Candles scents for classes
Epi L.

This is an adorable store with great smelling fragrances and candles along with other lovely items like airbrushed, clips, journals, stickers, and lip balm. It's reasonably priced and the proprietor was delightful to talk to. We will definitely be coming back for making our own candles!! We got a candle for a friend who recently lost her dad and she really loved the scent. The smells are nice without being too cloying or overpowering. Will definitely be back soon!! It did take a bit to find it because Google maps had it upstairs but it's downstairs, facing the lake.

The scented candles were so cute! They even had a boba scent. My favorite scents were Anjou pear and melon rose. They also have a ton of other candles were are perfect for a gift or something that you wanted to add as a small addition to a gift for someone. Candle making class is also an option at the store.

They had samples of tea and coffee to try before committing to an entire bag which is pretty considerate. One of the workers was very helpful in explaining their coffee selection and how it was roasted. Yes, some items still have a mark up, but you're paying for the convenience of all the stuff being in one place. They can't exactly draw you in with a loss leader. I bought some Fran's Gray and Smoked Salt Caramels and I've been slowly enjoying them since!

MADE IN WASHINGTON @ BELLEVUE…read more Made in Washington is located inside Bellevue Square, and mall parking is free in any of the garages. I'd recommend parking under Macy's or H&M. There's usually plenty of parking, but on weekends it can get very busy, so you may have to circle a bit. This was my first time visiting Made in Washington, and it's a great stop if it's your first time in Seattle and you want to check out locally made products. As soon as you walk in, there's a lot of chocolate, along with kitchen décor, lotions, and soaps. Some items are on the pricier side, but there are also more affordable options. My mom and I found a lotion for about $14 that smelled amazing. They also offer plenty of samples, which I really liked. Overall, the value is pretty decent, you'll find some things you love and some you may pass on. The only downside was the customer service. No one greeted or acknowledged us, and it felt like most of the staff stayed behind the register. Despite that, I still had a great experience and would recommend stopping by if you're looking for gifts or products that are made in Washington.

The farm also throws a pumpkin festival with corn maze during pumpkin season (Sept through All Saints Day). My daughter and her husband hosted my wife, her mom, and me over the long Fourth of July weekend, and we all went to the lavender farm on a Saturday afternoon. Parking is free on sides of a private gravel road, with a clearly marked entrance. Admission is $9 per adult, being purchasable at the gate, using a credit card. Leashed dogs are welcomed, and there is a grassy area in center where one can find shaded places to sit or play games under a tent, or play cornhole nearby. There is also a nearby field with wildflowers in various times of bloom. It was a clear day, allowing us to see impressive Mt Rainier in the background. There is a small gift shop on the premises, where a nice lady explained much about the farm. We ended up buying both lavender infused essential oils and roll-ons. External info: There seems to be five different types of lavender: English (aka Common or True), French (aka Fringed), Portuguese (aka Spike), Spanish (aka Butterfly), and Lavandin (hybrid of English and Portuguese). Within each type, there are cultivars (specific variation bred for specific traits like color and scent). We saw areas of both the Royal Velvet and Melissa, both cultivars of English lavender. We also saw Grosso, a specific cultivar of Lavandin lavender, which is the most popular for commercial use, reading its the most common lavender at the farm.
