Bottom line - will never recommend. Classic case of new to archery/taken advantage of. Was told that a Phase 4 flagship bow fits my 27.5" draw best at 31 inches... had to argue to get correct draw length. Was told paper tuning is not a common process/ not necessary until I'm much further down the road/experienced. Was told my bow was ready to go when cams weren't timed (1/2 inch off) Bought 350 spine arrows which were given to me with 550 inserts. I gave this place as many chances as I could. with multiple misquotes of timeframes, I exclusively started working with the owner which turned out to be a mistake. Ultimately this was a fast tracked learning experience and not the good kind. STEER CLEAR - take the extra 20 mins drive to a shop that is friendly and will take care of you such as Archery Headquarters or even as far as Ross Outdoors. (From QC) Pictured is 31" draw / cams not tuned brand new bow

Every year my husband and I engage in a new activity to celebrate our anniversary. Well for our 23 year we decided to learn archery. Lol, he already had experience so more or less for me to actually try it. Ladies this is so fun and actually relaxing. I highly recommend signing up for a class- by yourself, with a spouse or great bonding with teenagers. We are going further with our lessons. Can't wait to improve my form and hit the bullseye every time

You'll probably end up buying more than what you plan on, so be ready. This location boasts 2 floors, with everything from kayaks to baseball bats and shoes for every sport to clothing for the kiddos. They carry major brand names such as Yeti, Hydroflask, Nike, Puma, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to also find ratchet tie downs for pick up trucks in the kayak/SUP section. They had a great sale going on before the 4th. I was able to snag my life vest for just $20! I won't be using it too much, but you gotta be safe no matter what! I was browsing around and trying on different brands when an employee asked if I needed any help. I politely declined. I did drop a star due to the fact that when I checked out, there was only one register open. There were about 3 of us behind the person who was paying. Eventually, another register opened up so I was out and about in a few minutes. I would have also liked to see scanners throughout the store to check prices. There is an abundance of parking in the lot outside. Employees are friendly and they offer a military discount when you show your valid I.D. I would recommend coming in for all of your sporting good needs!

I would ALWAYS prefer to buy locally, but most of the time it makes no sense. Consider this:…read more ~~~~~ I went to Sportsmen's Warehouse in Mesa several years ago to buy an assortment of primers for testing reloads for my new 44 SPL revolver. I had to stand in line for FORTY FREAKING MINUTES while those guys at the counter jabberred and jabberred like best buddies having a beer about the merits of this weapon or that one. I have SERIOUS back issues and it was shear freaking misery for me to do this. I told the guy who finally waited on me, "Hey, man. I know you don't run this place, but my wait to buy these primers was just NOT ACCEPTABLE. Perhaps you ought to have two lines? One for lookie lous and one for people who actually want to BUY SOMETHING?" I made a point of being calm and nice, even though my back was afire. I told him politely that they would NEVER see my face again at that counter. I'd rather pay the UPS hazard fee than stand in line for 45 minutes. That's a NO BRAINER. The guys who run that place HAVE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS' EXPERIENCES. Not. Ever. That's why they s**k.

Pro Tip If you're looking for or have questions about the Byrna stop by the front desk and ask them for a Byrna associate who specializes in the products and training. Adj: Very fun sporting goods and more store!…read more We love coming to different Bass Pro Shops. They're all kind of different, and yet similar. They're all huge, just that some are even bigger than the average. This one in Mesa, AZ is one of the biggest, we were told by staff. We came while on a trip out to Phoenix area, and we were staying nearby. It was a warm, or rather sizzling hot September day. There's not really a fall in AZ is there? Winter would be fall to most in temps. Anyhow, coming into this store was perfect for getting out of the heat. We wandered immediately over to the huge aquarium. A very attractive feature that my kids just love to gravitate towards no matter how old they are. After looking at the fishes for awhile, we wandered up to the 2nd floor and looked at all the camping gears, not so much b/c we're the camping type, but b/c the products are fun to check out and we discovered some innovations in camping chairs, they have come a LONG way, so comfortable that some of them feel like couches now, or like a reclining chair, almost like a la-z-boy in your family room. After checking out the camping section, we looked at the "stuffed" animals, aka taxidermy wildlife. They are always menacing and "scary" to me. What can I say, I get squeamish around wild animals alive or dead, but of course better if they're already taken care of so I don't have to run for my life. In any case, we also checked out their archery dept which is so cool b/c you can shoot arrow and test out their bows here at their indoor range (smaller, but sufficient) before buying and get practice in with your own bow, iirc. Finally, we just walked around all over, including much of the 1st floor to check out their water sports and apparel depts, all filled with goodies and fun stuff galore. If only money is no object huh? lol. Customer service was friendly and let us browse and explore as we liked, but were there for any questions or directions.

Huge BPS store! This one is in Mesa. We were staying pretty close by, could've technically walked…read moreover had it not been so hot. Spent a couple of hours one afternoon. We love visiting BPS's, it's like going into the wilderness without the prep and mosquito bites. We're only semi-outdoors people of the paved or at least graveled/dirt-road variety, and not too much rugged terrain please for my getting-old bones. Pros: - It's for pros, hence the name, lots of specialty brands. - I feel like I'm a pro when I come here, only need to trick me. - My kids get such a kick out of this place, it's got all the cool gadgets to make camping and other outdoors adventures high-tech and fun - So many taxidermy animals, my wife hates seeing them and get squeamish, but the kids and I find them fun to look at. I personally think they're cool. Too bad I can't bring one home. - Some things on sale are pretty reasonably priced. - Huge place to walk around in, get your exercise done indoors in perfectly temp-controlled environment. - Clean bathrooms and the whole place is kept up nicely. Cons: - Some items are definitely full-retail prices - mostly hiking shoes, water sandals, didn't see much if any discounts for those. - Other items seem even higher than retail at other stores - grills, camping equipment, some knives (although I don't know prices for those as much). All in all, a great place to visit, stick to sale stuff and you can find some decent to good deal for your next outdoors adventure. Service from staff is good if you need help, just ask, otherwise, it's more a hands-off, self-serve, wander-as-you-like type of place which I prefer anyway.
