We had both of our bathrooms remodeled by Sean, and we couldn't be happier with the results…read more Sean was very responsive and kept great communication throughout the project. He really listened to what I wanted and gave helpful design input that made the end results even better. You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows in how much he cares about the details. His team was also wonderful -- everyone who came into our home was friendly, respectful, and treated our space with care. That made a huge difference and kept things running smoothly. On top of that, Sean is easy to talk to and got along great with both me and my husband. Now we have two bathrooms we absolutely love, and we're so glad we chose Sean and his team. Highly recommend!

He offered helpful suggestions while being fully supportive of my final decisions. You can tell he and his team genuinely enjoy what they do and take pride in their work. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again or recommend him to others.

The project involved a lot of layout decisions, uneven floor conditions, outlet coordination, panel proportions, cap details, and making sure everything would work both visually and practically in a commercial space. Paul was thoughtful throughout the process and clearly knows finish carpentry. What I appreciated most was that he did not just rush through it. He took the time to think through the details, explain options, and flag things that could affect the final result before cutting into the material. He was especially careful with the panel layout, wood movement, grain direction, and how the base and trim should be handled so the finished product would both look right and hold up well over time. The wainscoting came out really elegant and clean, and the craftsmanship is obvious in person. It gave the space warmth and character immediately. The bar work also came out great and tied in nicely with the rest of the room. Paul cares about the end result and it shows. If you are looking for someone for detailed trim or custom millwork and want somebody who actually thinks through the job instead of just nailing things up, I would absolutely recommend him.

Tony Triarsi is an artist. Many call him a true mastermind. I think he's got a tiny bit of crazy in…read morehim (that makes him so good at what he does). This is my 2nd time calling him for a job. He had given us a quote once for refinishing cabinets. We ended up leaving the cabinets the way they were, but noticed something was different about Tony. What really caught my attention was the way Tony walks you through his whole process. He'll shed 50+ years of knowledge based on what he would do and how he would tackle the project. He's sort of like a scientist when it comes down to the prepping and painting process. That resonates well with me because I believe every craftsman should be able to chronologically walk you through the process before executing. I had him come back to give an estimate for the interior painting of the house. We had a dated 1940s home that had strange colored walls, a masonry that needed to be skimmed / covered, and lots of patching due to other renovations that came before him. He's just about done with the home and it looks amazing. We took his recommendation to go with smooth walls and he did the absolute best he could. It's a work of art. It's hard to believe someone really revived our home. His prices are fair, but you are paying for high quality craftsmanship.

R&R made two rails for my dad's home. I should say, they made one rail. Which my dad loved so much…read morethat he decided he really wanted two--one on each side of the two steps leading to the 'rumpus room'. He loves them. LOVES. THEM. The rails, that is. He's also a fan of R&R. It was supereasy and completely pleasant to work with the team from R&R. They have plenty of photos online to help navigate the discussion of options and designs, and they're knowledgable and friendly about helping you figure out what needs to happen and how to do it. When it became clear my dad wanted a second rail built and installed, I called R&R to request it. They were able and willing to make it happen fast, to work on getting materials as soon as they could and to make space in their schedule to get it installed for him. The second one required removing an older custom 'grab bar,' which Kevin patiently worked at until he figured out how to manage it. Which took almost as long as the whole installation. But he did it cheerfully, and you can't tell it was ever there. Their work is not cheap. But that's because it's not cheap. It's beautiful, handmade, custom-designed work that will hold up for the life of the house. So, yeah, it's expensive for all the best reasons. This team knows what they're doing. I'm absolutely glad I called them and I would--I did!--call them again. If you need railing, you should call them, too.

Extremely unhappy with the service here. We purchase Italian tile from this store several years…read moreago for a deck project. We then recently decided to use the same tile for an adjoining room. My wife brought in an extra 24x24 piece of the tile from the deck project and asked if we could order more. My wife told Roberto that we had purchased the tile several years ago and asked if he could identify it. After examining the tile, Roberto told my wife the tile was Tailormade Grigio, and that it was discontinued. He then (in front of my wife) called the vendor and determined that they still had some leftover stock on hand. We then had our contractor order the tile through Roberto. Our contractor was supposed to pick up the tile at Granite Center a couple weeks later, but every time he called, the tile was not in yet. Eventually, and as the delays were stalling our project, our contractor agreed to pay a $150 delivery fee to have Roberto's people fetch the tile from Roberto's vendor in Compton. The delivery was five hours late, and when it arrived, it was the wrong tile!! Wrong thickness and wrong color. I immediately called Roberto and he lamely said it was just a normal variation between lots. After I sent Roberto a picture, he admitted that we had received the wrong tile for our project. He told me that we should have ordered Tailormade Negro. However, Instead of apologizing for his error (mistakenly misidentifying the tile my wife had originally brought in), Roberto blamed my wife. He said that my wife had come in with a "sample board" for the Grigio and asked if he had more. When I told Roberto that we had no sample board, just a piece of unmarked tile, he said that she must have brought in "a picture of the sample board." (She did not.) Roberto told us that he would charge us a 25% restocking fee to correct the error and that we would have to pay another $150 delivery fee to have him deliver the correct tile. I eventually loaded the 400lbs of Grigio tile into my car trunk and (looking like a low rider) drove it to Compton, where Roberto's vendor very courteously made the exchange for the Negro with no "restocking fee" or any other charges. After making the exchange, I asked Roberto to refund the $150 delivery fee that he charged us for delivering the wrong tile- as I ended up doing the delivery. He refused, and instead once again blamed his error on my wife. Really a shameful way to run a business. Mistakes can happen, but when they do, you own up, apologize, and you make it right. You don't try to make additional money from the mistake, and you don't make up a story to blame your customer.
