Tip: There are two Timmy's, with one each in buildings A and B, respectively.
Markham Stouffville Hospital has two Tim Hortons stores:
- By the main entrance of building A, on the second floor, on the right when you walk into the hospital.
- In emergency, on the first floor of building B
I can't tell which Timmy's this listing is for. I'll do both as someone who has passed by both since late July. My mom broke her arm back then, so I'm familiar with both buildings. Each building has a Timmy's.
The one by the main entrance of the hospital, which is building A, is always busy. I see at least ten people lined up for coffee or a bite to eat whenever I pass by it. My mom has had appointments at 7 am, 10:30 am (twice, including surgery), and 11:30 am. There is always a lineup.
Sometimes, the lineup goes out of the store and reaches the parking kiosk that I use to pay for parking before leaving the hospital. It's that popular.
I'd say that if you are coming into the hospital for an appointment and that section allows food or drink, it's probably better to fetch your Timmy's order at an off-hospital Timmy's. There's one on Highway 7, on the southwest side of Ninth Line. It's got a drive-thru. Lines are shorter.
If you are spending a lot of time at the hospital and need a coffee break, Timmy's is an option. Be prepared to wait. Alternatively, you can hit the food court or get something at Druxy's Deli.
There isn't a whole lot to do if you are in emergency, which is building B. There is a Timmy's there that is busy, but isn't as crazy. I'm still getting used to a building just for emergencies, as it's still new to me.
Both Timmy's are open 24 hours a day. They are there if you need them while at the hospital. I wouldn't drop by either to get your Timmy's fix if you are driving. You'll need to pay for parking to stop by.
