My two sisters and I (and our significant others) came to celebrate a milestone birthday and were beyond impressed with this place. The ambiance is fantastic! The courtyard is beautiful as well as the patio in the back. The decorating that Kitty has done throughout the inside of the house is really beautiful. And as David says, "We want to concentrate on two things: The bed, and the breakfast." And that is exactly what they have done here. Each evening, David will come to offer your breakfast choices for the following morning. And it's not just bacon and eggs people... these are GOURMET offerings all made fresh on site using fresh ingredients. We had a choice of a peach cobbler oatmeal that had peaches from the tree in the backyard even and it was delicious! There was also one addition that just made my stay even more superb... a little dog named "Jack" and he is the most precious (smiling) doggie that I have ever seen! So stinkin' CUTE! They had great tips on what to do in the area. Don gives fly fishing lessons and is a patient teacher. We had a fantastic breakfast and lots of interesting conversation. I think Karen and Don know something about everything. It was great. I was sorry that we had to be on our way. The good news is this is a 4 seasons area. They even do a bonfire on the weekend nights with smores!! The location is set back in a secluded area away from the main resort and areas of deep creek, so it's a nice refuge but still close enough to everything. This is near skiing, and you could enjoy beautiful Somerset fall foliage. I'm told it is rarely humid in the area. It is also close close to the memorial for flight 93. We were in town with family for a funeral and this was a very comforting place to gather and spend time with family and friends. The owners and staff are considerate and kind. They took marvelous good care of us.
