The shop has beautiful homey items- Table cloths, napkins, towels, closet accessories.... I purchased the most fragrant Lavender and eucalyptus sachets. It's known as sachets by the yard. It was about $24.00. You can hang the entire yard of sachets in the closet or you can cut them to have individual packets. I wish the iPhone had an app where everyone could smell this wonderful scent. I also purchased lavender sachets to give to mom. The manager was super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely return to this shop. I just have to be careful because I could spend a fortune here. LOL...

The moment I walked by the Beach House, I instantly noticed the beautiful kitchen ware in the window. Our party finally went inside and my boyfriend and I settled on a set of cloth napkins. We had been looking for a nice set for a long while, but couldn't quite find a set that spoke to us until we visited this lovely shop. The short blonde lady who waited on me was very sweet and patient. However, her co-worker, a taller blond lady, took her place and was extremely curt and rude. It took me by surprise because we were having such a lovely experience. She snatched my credit card out of my hand, and when she was finished processing my purchase, she literally threw it back at me on the counter. Then, she reluctantly wrapped my napkins, but it was with full contempt. Why? I have no idea since the other lady was very nice and I had barely interacted with them or anyone else in the store prior to that moment. I hope that if I do visit this shop again, that I have a nicer experience, and perhaps do not run into that lady.

a cute little shop located on main street in vineyard haven, has everything from simple elegant…read moreclothes to household items including books, dining china and even baby items. they also have an assorment of flowers and do deliveries for any occasion. although most of the items there seem to be out of my price range, i liked what they had to offer. all staff is knowledgeable, classy and friendly. it is definitely not like any other shop on main street, which is why i think it is so great. every tourist is used to the black dog shops and all the shops that seem so pretentious, but this a small store with fabulous items and offers something a little different.

The girl landed some sweet sun wear and a pair of kicks, and I dropped the ball on picking up my OluKais, but it's easy to pop back in being centrally located in Vineyard Haven's downtown stretch. On a budget? Outlet items are scattered along the rear of the store and in a designated spot on the downstairs level. Save ten, brah!

You can both get a $5 mug here and an expensive Le Creuset French Oven here, with everything in between. The selection includes a lot of white dishware, Le Creuset cooking items, lobster-themed dishes and serverware, a huge selection of coffee mugs with very reasonable price tags on them, cooking utensils, kitchen appliances, napkins, tablecloths, you name it! The one (major) drawback to this store is that they are NOT WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE and have a large front step, as well as a tall flight of stairs inside. It would be nice if they put a doorbell by their entrance so that someone in a wheelchair requiring assistance could let the people at the register know to come to the front door. Even nicer would be if they got an inexpensive, foldable metal ramp off of Amazon to put out in order to accommodate their wheelchair-using would-be customers. However, they WILL help someone out at the front door if they notice you there. I give them a little more leeway than I would for a business off-island, because on Martha's Vineyard, there just aren't a lot of options for well-stocked, affordable kitchenware stores. There's not much else to say, other than the usual Martha's Vineyard caveat: call ahead to double-check their hours, especially in the off-season. This is an excellent store, and I recommend it to anyone looking for kitchenware or a little island kitsch on the Vineyard!

They do nothing to enhance the ambiance down there, but if you take the time to sort through what they have you could find that surprise item that you can't find anywhere else for half the price or even less. But back upstairs, they have everything from vacation wear to formal wear. From every season, to outdoor sports, to accessories. If you like that New England look the MA Islands are so famous for, this is where you can find it. Most often when we come here we shop in both stores. Sometimes we climb back and forth trying to decide if we like the deal downstairs more than the full priced item upstairs. You should try it when in Vineyard Haven. It could have been my disappointed countenance, a personal conviction or a little bit of both but she extended an exceedingly deeper discount. It may be perceived as only a few dollar savings but I consider it a special gift and warm island welcome.
