    If you want a unique dining menu, this is your spot. The chef is Danny Garcia who was on Top Chef and his knowledge of food definitely shines throughout the menu. I was with a group of 10, so we ordered majority of the menu. Highlights include the goldfish, caviar, fries, steak and tuna lettuce wraps. The olive oil cake and banana split were also fantastic desserts. Outside of the food, the service was incredible. My water glass was never empty and I was never without a cocktail. Bag and coat check is available.

    This review is for the Time and Tide restaurant week menu, which had a lot of the populaf dishes from the regular menu for a much reduced price. My party also ordered a few other items to share in addition to the resfaurant week menu as well. Overall, my personal favorite dishes were the uni toast and the grilled sword fish. The uni toast was a bit light on the uni taste, but the spread for the toast had an amazing texture and blend of flavors. I am a huge fan of citrus and it is used on most of the items we ordered (savory and dessert), so be careful if the acidi taste is not for you! The drinks were also amazing, including the non alcoholic option of the grape fruit mocktail! Will definitely be back to try more things

    Beautiful and spacious interior with tasty, technically impressive food. Prices are pretty eye-watering, especially for the size of some of the portions (looking at you trout crudo) but service is quick and attentive as you'd expect from a higher-level of fine dining. The menu is a bit eclectic, ranging from the cheddar goldfish (a little too large) to the 'beef-Wellington' style halibut. Best thing on the menu is the crab tagliatelle which, at $36, almost seems like a bargain compared to the rest of the menu. If you're looking to try Time and Tide (maybe you watched the Bon Appetit video) I'd recommend giving their Restaurant Week menu ($60) a shot.

    Huge, spacious place. Appetizers were delicious. Leek Salad and Wedge Salad both were refreshing with unique dressing. Red Snapper Crudo - tasty and stasted fresh. Entree were not as great as appetizers. Longfin Squid Cacio e Pepe - squid was not fully cooked so the middle part was slimy and mushy. Swordfish - I don't understand this dish, if purism seems to be the goal but the fish seems frozen not fresh so the fishy smell was overpowering.. Halibut Pithivier - came here for this, unfortunately was surved lukewarm and the pastry wasn't puffy or not in the texture it should be, a bit disappointed. Dessert - Olive Oil Cake was very good! So fluffy and came with coconut ice cream. Cocktail menu looks very interesting but the taste didn't match up with the excitement from the menu/description.

    Our new favorite spot! Time and Tide is great in every aspect - food, drinks, ambience, service, decor. It checks all the boxes for a fantastic dining experience. The staff is friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The food is excellent quality with a unique twist on some classics. And the drinks were perfectly crafted. You can't go wrong with anything in the menu but I'd highly recommended adding a goldfish to your order and splurging on the halibut. The tables are big and well spaced out which is a nice treat for NYC. The space is massive and has two bars with a decent amount of seating as well. Overall I'd say Time and Tide seems great for pretty much any occasion. Note: the entrance is on 26th.

    Time and Tide markets itself as a "fish house," incorporating fish into just about every aspect of the menu. This is a fantastic idea, to a point. I still can't quite figure out the appeal of an uni mezcal shot. The novel giant Cheddar Goldfish pulls off the classic cracker flavor and is a fun way to start the meal. The cracker comes with a Old Bay Butter that has nothing to do with a cheese cracker but you'll eat it anyway because it's that good. The Uni Toast will make you scratch your head as you continually shovel it into your mouth trying to figure out if you like it or not (I decided that I didn't and, funnily enough, it's no longer on the menu). The Cacio e Pepe Squid was two steps outside my comfort zone of fish and cheese combinations, doing nothing to soften the general chewiness of the squid. The undisputed star of the show is the Halibut Pithivier, which was phenomenal in both style and substance. Finally, the Apple Tart Tatin was spectacular and practically outshone dinner. This is a place to bring anyone you want to impress. Wear the dress, wear the shoes - this is a high end Park Ave restaurant with moody lighting and plenty of mirrors, go off. @alex.eats.365

    Time and Tide is gorgeous. SO happy to have made it out on opening week. Slightly hard to find because they have no signage yet but you enter on the 26th street side of it. Once you walk in you feel like you've teleported into another place. The seating is spacious and comfortable and the dinnerware is sleek and fun. I was sat at an okay table but I saw some round two seat tables that I requested to move to. One of the managers went to ask the host if it was possible and I was denied because they were " fully booked and the people coming requested all of the circle tables." I will just say that the entire duration of our meal those seats were available. Not so smart of a move to make people want to come back but THANKFULLY the kitchen and sommelier saved the dinner. The food was amazing. We only have two stomachs to feed so I must return to try the rest of the menu. We ordered the sardine toast, the goldfish cracker, longfin squid, mackerel escabeche, prawns a la plancha, and the seared swordfish. These were ALL excellent. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the cheddar cracker was made. the long fin squid was expertly prepared, tender with a nice char flavor. We ordered the swordfish on a recommendation because I typically do not enjoy swordfish. Time and tide have officially converted me and now I can say that I do like it but only when they make it :) When, not if, I return I will consider repeating the swordfish, the cheddar goldfish, and the longfin squid again. The rest will be new dishes. Everything was great but those were my favorite. The wine list is something to bring up as it is organized by regional oceans. They have timeless classics but take a deeper dive into some really interesting wines. The price ranges are approachable. It meets several budgets so anyone can explore. We were able to get two bottles without breaking the bank! Keep up the great work and see you guys soon!

    Live in the neighborhood and have been here twice now, both times were a huge hit. The big goldfish is a fun bit but the mains were actually the stars of the show: the tuna collar was a dish unlike anything I've had before and incredibly delicious, albeit a bit overwhelming. The squid cacio e Pepe works surprisingly well, too, and my favorite dish was the large, juicy prawns with mussel butter. The sundae is a great end to the meal to top it all off. This is a massive restaurant, which is nice because it means it's not as difficult to get a reservation as some of the other hyped restaurants in the city. Service was friendly and solid all around and prices were reasonable for quality of food + solid portions-I look forward to coming back soon.

    We were really excited to try Time and Tide after seeing their feature on Eater! The Snack That Smiles Back - A giant cheddar goldfish with chives & Old Bay butter. Super cute and creative, but honestly, I would've preferred classic bread and butter. The cheddar flavor got a little heavy by the end. Trout Crudo - I've had much better crudos, and for $20+, I expected more fish (there were only 5 slices) and if not, fancier ingredients that would be worth the price here King Crab Tagliatelle - This was the surprise hit! Super creamy, packed with crab, but still felt balanced thanks to the citrus notes. Would definitely order again. Halibut Pithivier - Think beef Wellington, but with halibut inside. The texture was unreal--probably the most tender halibut I've ever had. But despite how gorgeous it looked, the flavor didn't quite live up to expectations. The sauce (you get to pick one of four) helped, though! Overall, some great ideas, but not everything landed for me. Would come back for the pasta, but I'd probably rethink my other choices.

    Very good seafood. The cheddar goldfish was really tasty as was the snapper. The pineapple and cabbage side paired very well with the grilled fish.

    The food was overall really solid, but it still feels like Time and Tide is getting its legs with respect to service/experience. Came here on a Friday evening with two friends. I'll cover the food first and then the service. Food-wise, we opted to family style 3 restaurant week menus and then do some add ons. We got: - To start: mackerel escabeche, shrimp cocktail, steelhead trout crudo. My friends liked the mackerel the best but to me it tasted like mackerel with no additional twist (and I don't think the quality of the mackerel was enough to stand on its own). The shrimps were pretty large and meaty, with a delicious habenero sauce so I'd get that again. The crudo, while good, doesn't make sense as requiring a $9 supplement on the RW menu. - For mains: swordfish, strip steak, and crab tagliatelie. The tagliatelie was a little too rich and the pasta was just ok, especially compared to the many Italian places in the city. The swordfish was good, although swordfish isn't usually my go-to so I'd probably skip it again. However, the strip steak was really well cooked and melted so even though they bill themselves for seafood, I'd do strip steak all the way. - For dessert: the olive cake and panna cotta. Solid desserts but really nothing novel with either. - Supplements: the cheddar goldfish (duh) and longfin squid. Ok, full stop get the squid it was so good. Soft, rich, my first bite genuinely surprised me. The cheddar goldfish while fun was just a gimmick to me-- I'd rather have some soft bread rolls. In summary, I thought while there were a couple of misses and a few of the plates were a little bit small, the food largely delivered. Drinks-wise, we got the sea spritz, umami spritz, cold front, and okinawan old-fashion. They were all very solid. On service, everyone I interacted with was kind. I appreciated that they took jackets at the door, our server was friendly and felt like he checked in an appropriate amount of times. However, there were some small things that I think made the overall experience slightly lesser: - The chairs actually weren't that comfortable. This seems silly but it's true! I want a comfortable seat when I'm eating good food and it wasn't. - When we were finishing our appetizers, one of the staff came by and said "who's gonna finish that? someone has to" while pointing at the last piece of crudo on the plate. I think he probably meant it in a joking way, but it 100% did not come off like that. Honestly, it had been less than 15 minutes since we got our appetizers so it felt pretty uncalled for to be told to eat faster and it made me feel like we were being rushed the rest of the dinner. Honestly, I'll probably give Time and Tide a while before I go back so they can iron some of these details out, and will have to try it again before it becomes a place I recommend.

    Time and Tide is the latest restaurant from Kent Hospitality, the restaurant company founded by the late James Kent. This restaurant was very personal to James Kent since it was developed as a homage to his grandmother and her home in Sag Harbor. He would have been very pleased at how well it is. The food and service are phenomenal. The restaurant is excellent. The vibe is very upbeat as well.

    I dined at Time and Tide about a week ago and I was absolutely thrilled with the food and the dining experience. The service was really top notch, they definitely go the extra mile. My friend asked to sample a few wines and they were more than accommodating. Strangely, I was also taken with the bathroom. There are individual stalls with floor to ceiling doors! There was no signage when I arrived so I was the weirdo that circled the restaurant a few times [it's on 26th Street]. There's actually a hallway before you enter the main dining room. It's kind of a in-between, the street outside and the restaurant that awaits you. We ordered a few snacks: Goldfish [$9]: which looks like the childhood cracker. Your brain thinks it knows what it's going to taste like but it doesn't taste like that at all. It was almost biscuit-like. I really loved it. Nori Fries [$12]: a very large portion, they are comparable to McDonalds fries, which are my gold standard for fries. Loved them. Ketchup and mayo are served on the side. We got the Fluke Milanese [$38] as our main dish and I was kind of shocked at how big the portion was. We each got a filet. It was absolutely delicious. The coating was so crisp and crunchy. We also got two sides: the black rice [$14] and the squash [$14], which was an unexpected favorite of the table, I really enjoyed the apples in the dish. We also got the squid cacio e pepe [$28] which was good. The desserts deserve special praise. They each come with a coconut ice cream on the side. We got the olive oil cake [$18] which had some cara cara oranges on top. My favorite had to be the panna cotta [$16] though, it was set just right and the honeycomb on top was bomb. I had the Marigold Paloma [$22] which was delicious, refreshing but a little spicy. The bill came to $277 in total, I paid $134 after tax and tip.

Complimentary delicious bread, water, and warm hand towels are provided to clean your hands. The seafood buffet is $168 and you can order everything, as many times as you like. The buffet is contactless. The food is served to you at your table. Because the food is served in a manner that is based on a shared dining experience. LOVE the rococo inspiration. The opulent decor made me feel like I'm dining in a palace. Most of the tables are set up in private rooms too so you can have your own space for your feast. The all-you-can-eat menu is made fresh to order, not sitting out like a typical buffet, which makes a huge difference in quality. I loved the seafood selection: lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, mussels, octopus, fish, calamari ... you name it. What really stood out to me was how much variety there is. Even the steak, fried rice, noodles, lamb, and veggies were delicious. The service was super attentive and quick with bringing out dishes. The price is definitely a splurge, but worth it for the experience and high qualit. It's not just a meal, it's a whole vibe. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, over-the-top dining experience in Times Square!
