My wife and I were looking and looking all fall for places that might be good for us to hit once tree season came along. We love cutting down our own tree and all the rituals that come with the season. We also love places that are family friendly, peaceful, and simple. With Snow Valley, we found it all. Friendly and accommodating staff, literally thousands of trees to choose from, and not all of the hoopla that some area places have with carnival-like games and rides. They have a small barn space that has pre-made wreaths and garland, a walk up cafe with coffee, cocoa, and donuts, and acres upon acres of trees! Walking through the fields, saw in hand, looking for the perfect tree.....ah, one of the best feelings of the holiday season! Tree was found, coffee and donuts were eaten, a quiet sit was had on a downed tree to take in the environment. It was a perfect afternoon at the perfect place! Thanks Snow Valley!

This rustic farm is open for u-cut Christmas trees after Thanksgiving. Bonus: they have an on-site…read moredrink stand offering a wide variety of hot chocolates and lattes. They also have goats and donkeys for viewing. The prices are pretty steep. We paid $168 for our 7 foot tree. We cut it ourselves and a guy came over pronto to cart it away and bailed it for us. When we got home, I was surprised to find that it had not been shaken (although I had noticed they had a shaker) and there were lots of loose, dead needles, and a patch of mud that was really hard clean off of the lower branches. They also have a gift shop with pre-decorated wreathes and homey Christmas decorations.

The clothing is stylish and well-made, and the fabrics are geared towards natural fibers and easy care (i.e. not dry clean only). Some items are pricier, but not as pricy as you'd think considering the quality. I recently found a couple of blouses here that were marked half off, and the owner helped me find some jewelry to match. The owner is friendly and helpful, but gives you space to browse and take your time. I was able to find some great last minute gifts for Mother's Day and graduation from here. Also purchased some lemon/verbena scented linen spray, which I'm in love with - and a little goes a long way, so the price is well worth it. It's a great little addition to the Town Center! Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

I have gotten a Christmas tree here every year for as long as I can remember. The owners are a…read morelocal family and are really nice. They have pre-cut trees here, but the big draw for a lot of people is the u cut lot. It used to be that u cut trees were quite a bit cheaper than precut trees, but now I think the prices are pretty much the same across the board wherever you go. Even though it's no longer a big money saver, I think a lot of people do u cut for the experience as it's fun and not something you can do in all climates/parts of the country. Plus, you get a guaranteed fresh tree. The farm added a reservation system a couple years back for ucuts (it's basically just an evite-type RSVP link on their website--free to sign up) that opens in the middle of November. This has really helped with crowd management as the area's population has grown so much over the years. The whole operation is down to an exact science: traffic controlled parking lot, scan your QR code to get a saw, find your tree, take the tractor flatbed back if you don't want to carry the tree all the way, trim/shake/bail (nominal fee for bailing), an employee will help you carry it to your vehicle if you want, and then pay in the shed. They hire an incredible number of seasonal employees for the couple weeks of tree season to keep things running smoothly. I didn't think of this til a couple years ago, but noticed a lot of people tip the person who helps carry your tree - they're mostly high schoolers so $5 is probably a bigger deal to them than it is to you. The checkout area carries some additional merchandise: tree stands, wreaths, some ornaments, etc. They also have free apple cider and candy canes for the kids (and adults) The farm also has a pumpkin patch and maybe some other activities in the fall. Anyways, this year was probably my last year getting a tree here for a while. My family has aged to a point that a tree no longer really makes sense, and I live somewhere that I have no space for a tree. I'm sad that I won't get to continue this annual tradition in the near future, but hopefully one day I'll be able to make it back

At 2pm there were so few trees available, we walked around in circles, in disbelief. We then considered a precut tree, but they were all huge! Well over 8 feet tall, so they wouldn't fit in our house. There was nothing festive or charming about the place -- just a parking nightmare and we left empty handed. Don't waste your time coming here. So sad.

I actually learned about The Remontant through a Yelp event! I got a Honey Boba candle tea light…read morecandle then and absolutely adored the scent. It smells exactly like the best honey boba drink ever. Of course, when it came time to buy a birthday gift for a friend, I thought about The Remonant and specifically made a trip down to get a Honey Boba candle for her since she loves boba and sweet scents. The full size candles are packaged in such a luxurious way with a black ribbon and a cool matte heavyweight cardboard. It feels so mature, even though this is a more fun scent. I could just pop this in a gift bag and be done since the packing is so nice. On the drive back, the aroma of the candle filled my car and I regretted not getting a candle for myself lol. It was a nice day today and so parking was kind of hard to find. There's a small parking area in front that was absolutely full. I had to park in a 15 min take out spot for the restaurant next door so I didn't get to chat with the owner unfortunately as I was worried about getting ticketed/towed, but it sounds like they are expanding their selection of scents. I wonder if they could get a dedicated parking spot for the shop? It might not be possible though, but would be helpful for shoppers. I want to check out their candle-making classes in the future!

I was immediately drawn in by the beautiful candles and accessories. They had these really cute claw clips with animals, custom luxury combs and brushes, local organic skincare products, and amazing candles and fragrances. Their candle scents are things I have rarely seen before- so creative! I wanted a rose candle and there were 3-4 totally different options. I ended up getting kind of a musky rose one and it smells like nothing I have ever smelled. The staff member who helped me was so cool ! They are black-owned, women-owned, and just have an amazing vibe. Would definitely come back to get gifts for friends or to even do a custom candle making class!

What a cute place to stop by and view some sunflowers and have a mini photo-op to boot! At the entrance there is a small shop with snacks here and there but the main attraction is the scenery! During pumpkin patch season there is a cute little set up next to the shop to take some photos. The sunflower field is glorious and looks even better around sunset! Keep in mind that if if hasn't rained recently, a cubic butt ton of dust gets kicked up off the gravel road when cars turn in and drive down. It's also a bummer because it makes photos a bit foggy so snap those shots quick! If you're parked at the entrance to take some photos, expect some brown boogies later on in the day, haha!

We considered getting a mason jar to fill for around $10 but decided not to. There are endless turns you can take and several props set up throughout the field for photos. I recommend going in with no destination in mind and just taking it all in because it is amazing! There are also some benches / picnic tables you can use for lunch as well.
