Don't follow google map link!!! After following the map link through the lovely town of Beaver and ending at a water tower, we saw the other posts to not do this and got back on the freeway. Despite thus, and the marital joy it caused, the resturant had great food and greatly lifted our spirits. We got salmon, French dip, and the chicken farfalle- all were excellent- much better than you'd expect from a highway side cafe. The service was a little bland and a little slow or I would've given 5 stars. Avoid the tour of Beaver and just enjoy the food. You won't regret it. read more

Stopped by with the family on our way back north from St. George...didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Everyone in our group of 4 was happy ... and the best part was the cheesecake. My son took a bite and said, "This is the best cheesecake I've had". Skeptical, I took a bite. Man! It was delicious. Light and fluffy and sooooo creamy. I'm not even a big cheesecake fan and I ordered another piece just because I didn't want to eat all of his. Loved it. Just ate at the Inn and WOW! Husband had the day's special, grilled beef and cheese sandwich with a cup of soup and the waitress substituted the salad bar for fries. Sandwich was delicious, salad bar had everything in the world on it! Chicken soup...to die for, big chunks of chicken, hearty broth and Dutch noodles! I opted for a burger and fries. Very disappointed read other reviews and hash browns not cooked. No egg substitute. But the worst was no cinnamon rolls. At 8:30 am baker is just making them. Hello. This is a breakfast item. Won't be ready until 11 am or later. Waitress told us he has a lot to do in the mornings. Makes dinner rolls, sausage gravy etc. Maybe come to work earlier. Would not recommend this place. This place is AMAZING!!! We stopped here on a whim on our way to St. George and you sure wouldn't think you'd find a gourmet restaurant in Beaver, UT but it is! My husband got the timberline burger (which he said was one of the best burgers he's ever eaten and coming from him that means a lot) and I got the Spicy Beef and Maunster Panini--simply delicious! My daughters and I stopped in Beaver for the night on our way home from Boulder, Colorado to Southern California. The service was very friendly and prompt and the menu options were surprisingly unique and fresh. They also had a good selection of beer, sold by the bottle, served with an iced mug. I had the Turkey and Avocado Sandwich with lots of avocado, radish sprouts, sliced turkey breast, tomatoes and leaf lettuce with a yummy aioli mayo. It was so fresh and delicious. One of my daughters ordered the Veggie Panini Sandwich and the other had French Toast. Both were fantastic! I would definitely recommend the Timberline Restaurant! read more

Oh... where to start. If you have a Tesla and are looking for a place to eat while you charge, AVOID this place!!!!!! After entering the restaurant with half eaten ice cream cones and getting seated by the hostess (who didn't say a word about the ice cream cones) we wait ten minutes before the waitress came to take our order. When finally came she snapped at us for having outside food here and told us we needed to take it outside, we replied by saying sorry we didn't know that. She promptly responded by saying the hostess should have told you. From which We replied by saying that the hostess didn't say a word. She again snapped that it says it on the front door. After which we said sorry we'll take that outside after we ordered. My wife ordered a steak and I ordered a quesadilla. After which we when outside and ate the rest of our ice cream and coming inside and waiting for another forty minutes (at which point our car was almost done charging) the order of quesadilla came out with no sign of the steak. Five minutes later We get up and ask where is our steak? Waitress answered it's on the grill, and brought it out immediately with the wrong side. We said we don't want it anymore because we need to get going. The waitress then went to ask her boss what to do and came back saying, "my manager says sorry we're busy. But you need to pay for it" my wife was already so mad at them but still try to be calm and eat the steak. However the steak tasted really bad and hard. Another waitress came and ask if we were doing ok, my wife said no and explained everything to her. Then we heard the previous waitress yelling at the back saying " I'll pay for it", " they shouldn't bring the ice cream in", at this point my wife was so mad and yelled back " we already brought it out as soon as we were told!!!" Then another waitress came and threatened that she will ask us to leave. This is how they treated their customers. read more

Agree with other reviews in that this restaurant cater to locals more than travelers. Food was decent - poor service. We stayed in the area 2 nights on our way to Idaho, and one night traveling back from Idaho. Had the service been better the first time, we would have seriously considered eating there again. After leaving the Bryce Canyon Area (clearly a foodie desert) we stopped at the Timberline for breakfast. I had read some reviews and they were mixed. We decided to take our chances and were not disappointed. I had the California Omelet with bacon, avocado and Swiss cheese. My companion had the chicken fried steak and eggs. We split one of the homemade cinnamon rolls, it was delicious and not overly sweet. Everything was fresh, tasty and homemade. The service was fast and friendly. The prices very reasonable. The server was chit chatting on her phone outside while smoking a cigarette! This is by far the best restaurant in Southern Utah. The staff is so friendly and the whole experience is wonderful. I had the spaghetti and my husband had the prime rib. Both were over the top delicious. The chef is amazing. We had cheese cake for dessert and then ordered one to go. Never tasted cheese cake like this. Unbelievable!! My family and I stopped in to eat since it was mainly one of the only restaurants around. I ordered the $25.00 ribeye steak, not expecting it to be high end like a Ruth Chris. It was very chewy and tough and told the waitress about it. She took it away and after a few moments, brought it back and put it back in front of me. She said there was nothing wrong with it and basically just eat it. She then asked if I wanted a "to go box" and could take off 10%. I am a beef eater and have eaten many ribeye steaks, and I would have eaten it even if it was half way decent. After she left I looked at the steak and there was a chunk of meat missing from it. I am assuming that the owner or cook took a bite out of it and sent it back to me. I have never had this happen before and I believe because they knew we wouldn't be back this way due to it being a travel town, they didn't care if we were a satisfied customer or not. I am really upset as this is definitely NOT worth $25.00!!! I usually don't write reviews, but felt the need to do so and yelp them! My partner and I were travelling to Bryce Canyon in Utah and were looking for a place to have dinner. Spotting this restaurant along I15 near Beaver, UT we thought it looked like a good option and decided to try it out. Their dinner entrees were a bit limited but I decided to go with the pot roast and new red potatoes. The description provided said it was served in a skillet with "au jus" and a "fresh tomato and onion salad' dressed with a cilantro vinagrette. While the salad did not appeal to me, I figured beef and potatoes were a pretty safe bet. What I did not realize was that the salad, including the vinagrette, was served on top of the meat and potatoes. Let me tell you, cilantro vinagrette and pot roast are NOT as good combination. That being said, I explained to my waitress that I did not care for the dish, further explaining that I did not realize from the description on the menu that it would be served as it was. She offered to get me something else and I ordered a sandwich. A few mninutes later, the waitress returned and explained to me that "he," who I assumed was the chef or manager in charge, said that because the menu said that was how the dish was prepared that I would be charged for it. I countered that the description did not say the salad and vinagrette would be cover the entire dish and she told me that he said it did say it was in a skillet so that was basically explanation enough. I was shocked, first of all that the dish was as bad as it was but more importantly that they would not give me something else in it's place without charging me for both. I did not eat more than 2 bites of the dish so it as clear I wasn't trying to fill up and then get out of paying for my dinner. I have eaten in all classes of restaurants all over the country and have never had this happen. So my warning to all those travelling through is that eat there at your own financial risk. It's pretty apparent the owner probably banked on our just passing through and figured he wouldn't be losing future business. read more
