It featured three beds, a master bedroom with a private deck, a large main deck, a spiral staircase, a dining room table, mini fridge, hot plate, two futons, kitchen utensils, a small TV with DVD player and coffee making equipment. There are lots of places to lounge both inside and outside the tree. Outside the treehouse there is a fire pit which we used for s'mores and potatoes. There is a place to purchase firewood right on Ella's property. The property has a .75 mile trail through the woods with numerous animal discoveries along it. My son and I enjoyed trying to find them all and predict what would come next. The property also had many fairy gardens around it. There is also a fort building area giving families many options to do outside. Ella's is an awesome, upscale nature experience in the Deep Creek area. We will definitely return during our next visit to Deep Creek.

I love getting away and being surrounded by nature and this by far is the place to do just that. We stayed at the gathering tree... inside and outside the tree house exceeded our expectations. Found bed bugs on night 1! Thankfully we had not yet gotten on the bed or put any of our stuff on…read moreit, but this meant the room and bathroom were off limits ,although we needed it to accommodate our size group. Customer service was apologetic, but offered little solution for this huge (and disgusting) inconvenience. After many calls back and forth we did get an air mattress that we place in the dining room for the rest of the stay and offered a partial refund. The house also seemed like it had not been cleaned properly. The bedding and bathrooms had hair all over and some were stained. No paperwork has been received, so at this point, who knows if they will honor their word with the refund. Bed bugs aside, the house was in a quiet neighborhood and close to the lake.

Make the Alpine Retreat your Destination at Seven Springs…read more ....use the resort for skiing and save the $$$$. Location. You can walk to Seven Springs Mountain Resort from Alpine Retreat. Parking is easy in and easy out, I recommend in heavy winter and tough seasons to contact the host to make sure all roadways are safe if you don't have 4 wheel drive. Alpine Retreat. A home more comfortable than home. It is warm and cozy and inviting. The two fireplaces are fully stocked with wood, the fridge is stocked with all necessities and extra beverages and food (in case you lack preparation... such as I). Also everything is labeled so you don't have to search to find anything in the kitchen or throughout the house. There is firewood well stocked, with an outdoor firepit for cooking and relaxing. Underneath an outdoor deck that can host a large group, with a grill and bar, sits a six-person jacuzzi with bluetooth connection. There is ample land to enjoy lawn games and a good game of catch. Lastly, there is a basement cove with a bar that would make for a good night cap after the hot tub cover goes back on. Our Experience. Our host picked us up some craft Sam Adams beer and made us dinner. I don't want to promise that this exception is made for all the guests, but I have never been better received by a host in any hotel or inn I have ever stayed. We had a massage therapist come for a traveling massage from Body in Balance Healing Center. $100 for an hour (excluding gratuity) was so much cheaper and personalized than the overpriced spa at Seven Springs. I slept like a rock, but I did bike (not very well) quite a distance before my stay. The sheets were fresh and clean and everything was spotless in the house. We were encouraged to eat the food, use the washer/dryer and put our feet up... which we did so well. Overall. Buy the ticket, take the ride. You won't have a better host, I would lay money on that. The house is cozy and inviting and I will be heading back there at the next opportunity. Thanks again!

Three bedrooms have king beds, two bedrooms have a queen and a pull out twin sofa. The downstairs suite offers a full bathroom and a bedroom with a full size and a pull out twin sofa. There is also a separate living room area with a stone fireplace, table and chairs, wet bar and pull out full size sofa. The common areas are a living room and a kitchen as well as a powder room. Each bedroom has a deck or outside area as well as a common deck off of the living room. Four rooms with ceiling fans, all bedrooms with a TV. Internet, Direct TV, plenty of parking and a hot tub all for you enjoyment!
