Being on the second floor we are able to have our own fire in our fireplace if we want and they supply Duraflame logs which make it super easy to set up there's a fridge and a microwave in each room, and a small TV, but there is so much to do and see that I really doubt you'll turn the TV on. The only need for our room 205 is a new mattress and box frame to support it. It sunk in the middle and we had to use the bench seat pillows to fix the dip on my side. Funny how we just read the previous review of the same room and same issues. However, all things aside it's not worth marking down the review significantly as we figured a work around. We finished every night with sitting by the fire for a couple hours, enjoying the warmth of the fire and the friends that we made while staying here. The 3 night special of booking and paying for 2 nights for 3 was an added bonus. There is so much to do and see here! It was located on the back road from the main street down the hill on what looked like a small farm. There was a beautiful pond just behind the B&B but it was partially frozen. The scenery was amazing to look at plus they had a small red barn just to the left of the entrance. When we entered we were greeted right away. We received a free bottle of wine and 2 glasses to take home with us with inscriptions of the bed-and-breakfast name on it. The rooms were very clean and well-kept although I do want to complain that the bed was not as comfortable as I thought it would be but it was rather stiff and bouncy. The pillows weren't comfortable either they were flat instead of fluffy like the kind I'm used to. When evening came we decided to get into the Jacuzzi but when I ran the water for some reason it looked brown. I took a clear glass and scooped some water out just to make sure and thought it was okay to get in the tub because the glass was clear. I later developed a rash on my neck and four arms and thighs from what I now know is called hot tub rash. I thought it might have been a necklace I began wearing but when the rash started showing up on other parts of my body that the necklace had never touched, I knew that this had to be it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but another downside to this place is that the walls and floors are extremely Hollow. I could hear the guest above me walking around and making noises that sounded like they were bowling. we had to ask them to settle down so that we could sleep. I could also hear people talking out in the common room as if they were right next door even though we were a good 30 or 40 feet from the entrance. Breakfast was very good in the morning so I have no complaints about the food it's sad to say though they had to waste a lot of it because people didn't eat. There's one kitchen that all the guest shared that included a refrigerator, stove and cabinet space. A lot of the people there were very friendly and allowed us to partake of their food and drinks while we were there. The BnB also supplied snacks and beverages for us to enjoy. I'm not sure about the other rooms but our room had a Jacuzzi and a fireplace and a king size bed. I didn't get much sleep because of the room being so bright do to the fact that they have those candle lights in the windows. The owner said that I could have unplugged them but I didn't want to bother with their decorations. I'm very upset that I have to give this place a low rating it was so beautiful upon first sight but after the fact it was just upsetting. I would probably only return here if I was able to sleep upstairs and be sure that my hot tub was cleaned properly.

The lodging has 4 pretty spacious rooms with bath/shower in the room and is very quite and very clean. My BF and I stayed here this past weekend and loved our stay. My BF did not have 4 wheel drive nor snow tires and got stuck trying to go up their driveway- so we called them and within 5 minutes Buz the owner came down and got our stuff drove it back up so I would stay warm and inside and drove back down with tons of supplies to help get his car to a safer area on the driveway. The two days we stayed with them they made sure if we needed rides they were right there to help. We stayed in the Spruce room which was cute and spacious- bathroom a bit on the small side. Breakfast was great. My BF and i would stay here again.

Tent sites are out away from the RV sites and rather spacious with nice flat ground to set up on. Bathrooms and showers were beautifully clean, firewood is free with a donation jar in the laundry room. Seasonals were up late playing music and carrying on but not too obnoxiously. Found by accident in Accident Maryland, if I found myself out this way again I wouldn't have any problem staying here again.

Since we have some in RVs and some who prefer tenting, this campground has the sites just close enough to easily get from one to the other without taking a real hike. The new owners (since Feb 2019) are passionate about making improvements that better our experience, and keep the grounds in great shape. The bathrooms were always clean, there were enough hooks and surfaces, and even the AC was good... something I have found lacking at other campgrounds. As a tenter, I'm happy with the size of the tent sites and the gently wooded area. I look forward to coming back!

It is very redneck but that's what's so fun about it, i myself am not redneck at all, but i must say it's entertaining watching everyone they're all very friendly and welcoming. We've made a lot of family friends at this camp site great people we never would have known if we never went. I highly recommend this place it has an amazing water park, the lakes are so much fun, (especially the big rock everyone jumps off of into big bear lake) it's great for late night drives when all the camp lights and decorations are lit, and most of all just a great place to make fun memories with your loved ones to look back on. Be careful not to confuse the Lakewood Resort in Maryland with a similar Lakewood Resort Club located an hour east near Morgantown, WV. The two resorts bear some similarities. Lakewood Resort at Deep Creek Lake is in western Maryland just 45 minutes east of Morgantown WV or 60 minutes southeast of Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Lakewood Resort is located just south of the Mason Dixon Line. Additional driving times are as follows: three hours northwest of Washington, D.C., five hours west of Philadelphia, and six hours east of Cincinnati. Lakewood Resort seems to be a comfortable motor trip from many eastern and Midwestern cities. The Interval International website provides eight accurate pictures of this townhouse timeshare. The indoor pool is located across S.R. 219 and requires a short drive. Families will not want children walking across a sometimes-busy highway. The exterior townhouse photo suggests a "pond" within walking distance of the Lakewood Resort at Deep Creek Lake. This "pond" is actually a very large lake that is named Deep Creek Lake. Deep Creek Lake has been a very popular resort for years. During the winter months, Deep Creek Lake may be frozen and covered with several feet of snow. Thus, the late John Denver got it right with "Take Me Home, Country Roads," a song referencing West Virginia. Western Maryland topography is very similar to the Allegheny Highlands. This is because Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia all are part of the Allegheny Highlands. The Allegheny Highlands are part of the Appalachian Mountains. The Allegheny Mountain microclimate in Maryland's western panhandle contrasts with the state's otherwise temperate conditions. If one arrives from an urban area such as Dayton, Richmond, Washington, D.C. or Baltimore, the Allegheny Highlands offer a superb mountain retreat without the potential elevation sickness that can befall those entering the Rockies.
