I came here with my gf on Henry Fong Night Market night. Before the show there was free Hawaiian food catered by Shootz which was so delicious. Inside the venue there was plenty of seating and the space was spacious and clean. DJ Henry Fong played more old skool trance style which is totally up my alley. We had a blast! As a big fan of edm events and having been to around 20 different venues and nightclubs, this was probably the worst. It is not a venue for music fans, it's a venue for old-school club-goers. They somehow have worked out a deal to get some really big dj names but their venue really can't support it. The dance floor is like 10ft across. They only have tables otherwise you're relegated to the outskirts of the venue (they keep you far away so their bottle girls have free access to the tables surrounding the dance floor). If you want to sit for a few minutes then be prepared to get there early and fight for the 2-3 tables that are free next to the entrance. Randoms people will likely walk over you and sit on top the couches that you're actively sitting on so don't get too comfortable. Better off driving 2 hours to a different city with a venue that understands edm fans. Basically this is just a basic nightclub. Bonus for free parking. But I would never come here to see my favorite artists after that first visit. Not unless they completely remove those tables from the dance door area. read more

Attended bingo Loco at Time night club with my girlfriend and her meetup group. Apparently tables are only available with bottle service which started around $150 and went up from there. Because this was bingo Loco there were additional tables on the dance floor which didn't require bottles service, but the chairs were packed together so tightly that it was very challenging to get into and out of. Fortunately after the first bingo game started some staff members came and took away a few unused seats. That added enough space to be able to sit down without having to pull the chair completely out and into the very narrow aisle between the tables. I understand that this is a nightclub and the music/noise level is going to be high. However the sound system was so loud that it was physically painful and I would bet well above the safe level for hearing loss. The bars were tended and had fairly short lines. Drinks were on the pricey side in my opinion, but the nightclub so I might just be out of touch. Water was $5, and the drinks advertised at the bar seemed to start around $15 and go up to $24 if my memory serves. Overall, I don't think that I would want to return. The noise level, high prices, and crowds weren't to my liking. Again, though, the nightclub scene is definitely not my jam so it might be right up the alley for someone who's a clubber. read more

Came to watch Darude and we were coralled like cattle. No space to dance or even sway. We could barely breathe, it was so hot. There's a small dance floor in front of the stage. The staff push people to keep squeezing into each other. It was incredibly hot and there's no way to dance. As the hours went by, they pushed more and more people onto the floor. Finally, I couldn't breathe, so I left the dance floor to find another place to stand. Unfortunately, there's very few space to stand. Definitely none with a view of the stage. And anywhere we tried to stand, we kept getting told we can't stand there. Definitely no place to dance at all. We ended up finding a spot near the restroom. Because it smelled, it had less people. The other challenge with the space is the overhang around the perimeter of the venue. So if you're not on the dance floor, you're view will be blocked by the overhang. I do appreciate the free mall parking. At night when we were leaving the club, they blocked the path to the stairs and escalator. So only way to go up 4 flights is by 1 elevator. Went out later, had a bite to eat, went home and jumped into bed up early the next day Love this idea love it love it love it. ! We danced for three hours straight. The only thing that really bothered me. someone spilled a drink on the dance floor, all over the dance floor and there was no one there to clean it up. Came here to see Jai Wolf and it was our first time at this club. At first glance, it was a nice venue. It was a huge circle like a fishbowl lol cant get lost inside. The only complaint I had is unclear instructions on where we can stand to watch the show and where walkway is. It was hard to understand security and their instructions so it was frustrating finding a good view only to be told we couldnt stand there, but other people standing a couple feet away got to stand there? Sad that there arent big enough space to see the center of the stage and would have to stand on the sidelines. Overall, it was a good show and we enjoyed the performance. read more

We were actually able to book a table the same day, which I didn't expect for a club of this size and reputation. It definitely made the night easier and took the stress out of planning. The highlight for me was getting to see DJ Soda perform. The energy in the room completely shifted when she came on, and the crowd was fully locked in. Her set was lively, upbeat, and exactly the kind of vibe I was hoping for. I will say the venue itself wasn't as big as I imagined. With all the hype around Time, I expected a more expansive layout, but it's actually pretty compact. The upside is that it keeps the energy tight and focused, but it also means it can feel crowded quickly. The service was okay--not bad, but not particularly memorable either. Our table was handled efficiently enough, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Time Nightclub is usually not one of my first choices for a night out. I only end up here when a DJ I like is playing and I have nothing else going on, which is convenient since it's local. But if that same DJ is playing somewhere else, I'll choose the other venue every time. My biggest issue is the layout. The dance floor is tiny because they added tables all around it, which kind of kills the vibe. Depending on the night, the line to actually get onto the dance floor can get ridiculously long. When it's packed, there's barely any room to move, let alone dance. The most recent night I went wasn't as crowded though and there were no lines. The bouncer even helped us navigate through the crowd to get to the front of the dance floor. Having space to breathe and dance definitely made the experience better that night. The drinks here are on the sweeter side, and for some reason it always takes forever to get one, even when the bar isn't that busy. Also, the sticky glasses are not my favorite surprise. On the bright side, the bathrooms have been relatively clean, so points for that. Overall, it's not a bad time, but it's not my go-to. I come for specific DJs and convenience, not because the club itself draws me in. read more

I was at the Pauly D event and saw a gap in the front, so I took it. Two couples were upset about me being there. One man pinned me against the railing and started grinding his crotch against me. Another woman started shoving me, yelling, and confronting me. They complained to security, so I was removed.Security told me they'd already received complaints about that group and were going to give them a warning. Located at the Triangle Square in Costa Mesa, Time Nightclub is a rare find in regards to high tier nightclubs in the OC. Partnered with Insomniac, it attracts an impressive line up of reputable DJs and the sound quality is top notch. If EDM isn't your thing, they offer a variety of other music genres and events, as well. Dance floor is a bit on the smaller side but there's plenty of room around the surrounding bar areas for you to dance or hang out. I've been here a handful of times and I'd have to say no other night clubs in the OC compare. If you're looking for top notch DJs great sound quality set in a Vegas like night club setting, this place is for you. The crowd runs the gamut from younger college students to rave daddies and mommies. Most importantly, the vibe is good, people are friendly and fun. If you get there early enough (by 10pm) you might experience actual space. When the venue starts filling out, they create 'lines' on each corner but no matter how full the main floor is, you keep on having more people go into the middle of the dance floor. 'Security' will flash lights on the crowd to push forward. It was tiring not to have space to dance and constantly move forward for others to get in. I think it is not worth it. read more

Came here for a Bingo Loco event (which was super fun!). It was my first time here but it's easy to find - ground level, just below Yard House, next to the bowling alley. Staff was super friendly and the ambiance was amazing! Lots of cute seating and different "rooms" and the bars are very pretty. Definitely a well thought out place. The reason I'm taking two stars away is because of the drinks. Each cocktail was $20 and neither (I ordered two different cocktails) seemed to have an ounce of alcohol in them. I'm a lightweight and will see double from half a glass of wine so the fact that I had two cocktails and felt absolutely normal means they were not putting much of anything in these. For $20 - that's ridiculous. Also - they tacked on an 18% service charge to each bill (of 1 drink) which seemed crazy. I didn't notice the first time and left a good tip ON TOP of the 18%. First time here, came to see G eazy, parking was super easy and close, structure connected to the venue, was free to park. Security and getting in was fast and they were friendly. Very clean venue, Vegas vibes with tables and bottle service, sound inside was amazing, no matter where you were, you were very close to the stage. Drinks were reasonably priced. For all my LGBTQIA+ friends out there, this place is NOT FOR US! My friend (FTM) and I (MTF) are trans. We are both considered passable and dress properly for the venue. In the security, a security who's black woman come up to me and ask are you a woman or a man? Emphasizing the word man as her tone was more stern on the "Man". I told her I am a trans woman and she told me to go to the male security, I was in a good mood so I just went there and after the male security inspection on my friend he was thinking why I was there but the black woman mouthed "a man" on the guy but thank goodness the guy didn't touch me much and just touch my side and check my bag. read more

First time at Time Machine earlier this month. It was fun. Rsvp'ing for the "event" is definitely you'd want to do or else you'll have to pay to get in. I felt old, but my friends assured me that we weren't that old. The oldest clubber there was probably in his late 50s - early 60s. I felt better haha Drinks at the bar were pricey and you get more mixer than the alcoholic beverage. The bartenders were nice so that's a plus. The Photobooth was fun, but beware it'll eat your money. We paid for an actual printout of our photos, but instead we got the digital version which you could get for free by entering your email. First and last time we'll be going here. This nightclub has the smallest dance floor where you have to wait in line to even be let in. We did get there by 10pm and there was still room. By the end of the night, I was on the back railing after being pushed back by a crowd of people that came in much later. First time we actually left early from a club. It was uncomfortable and our first experience with some really rude people. This one group was literally pushing everyone around and trying to pick a fight. Security? Nowhere. When you drive from the freeway, it eventually ends and leads you straight to the free parking on the right. Getting in was quick and the dress code is really not that strict. Drink was okay, not too strong. Sound quality was great and the Photo Booth was a plus. However, we went there for the dance floor and to enjoy other people's company. That gets one star. read more

Came here with a group of about 10 to see Jason Ross, and while the music and energy were solid, the overall experience was just okay -- mostly due to the overwhelming crowd. The line outside was massive, but fortunately I was on the guest list and was able to skip it. Security was standard -- quick pat-down and on my way in. Once inside though, it was packed. Getting to the bar was a mission, and once we finally got drinks (we ordered AMFs), they were expensive and just average in taste and strength. Trying to get onto the dance floor was another ordeal. There was an actual line to enter the floor, and we ended up "tipping" the security guard just to get in. Even then, it was shoulder-to-shoulder packed and nearly impossible to move around -- not ideal for a group of 10 trying to stay together. The crowd skewed heavily toward early 20s -- think college-aged energy. Definitely not a bad vibe, just something to keep in mind depending on what you're looking for. Everything wrapped up fast around 1:30AM -- lights came on, music off, and the staff ushered everyone out pretty abruptly. Overall, if you're coming for a specific artist and don't mind navigating intense crowds and pricey drinks, you'll probably enjoy it. I went for a concert here, in order to get in you wait in a line outside which goes by quickly but the problem is getting to dance floor because there's another line inside for you to wait in order to go inside the dance floor. Once you get inside it's so overcrowded and everyone was just rubbing on each other. However, the staff was nice even tho the artist I went to see was supposed to start @10pm and I kept asking if he was coming and they would just say another hour and he didn't arrive until 1am but that's probably not the clubs fault who knows. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Time nightclub but I've also never really had an overly exciting or fun experience. I will say that the bouncers are chill and drinks are reasonable. I've never met anyone who I didn't like but much like any nightclub, it is very hard to get onto the dance floor and people don't really interact with each other the way they would at a festival. There have been so many fun times here at Time Nightclub, from seeing SAYMYNAME, Wax Motif, and recently Martin Ikin for Night Trip. It's a fun club to hang out with your friends and dance to some rap or EDM artists. This is 100% the best club for EDM music. The shopping center Time nightclub has plenty of free parking in the garage. Upon arrival, they will check your ID (21+) and pat you down from top to bottom. Then you show your tickets for entrance. They have two bars inside, one on each side, and a small dance floor. They also have tables that you buy surrounding the dance floor. My favorite part of this club is that it's loud, everyone is vibing to the music, and they bring in some great house artists. They have loud speakers, cool chandeliers and large screen behind DJ for visuals. Tickets are usually on the cheaper side as well. I hate that the dancefloor gets full so fast! They also let in way too many people where you can't have a fun time. Everyone is sweaty, and you are just getting pushed around. But also, on the other end, it's hard to get on the dancefloor by a specific time, and there ends up being a fat line. Good luck getting back in if you go to the bathroom or get a drink! read more

Let's put it this way: I'm Sutra old. Maybe it's just me looking into my past with rose-tinted glasses, but I thought Sutra was a superior club in terms of experience. Sure, it was small as hell, but it was packed and fun. Anyway, just like most things these days, it's all about profit and and Time isn't any different. If you aren't popping off bottles and being paraded around with tacky and gaudy displays of alcohol and flashing lights, then your ass is getting corralled into dinky little "dance floors" away from the stage with the rest of the poors. And it works because I totally would've just gotten a table had I known how miserable the GA experience would be. That isn't to say that I haven't been here before, but it's been years. I kinda forgot just how lame it was. Not even the GA experience, but Time as a whole. Honestly, don't even bother with Time. The crowd sucks, the blatant attempt to make your experience miserable unless you spend more money, the venue just sucks period. Academy sucks too, but at least the dance floor is an actual dance floor. People hate Exchange, but I love it. Avalon is great too. See? Went for EDM 2010s flashback. Doors open at 10pm. Great vibes however, DJs didn't play much of my favorite EDM music.

TLDR: low alcohol, high cost + hostile manager Manager threatened to kick me off property when I said my medically required electrolyte beverage in my water bottle was protected by ADA. She demanded I show her proof of my disability, to which I explained that was not necessary for an ADA Title 3 accommodation. She then said she was legally not allowed to let me bring it in, so I asked what law was preventing her and she got very angry and kept repeating she could kick me off private property. I politely but firmly said that would be discrimination based on my disability which is not legal and that I am legally allowed to bring medically necessary items onto private property as protected by the ADA. I offered to pour my beverage from my water bottle into a cup so she can test it to ensure it's just water/electrolytes, and after 10 minutes outside, she came back, smell-tested it and told me she'd make an exception. I understand that venues need to make sure that people don't bring outside alcohol in their "water" bottles but the hostility and immediate escalation on her part to threatening my removal when I simply asked what law she was referencing when she claimed she legally could not let me enter the venue was uncalled for, inappropriate, embarrassing and harassing. It genuinely makes me concerned for anyone working under her management and how they are treated - she went from polite to threatening within a simple question. All she had to do was ask to smell it to ensure it's not alcohol and the whole thing would have been over. Not to mention, she followed my partner and I around the club several times, even after we bought their expensive drinks with minimal alcohol. Oh yeah, did I mention the drinks were pretty awful? $15-$20 per drink for less than a shot of alcohol per drink. The younger bouncer was cool and kind, the older one was just doing his job, so I don' blame him, but the manager was openly hostile at the first sign of my defense of my legal right to bring reasonable accommodations into a public-facing business, which is a huge liability and a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more
