Glenn at IDS Autoshred personally answered my call, warmly welcomed me to New York and completely surprised me by refusing to charge me for the service. Instead, he simply asked that I bring donuts for his team, whom he clearly appreciates and treats with great respect! When I arrived, I was welcomed like family. I was invited to be part of the shredding process, shared some laughs and had the chance to learn about Glenn, his family, his company and even got a few great insights about living in NYC. It was refreshing to see a business built on integrity, generosity and genuine human connection. Any time I need shredding services in the future, I will absolutely return to Glenn and IDS Autoshred. You placed your documents into a plastic garbage can and then they loaded that into a truck. There were a bunch of things that you couldn't place into the truck like batteries. I was asked not to add red welds which makes sense because they are thick. I saw a man try to put some weird wet documents into the bin and he was asked to remove them because they could possibly cake up the shredding apparatus. Despite all of this, the representative from the company patiently assisted everyone with an upbeat spirit. My neighbors love that event and are very thankful for it. They love it so much. They always put it on my calendar. It is a great community service and the gentleman from USA Shred was patient, courteous and very helpful. If you are considering a public-facing shredding event or need to shred significant amounts of documents, this place is a good option!

Since VRC bought out our previous shredding company, we have had nothing but problems. We fired them as of 1.1.2026 and continue to get invoices with no backup of explanation of what they think we owe them. I recommend avoiding this company entirely. Happily, the new company we hired for our company-wide shredding services has been everything which VRC was not.
