Pretty decent for a kids resort restaurant but definitely on the spendier side. Be prepared to pay…read moreabout $20-$25/plate and kids meals are around $18. We ordered the sampler appetizer, shrimp Alfredo, and bolognese- all of which were decent taste-wise. Wasn't the best but wasn't the worst either... this restaurant is basically your only option for dinner unless you want sub par pizza from the food stall near the pool area.

The aesthetic is nice and the menu looks promising. Unfortunately, it misses the mark by a landslide. We ordered the Chili Lime Chicken Bowl, the Short Rib Bolognese, two kid's meals with chicken tenders, and waters. No appys, cocktails, or dessert. The place was nearly empty but it took so long to get our food that we started wondering if the server had forgotten to place our order. It finally arrived. The Chili Lime Chicken Bowl looked promising when it first arrived, but it ended up being very disappointing. There was ZERO detectable chili OR lime flavor, the carrots were undercooked and crunchy, and the chicken amount I was served could only be described as "scant". Honestly, if I had gathered every tiny little shred of chicken I could find in that entire bowl, I'd be willing to bet it was less than 1.5 ounces. It was essentially a bowl of hot brown rice covered with tortilla strips and extremely bland. I tried to doctor it up with salt and pepper twice (I NEVER salt my food) and I took an orange slice from my kid's meal to squeeze all over it. That barely made it better. I ate half of it and was done. I do not recommend this item. It's a total waste of money. My husband ordered the short rib bolognese which also was presented nicely but it literally tasted like Chef Boyardee with again, almost no meat on it. MAYBE 2 ounces at best. Absolutely covered in undercooked carrots as filler. He did not enjoy it at all. The kids meals were the only decent thing we got. The chicken tasted pretty good and the fries were nice. At $12.99, I was surprised it didn't include a kids drink - most places charge that and then give a drink AND a dessert. Our bill after tip was $95. Needless to say, we canceled our reservation for tonight and will be leaving the resort to find something elsewhere. Sad.

Cozy atmosphere. There were 3 employees that night, the woman who initially waited on us actually appeared to roll her eyes when we ordered. She seemed pretty rushed and just didn't want to work that night or something. The bartender was friendly and came for our second round and he actually seemed more welcoming and friendly. The drinks menu is a bit small (compared to other nearby bars). We got 5 drinks, one espresso one which wasn't great and the rest were alright. Nothing that made us go "Oh man, try that!" but they weren't bad either. The food, looks better than normal bar food, which I loved. We ordered "Balls of Gibralter" - North African meatballs, which were *SO GOOD*, so delicious EXCEPT the texture. The flavors were all amazing, but it was as if there was too much egg and not enough breadcrumbs because it gave the impression of being wildly undercooked, even though you could see no pink. If they were firmer, they would've been perfect. They seem to have a rotating grilled cheese special I wouldn't mind checking out next time. The ambiance-lovely. In the middle of the dish was a nicely toasted brioche bagel. Egg yolk and dashi sabayon added a nice salty creamy umami touch. There were pickled beets surrounding the bagel as well. I wish there was a slight sweet crunch from candied hazelnuts. Service was quick and professional. There were over ten tables as well but I chose to sit at the bar where everyone else was. Nice vibe. Reminds me of Seattle especially seeing how my drink and roasted beets dish ended up costing $43 after service fee, tax and tip. There's no happy hour.

Beyond the rolling fog of the Pacific and tucked within the historic charm of Astoria, lies a sanctuary of pure and unadulterated (maybe a little bit of adulterated) perfection. It is called Xanadu, and it is quite possibly the most beautiful display of queer community I have seen in years. I have traveled across the nation and spent time in countless queer spaces from coast to coast, yet Xanadu stands in a league of its own. Imagine a world where the staff and the patrons exist in a state of authentic joy. There is no drama in sight. There are no pretenses. It is a place where people gather for the simple pleasure of a shared laugh and genuine connection. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, but it is the people who truly make it shine. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels like they belong to something meaningful. And then, there is the pizza. It is genuinely quick, thicc and fantastic! It provides the perfect fuel for an evening of celebration. In a world that often feels fractured, Xanadu offers a beautiful symphony of community and warmth. It has earned a permanent place in my heart and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone seeking a slice of heaven on the coast. If you find yourself in Astoria, do not pass this door by. You might just find the secret to happiness hidden right inside. Special shoutout to Josh and Brandon!!!
