the Winston area. There are a couple of very good restaurants with some traditional dishes that soar above the typical buffet or take out places - New Sichuan and Sampan. The food here is that of the average Chinese buffet - few items that are truly bad, and even fewer that are really good. This buffet remains about variety and quantity , and quality is the victim. Unless you are solely looking for quantity, you are better served at one of the better take out places like Mr Lus, or a trip to Bermuda Run for a sit down at Jade Garden.

Your basic chinese buffet. Styrofoam bowls for what is actually decent hot & sour soup. Not a bad selection for veggies, noodles and rice.

If you are by the mall and you need a quick meal that makes everyone happy, stop here! I am a Sushi lover so this place is perfect for me. I get to try several different roles without committing to one role (like most places). The staff is kind and attentive so you can get in and out quickly!

The cleanest Asian buffet I've ever visited (and I like those spots). Tin Tin is a great spot for lunch and dinner and is seriously nice... The COVID precautions are definitely in place. While I appreciate the effort, I doubt the plastic gloves you have to wear at the buffet do much. But, I'm not a scientist and it's easy enough to wear some gloves. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves at the buffet and I watched them enforce it. The variety here is solid! It's a big buffet. You'll find something you like. They have a great selection of your traditional Asian buffet items, sushi (good sushi), deserts, some American food, hibachi, you name it. I can't say any of it is "the best I've had," but it's consistently and good and the big variety is a win. I've honestly never left here less than stuffed. You could actually eat really healthy here if you chose. They have great salads and fruits and healthier meat options. Personally, I go in for all the chickens...general tso, honey, wings, teriyaki, on a stick, pepper, and on and on. It's a value win! At $15 for dinner buffet (including sushi!), you'll be hard pressed to find a better value. Just go hungry because you'll want to try it all!

How much is the dinner buffet?

Last time I was there, it was $10.99 for an adult Monday through Thursday and $11.99 Friday through Sunday. Both prices are without crab legs, which really increases the price.

All the items chosen were good, with the Fried Shrimp and the Mongolian Beef proving to be very, very good! Mongolian Beef is a favorite Chinese American dish. Despite the name, it was developed in Taiwan before coming to the USA, an been very popular, especially as a take out item. The version served here is among the best, nearly as good as the best in the area, that served at Jade Garden in Advance. The dish here adheres to the straight forward simplicity of processing quality beef, onions, and peppers well seasoned with a soy based sauce. The fried shrimp are small, fresh tasting, and well breaded and well seasoned. This isn't an item often thought of when considering Chinese American appetizer, but I would suggest you consider it , especially when a bit of hot mustard or Chinese hot sauce is added. I have tried at least a dozen items here, and there have only been a couple I would not reorder. The sipped with which your order is prepared is a definite plus, usually you are out in under 15 minutes.

I usually get the combo plates that include an entree, egg roll and rice. Today, I have been battling a cold and cough and some wonton soup sounded perfect to sooth my throat. The rest of my family ordered some different dishes for themselves. We ordered online and I sent my son to pick everything up which only took 20 min. The wonton soup had so many wontons in it I split it into three servings. They also give you the fried wonton strips to sprinkle on top if you like that. The portions on all the other food were also big. Mr. Lus doesn't skimp there. We all had plenty for lunch the next day. The service is always fast, reliable and friendly. There is no dining room. It's all take out at Mr Lus so be prepared for that. Otherwise it's your basic order at the counter place.

We had the hunan roast pork and vegetable lo mein, and both servings were generous in quantity. The flavor and quality of ingredients was very good. The egg rolls were crispy and large, and based on my experience working in a Chinese restaurant years ago, I suspect their egg rolls are made in house. Go satisfy those Monday cravings (or any other day of the week) and enjoy some takeout!

Several years later and this place is still so delicious! Pretty consistent steady Winston place…read morewhere you can get any kind of Asian food. Which is why I was here . We wanted sushi and red curry and they delivered us some excellent eats. Service was awesome and the manager still always comes by to ask if everything is ok. Love that. Probably at some point will need a Reno as they have been open awhile but nothing looked bad nice busy atmosphere and lots of customers which is nice to see. We ordered a standard vodka soda from the drink menu. They have drink specials every day as well. Then we tried the sweet heat roll which was so pretty ! Delicious with all the sushi elements. Yum. Then we tried the poke bowl with ahi tuna. Wow so big! Rice, seaweed salad and lots of Veggies and a yummy soy wasabi vinaigrette. The tuna sashimi was so fresh. Then the red curry with chicken. We asked for extra Thai spicy and it was just the perfect heat. Served with white rice this was a huge portion honestly could have served 3 people. We still had a lot left over . They were also great about giving us another bowl of rice which is also a nice touch . The sauce here for this red curry is amazing. I will be back to buy it as we asked if they sell it and our server said yes . It is one of the best I've ever had. We were somewhat totally full !! Haha! Such a fun night here eating all this amazing Great food . I need to make sure I come back sooner than a few years! If your red curry fan definitely come here!

Our soups and appetizer were the absolute best thing we ate. Our entrees were okay. My husband got the beef bulgogi and it needed something. He thought the addition of chili sauce would make it ideal. He gave it a 6 out of 10. I ordered the hibachi beef bowl and it was lacking flavor. The beef was well cooked but didn't seem to have any salt, soy sauce, or anything like that. It was a 5 out of 10.

The center is one of those twisting/ turning ones that stays busy. There is no table service, you order at the register, pay up, and await your order. The service was ok, but not at all pleasant, no thank you! I ordered an egg roll ($1.75), chicken wings (4 for $7.75) and Mongolian Beef ($10.25). The order took just about 20 minutes. All the items were good to very good. The chicken wings were full wings, well sized, nicely cooked, and full of flavor. At the current prices for this item at most places, this is a bargain, and a tasty one! The egg rolls, there were 2 of them, were small compared with those at other places, but there were 2! The roll was nicely cooked, and had a nice flavor. The Mongolian Beef was a nice version with plenty of tender, sliced beef. The sauce was a bit heavy, but was not totally overpowering. There were a collection of veggies as you see at many places, which is not what the original dish calls for, and seems to make the dish appear larger than it would other wise be. All in all, this was tasty and a good choice for Chinese American fare. Ambiance - 1 Food - 4 Service - 3 Value - 4

Their chicken wings, which used to be so good, they were a meal themselves are now not the same. The oil they cooked them in was exhausted and needed to be changed. The bean curd and vegetables was missing seasonings and flat. We tried them twice and both times it was not good. Coming from a restaurant background still in our family, it is quite obvious that the new owners of the China Restaurant have cheapened the menu and need to do better. We cannot recommend them.
