Highly reccomended! I had never been to Timekeepers, but took my new Nixon watch there to get a few links taken out on a recommendation. The guy behind the counter was friendly, helpful, and got right to work on my watch. Less than 5 minutes later, and a few precision whacks with a hammer, he handed it back to me with the links in a small plastic pouch. I asked him how much I owed him, and he told me there was no charge. The jeweler down the street said I would have to come back the next day, and wanted to charge me $8 per link (3 links). Simply a terrific experience. I have gone to another place to get my watch batteries replaced and I have never had a bad experience at that place, but I cannot afford to spend that amount all the time on a simple service and after doing some research, I decided to try this place. I went here to get the batteries replaced in three of my watches and the person working there looked at them and told me it would cost $5 for each watch and would only take a few minutes. About four minutes had past when he finished replacing the batteries to all three of my watches. However, he told me that one of the watches still was not working after the battery change so he only charged me $10 for the two that did work and gave me advice on what to do about the one that did not work. In short, the employee was very nice, helpful, and efficient. Edit: I finally took the watch that wasn't working to another place to get looked at and it turns out that one of the screws was messed up and that the person I had asked previously didn't attempt to replace the battery. However, I still recommend this place if you are within the area and you just need a quick battery replacement. read more

My watch band broke (the links became disconnected) and he fixed it in about 45 seconds and wouldn't let me pay for it. Great business, nice guys. Just make sure you don't go there on a Saturday after 3 pm; they're not open until 5 pm like this yelp page suggests. read more

I can't imagine any well-run business, these days, not going overboard to try to help a customer or even a would-be customer, but the gentlemen running this business were nothing short of rude. We brought in a watch and they spent about 45 seconds looking at it before dimissing it as "common" and worth nothing. They couldn't wait for us to leave their shop - or so it seemed. Rarely do I give a company a 5 star review but I must say I stopped in on a Friday afternoon at 4:45pm just 15 minutes before closing and there was a line of about 6 of us waiting to be helped (which I overheard from another repeat customer was unusual). The owner was great about getting each of us helped in turn and was quick to take care of all of our needs (band replacement, link addition, new battery). All of us were out of the shop before 5:00pm. Helping 6 customers in 15 minutes, with exceptional friendly service and in a professional manner is impressive. It's cash/check "no plastic" and when one of the customers unaware didn't have the cash, she was simply told to bring it by next time - even when she offered to go to the ATM, he simply told her it's Friday afternoon just bring it by next time. Without a line I would have been in and out in 5 minutes and for all of $5 my COACH watch is back up and running like new, he even set the time for me. I highly recommend Timekeepers for anyone who has any watch or clock repair need. read more

Just went to Timekeepers with my daughter to get our little German cuckoo clock fixed. I walked into a little cluttered ma and pa shop with old and new clocks ticking all around me. I felt like I was in a shop like Geppetto's from Pinocchio. I was happy to see other cuckoo clocks on the wall. I explained my problem with the clock and a man from the desk came out to help me. He began explaining to my daughter the parts of the clock, how he was fixing it, and how to maintain it while captivating my 9 year old daughter like it was a new app on my iPhone! By the time he was finished, my daughter held and walked the clock to our car as if it was the most prized possession our family owns. He spent a total of 10 minutes, fixed a minor problem, and didn't charge us for the clock. I would have happily paid him for it. But the reason that I am going out of my way to Yelp today is NOT because I had a free service today, but because I met a community member and shopkeeper that cares more about clocks and people than nickel and diming them. His obvious knowledge and enthusiasm towards clocks feeding a child's curiously so naturally and sincerely makes me happy to know shops like these exist in this community. My daughter got into our car and said, "wow mom, it's like he had magic clock hands!" These are the kind of local shops I want to support and give my money to "keep them ticking!" Great service from my one time there. They were nice enough to fix my band right there on the spot. I provided the replacement band and he was kind enough to just make the repair for free. Also gave me great advice about not taking my watch into the shower or jacuzzi. Soap and heat not good for the watch. read more

Had three watches that I thought needed batteries -- they tested and found out that only one did (and therefore only charged me $5 for the one). I left a satisfied customer only to realize that I had forgotten to ask to get a couple of links taken out of the watch -- they did it promptly. The battery tests, swap and link removals took less than 5 minutes total. It was clear that the other patrons in the store that they were long-time customers ... Timekeepers was recommended to me for watch battery replacement and outstanding service. I didn't realize that they do not accept credit cards and only had $3 in my pocket. The owner, incredibly nice said "no problem, just mail me a check". Who does that anymore??? I've been asking around and looking for a clock shop for years for my out-of-commision Beidermier wall clock. It was put out of sorts by the move to San Diego and two expensive repairs in another shop produced nothing. It turns out I've been driving by this shop all this time. Finally saw the reviews in Yelp. They are true. Mario quickly adjusted it and went out of his way to give me instructions for transporting and setting up at home. He urged me to call for more assistance if I had any problems with the set up. It wasn't necessary - for the first time in 6 years it is ticking away. read more
