Really great view and nice service, but way too expensive. Nachos were over $30. But I guess that makes sense since it's at the top of a mountain. We opted to just get some drinks and have lunch back in town. Glad this place was here though, it was a welcome respite after a long and beautiful hike.

Such an awesome experience up at the top of this beautiful mountain! We came on one of the opening season days and the bartender greeted us with open arms and delicious cocktails. He told us about an event that was happening that night, arranged for us to get tickets, and made our whole night memorable. Service was great and food served at the event was delicious!

Crab nachos, basic store bought chips and salsa and onion rings fried in dirty oil.

The tram operated recommended the crab nachos, we didn't order, but received anyway. The old guy behind the bar taking orders and drinks, was rude and very short with everyone. Food was subpar. Onion rings were fried in dirty oil and chips and salsa were all store bought products nothing authentic about the food. I wouldn't waste money on this tourist trap.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This was perhaps one of the worst experiences and meals of my life. For a city dependent on cruise ships you think they would ensure appropriate staff are in place when ships are docking. Mind you I was not a cruise ship but paid $35 to come to the top but spend an hour waiting for my food because the kitchen was behind even though there were tables available. I order a halibut burger. It was so small I even just used one side of the sandwich bun. For food that was supposed to come out got it was cold. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the hiking which I was unable to do due to this poor service. Eat in town as well. Never give this restaurant your business.

Outside seating, nice if not rainy.

Took tram up to this restaurant, nature center and store. Well worth the $33 for the lift and you can come and go all day :) We ordered the crab nachos and the smaller one was way large enough for two. Very good with lots of cheese and crabWould definitely recommend this place with good food and excellent views.

Didn't order much but I have to say the chef/cook is at the table next to us talking to guests and our server and the entire staff here have wonderful personalities. Dorcey is a gem. Chowder 5 stars and oysters too. Cute and quaint.

View from the Tramway station just outside the restaurant. :-)

We came in just for a drink and the view. We had the fried bread which was good, but the beer was better. Great view. Nice service.

It gave you a taste of a couple of things, bisque, mini crab cakes and king crab leg. It was plenty of food and it was good. My wife had the pulled pork bowl and we did share snow crab queso. There is not table service and most likely you will be sharing a table with someone but the experience and food was awesome. Highly recommend this place in Juneau which is near the cruise ship dock.

My mom as soon as she knew I was taking her to Alaska would not stop talking about all the king crab is was going to eat. Unfortunately $400(with tip) we left a bit disappointed. All three crab tasted like when it was originally cooked, none were cooked in seasoned water. No salt no nothing. So the crab was quite bland to us both. The butter is a great quality so that helped a lot and I love dipping crab in cocktail sauce. Our two red king crab legs were soft shockingly. Not sure if they had melted before that or what but soft, bendable. Now the golden king crab, was shockingly sweeter and the shell was harder and spiky( be careful). I only wanted to try to snow crab because on a video I watched someone hyped them up. No flavor, hard hard shells. We unfortunately have better snow crab back home at the AYCE. Now everyone raves about the bisque. My mother and I were highly disappointed. Tasted like cheese soup with overcooked crab. The beer battered shrimp. Large good size shrimp. Batter way too thick and was not crispy but greasy. But I wanted to try them. I wish we orders less and then if we had enjoyed it ordered more. But we can say we've been and gave it a try. Two Red King Crab legs One Golden Crab leg One Snow crab combo One bisque One beer batter shrimp. 2 waters ( the water is so crisp and clean! So good). Glad we gave it a try, if not we would be wishing we had.

The halibut tacos tasted fresh, but the beans and rice on the side were a bit underwhelming and could use some improvement. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered 1 lb of king crab, the halibut fish tacos, and I paired my meal with an Alaskan Amber beer. Everything we came for was excellent. The king crab was fresh, sweet, and cooked perfectly. The halibut tacos were flavorful, with generous portions of fish, and the Alaskan Amber was the perfect local beer to go with the meal. The beans and rice that came with the tacos, however, were just okay. I didn't have high expectations for the sides, and they were pretty forgettable compared to the quality of the seafood. One thing that surprised us was how busy the restaurant was. It's a bit of a walk down the wharf, so I expected smaller crowds, but the place was packed. Despite arriving around 8:40 p.m., well past the peak dinner rush, we were seated without any issues. Even though they were still serving a full restaurant with other parties waiting, we never felt rushed, which we really appreciated. If you're in Juneau and craving fresh seafood, I'd definitely recommend making the walk. The king crab and halibut are absolutely worth it.

We also came from the infamous Tahku statue so it was the perfect reward! We opted to get the Crab Shack Combo which comes with a little bit of everything. You select what kind of crab leg you want which determines the price. We opted for the Golden King Crab because the description stated it was sweet. My brother opted for the Snow Crab combo. One unique thing about this place that I thought was cool was they not only ask for your name but where you're from. When your order is ready, they shout your name and where you're from. I love that they had a crab aprons that keep which I definitely made my whole family wear. We were honestly so hungry once the food came, we asked for a group photo and grinded! Therefore, I don't have pics of the food. Whoops! The combo came with: 1. Small crab bisque: sooo flavorful and thick. My mom & I loved this! 2. Mini Crab Cakes: bite sized crab cakes that were packed with flavor! These also had tons of crab flavor and a bit of a kick to it! 3. Golden Crab Leg: was huge! And just like described but sweet and not salty/ocean-y at all. It has tons of meat in it. They gave crackers to make it easier to crack open 4. Buttered Rolls: each combo comes with 2 buttered rolls. They were fluffy and covered in butter! It was perfectly with the crab bisque! Combos with the Golden Crab were $80 and the combo with the Dungeness Crab was $50. Overall, I highly recommend coming here when in Juneau!
