However, upon entering Cherry Creek Watch Company, I was immediately greeted. The horologists, Gyles and Nick, immediately got to work on evaluating my watch. They found the model name and value of my watch. They also took apart the watch and showed me the internals, as well as testing the timing of the watch. Moreover, they re-sized the watch for me. All this was done free of charge. I'm personally not a fan or collector of watches. However, the top-notch service provided to me demonstrates that Cherry Creek Watch Company is a business you can trust and depend on.

I found a ring design I loved and wanted to modify, and they provided multiple modification options--from their in-house team and the ring maker. The wax model they created was a game-changer, helping me visualize the final product perfectly. My engagement ring turned out so beautifully that I trusted them with two other custom projects for my wedding. For my wedding necklace, I wanted to use the stone from my proposal ring. I asked for recommendations on how to add interest without overshadowing the main stone, and they delivered stunning designs. I also worked with Haley to create a custom wedding band. Like Aria, Haley was incredibly helpful, offering suggestions and sharing her extensive knowledge of different stones, settings, and metals. I was more indecisive with the wedding necklace and wedding band design, going back and forth on several ideas. Haley was exceptionally patient, listened to my evolving vision, and helped me narrow it down while managing my expectations. Some of their employees will only go off hallmarks instead of taking the time to test precious metals using other testing methods. They did not do any kind of buyout process for the stones in the pieces I melted either. In addition, they lack options to create a custom piece. They only had one fine chain option in gold, which was surprising. I decided not to go that route and instead ordered a designer piece. I waited around for about two months to hear for them. I finally called and was informed there had been an issue with the piece, and it had to be remade, yet no one could tell me why. When the remake came in, it was not what I had discussed with the owner. I opted for another designer piece, but they didn't have it in the length I wanted. They told me they could order it but that I would have to commit to it without even seeing the stone first. I contacted the designer directly and found out that the piece was a standard option on their website and that if I ordered through them, I wouldn't have had to commit if I didn't like the stone. It was too late for me to order directly as HJ had already added the extra length. I should have reached out to the designer sooner. I was charged a hefty labor fee for a minor adjustment to the chain. They made no mention of the labor fee and then claimed they gave me a discount on labor as if they did me a huge favor. Most jewelers I've worked with offer complimentary resizing and minor adjustments when a minimum purchase is met. I was often talked down to and made to feel incompetent through my entire experience. HJ took no accountability for their actions during any of the interactions I had with them. I could have saved a few hundred dollars ordering directly from the designer due to Boulders' hefty taxes/fees and HJ's labor fee. I like to support small businesses, but I wouldn't support this one again.

(Having never pawned or traded or sold or whatever this is before, I was unprepared.) The Retail Value on what I turned in is roughly $175, and when you sell to these places, you'll get much less. I got $25. Which, to be honest, was great because I found 'em at the bottom of a box, and I wouldn't have a CLUE how to sell old earrings otherwise. So, I got a free dinner out of it. But if you have the time or resources, I'm sure there are other places out there that will pay more. Apparently, they also do jewelry and watch repair.

But they do have a little bit of everything that a jewelry store would be expected from precious stones and metals to man-made stones. With a price range for every one. But what I really like about this establishment is the service. Even though as it seems one person gets the commission ( I think) if their is one but they all or seem to be assisting with the final sale. One thing also that I thought was cool was back in the day they use to give you an eyeglass to check out your or the cuts of the jewels now they put it under a microscope and the imagery is transferred onto a monitor. My fiancé customized my ring at Mark's Diamonds and it's so perfect. Secondly, I had to get my new ring resized and they did it in no time. Because they have a jeweler onsite this makes it easier for them to make repairs a lot quicker. I also had to have a quick repair done on the prong and they were able to do this with a quick turnaround also. Same properties and ratings as real diamonds but made in a lab versus from natural diamonds found in the earth. I was told they are significantly less expensive, but the uncertain thing is how well they will retain their value. They are nicer than zirconians, but why not just get the real thing?
