Heading home, I would stop by and get a drink or something to snack on. Last Sunday, I was heading up to Vaughan. I passed by this Timmy's. I realized that I had never been there. I needed to use the washroom and grab a drink, so I dropped by. The Wendy's was closed. I hope that it's not for good. I walked over to the washroom between both stores. The women's washroom was nicely maintained. I then hit Timmy's. I saw Jennifer P.'s apple pie dream donut the night before. It looked so good that I needed one. I also was thirsty and got a medium peach quencher. The woman helping me with my order was great. She scanned my rewards barcode off my app. I paid with my debit card. Easy breezy! My dream donut came first in a box. My drink came next. I thanked the woman and headed to my car. I pretty much inhaled my apple pie dream donut in my car. The topping is sweeter than I normally like, but it was delicious. I wish that there was more apple pie filling, though. It felt like the filling was being rationed for some reason. The filling was delicious. I'll need to try another location to figure out whether it's the same across the GTA or if this place was low on apple pie filling. I loved my peach quencher. It hit the spot. I don't want summer to end and hope that this cheerful drink stays on the menu just a bit longer. This location is one of the better Timmy's that I have visited recently. Where there are cookies, there's me. I ran a couple of errands and headed back to this place to check out its cookie lineup. This store is where Hillcroft Medical Centre used to be. When my parents and I moved from the Beaches to Markham, my family doctor was at this medical centre. It was a trip seeing it converted to a cookie store. It's in a plaza that has a fishing store anchoring it, which used to be an RBC bank. I backed into an available parking spot and headed over there. I forgot that this place still has a weird, shallow step that you need to pay attention to. I never liked it. If you use a walker or wheelchair, you'd dislike this design. It's probably the only detail that I dislike about the store. The washroom is the first thing that you see when you walk in. It's definitely residual from the medical centre. The cookie display makes you forget about the weird design. I've been here twice now. I was greeted by the nicest woman the first time. I looked at all the cookie varieties displayed in front of me. The toughest part was deciding what to get. I went with a box of six cookies. I knew that getting two or four wouldn't cut it. I got two of each of these flavours: - Coconut and dulce de leche - Black forest - Lemon meringue The woman put everything in a cube box and slapped on a sticker. My cookies came up to just over $25. Yes, you are paying over $4 for a gourmet cookie. After consuming a number of them, the price is right. I paid with a credit card both times. I tapped and was good. Out of these three flavours, you'd think that I'd go with the lemon meringue first because I love lemony meringue goodies. Nope! I went with the coconut and dulce de leche cookie. It was amazing! The coconut tasted fresh. The dulce de leche was the filling. It wasn't too sweet, but it was rich in flavour. It was such a good cookie. I had the black forest next. I loved the little bits of cherry that you got in every bite. They were fresh cherries in a nice chocolate cookie. There were crunchy chocolatey bits on top. This cookie was yummy and moist. The lemon meringue was worth the wait. The lemon was tart and bright. There were bits of crunchy meringue that was heavenly. It's the perfect cookie. I averaged consuming two yummy, large cookies a day. I gave my remaining lemon meringue and black forest cookies to a friend that I ended up seeing on Monday. Sharing is caring! On Tuesday, I returned to this place to order more cookies to take into work. I got a different woman who was busy in the baking area. She let me know that she'd be back soon. I wasn't in any rush. She came back to me and apologized. It was all good. I got another six cookies (two of each flavour again): - Black forest - Sticky toffee pudding - Strawberry shortcake I brought this box of cookies home. I noticed that one of the strawberry shortcake cookies had broken in half. It meant that I had to eat it immediately. It was the delicious strawberry and vanilla filling that likely made this cookie break because it was packed full of it. The filling was generous. This cookie wasn't sweet, but it was excellent. I brought my remaining five cookies into work the next day to share with my friend. We have similar tastes. The other strawberry shortcake cookie crumbled. We devoured it first. He absolutely loved it. Before I left for the day, after our team meeting, we eat half of the two remaining flavours and split the rest. He loved the black forest, too. These cookies had even more cherry bits inside. The sticky toffee pudding was outstanding. The toffee part was so rich without adding a ton of sugar to it. It tasted like the actual dessert, but in a delicious cookie. There are so many flavours that I'll likely go back for more soon. I thought that my favourite cookie place was Felix and Norton. I knew that I needed to drop by someday when it wasn't crazy busy. This Timmy's is in a tiny plaza with a haircutting place. I had placed an order through the mobile app and lined up at the drive-thru. In front of me was an SUV from California. The folks in this vehicle took longer to order. I wasn't in any rush. When it was my turn, I said my order number and name. My medium iced coffee almond was ready. I was happy and thanked the cheerful woman. I already had a happier perception of staff here. The one in Scarborough did not have this drink, despite my ordering it through the app, which got accepted. I dealt with a woman who sounded and looked miserable. It was the opposite outlook here. Wow! I cannot believe nobody has reviewed this place... It seems to be pretty busy day and night…read more I'm not sure who this Tim Horton fellow is, but he makes a heck of good donut. Tons of varieties - all freshly baked from frozen blocks delivered weekly. They sell lots of other foods that used to be frozen and also Marble Slab Creamery ice cream which is intentionally frozen. The coffee pots all have numbers written on them, most likely inspirational verses from the bible. Since people seem to really like it, the owners should consider possibly franchising. Who knows? They might become the next Coffee Time...
