The other night, I had to drive from my workplace in Mississauga to a Yelp elite event in Newmarket. I left just before 5:30 pm, thinking that it would be enough time to get there. The good news was that my estimate was pretty accurate. The bad news was that I didn't have anything to eat.
After getting off highway 404 and driving along Mulock with the sun in my eyes, I managed to see this Tim Hortons and pulled into the drive-thru.
For the record, I am not a huge donut fan. The reason is that I used to do rotating shift work. My team back then would bring in donuts. I have had more than my fair share of them. However, I never got into Timbits back then, so I am good downing them these days.
I went through the drive-thru to place my order. The woman on the speaker had a friendly tone to her voice. I could also hear her clearly, which was a breath of fresh air! I ordered a ten-pack of Timbits. I tend to go assorted, as I like the element of flavour surprise. I then pulled up to the window where I paid and got my Timbits from an equally friendly gentleman.
I ate the Timbits as if they were popcorn. I just threw them in my mouth, chewed, and washed them down with Diet Pepsi that I had been sipping during my drive. They hit the spot, as I needed something to ease my hunger pangs until I got to the event. They were fresh and tasty.
This Timmy's location may be my favourite one in Newmarket. There is plenty of parking, service was fast, and the staff are incredibly friendly.
I recommend pulling onto College Manor Drive when you leave Tim Hortons. It's easier to turn onto Mulock Drive, as traffic gets pretty busy on it.
