For breakfast, there is actually a menu where you get to choose from quite a few choices which is very rare in a b&b. Everything was delicious. He also provides snacks and wine every day in the late afternoon and there are always sweet treats like cookies and brownies available as well as coffee and teas. There is a small gift shop where they sell some Lakepoint Inn shirts, sweatshirts and mugs as well as bottles of wine. There are so many wonderful seating areas, all with views of the lake whether you want to sit in rocking chairs or comfy wicker chairs on the porch or at some bistro tables on the back patio or Adirondack chairs by the fire pit. As a free service he also offers hour long rides on his pontoon boat every morning (weather permitting), you just need to sign up. There are also kayaks and canoes available to use for free, you just need to sign a waiver. Scott is a gracious host and the Inn is wonderfully appointed, you lack for nothing. The only complaint I would have is that if you stay in the Vagabond Room, be aware that because it is on the ground floor and right beside the kitchen, you will hear people talking and the hustle and bustle of breakfast being prepared. Not a problem if you're an early riser at about 5:30. But the room was huge! And felt very luxurious with bookshelves and a seating area and fireplace. We will definitely be returning to this Inn!!!!!! I can't say enough great things! Oh, also the location is fantastic, you're near everything!

From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that Mo has thought of absolutely everything. Our room was beautifully appointed, warm and comfortable, with an incredibly comfy bed and wonderful linens - which were VERY much appreciated after a full day of riding the GAP! Every little detail was there: a fan, a noise machine, charging cables, and all those thoughtful touches you don't realize you need until you need them. The entire house is absolutely beautiful. It's so tastefully decorated while still feeling warm, welcoming and homey. You can tell how much thought and care has gone into creating a place where guests can truly relax. And then there was breakfast! Absolutely amazing. Mo is such a warm and friendly host and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The GAP biking community and the town of Meyersdale are incredibly lucky to have the Inn on Main - and we feel just as lucky that we were able to get a reservation. The only issue I had was and, this is me. I can't sleep with a fan going loudly I have PTSD and it kinda keeps me hyper anxious. My wife on the other hand love sleeping with the fan so she would think it was great and I'm sure some people would. that's you know for some people. That way the only issue I had and it's definitely not their fault. I understand that's how they call the rooms down I get it. The charming inn and restaurant are framed by a beautiful garden that doesn't just stop at the front as a facade but carries on around the side and back. It is the real deal. Charming in so many ways. The inside was the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. The walls, floorboards, tables and chairs had all been wiped and cleaned. The property is family owned and they live on site. Communication for booking and up until your stay is great and check in is a breeze. Room 104 is my favorite and I have stayed there all but one time. The rooms are always clean, we'll furnished and stocked. The room with the ice machine between rooms 102 and 103 have a few extra towels and Toiletries available incase you need anything after hours. They only have 10 rooms and a parking spot assigned for each room with several extra guest spots. Right across the street there is a liquor store and a restaurant (currently vacant restaurant as of 2/2024). While visiting with the restaurant there, it was nice to have a spot for a quick bite. I highly recommend The Garrett Inn as they are consistent, well priced and just an overall wonderful experience.

I called and was told I supposedly made a reservation in Oct. 2023 for August of 2024. I told the woman on the phone I did not make a reservation and she said she had sent me emails regarding this. I checked my emails, spam and trash..nothing? I asked for the manager to call me. He did NOT...she said I could dispute on my credit card. I called back and the manager was SO RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! He said,"I'll cancel it" and hunv up on me?? The woman I spoke to did not have my correct email and I needed to know HOW this mistake was made?? Did they give my credit card # to someone via the incorrect email she said she sent reservation to?? He hung up on me when I told him I was very concerned ??? I called back and said zi was not done speaking with him. He ssid" I am done speaking to you" then proceeded to say " don't ever make a reservation here agsin"! And hung up?? We arrived and the building was very quirky (side entrance, lots of hallways to get in...) - but we were okay with a quirky local experience, that's how you find hidden gems! However, when we got to our room we entered the code to get in and there was someone laying in our bed! I felt so bad at first because I thought I went in someone else's room (since apparently every door has the same code)... but once I double checked it was our correct room. The man came out and apologized, he apparently works for the owner and he lets him stay there... which is great but now I know my room isn't clean and someone has been in my bed. I called the hotel number since no one is working a desk or anything and got no answer. We didn't hear back for a while and were no longer comfortable staying there so I had to book somewhere else nearby. I didn't hear anything from Morguen Toole until around 10pm! Thankfully I wasn't sitting there waiting for hours... I was told I could get a refund since we did not feel comfortable staying. HOWEVER, I never received it. For weeks I called and emailed and never got another response. I was very patient and tried to not be rude when I would request my money back even though I was very disappointed in our experience, but ultimately never was given a response or refund.
