Today, we came in after the big breakfast rush, so there was plenty of comfortable seating throughout the restaurant. They have a specials menu that changes with the month. Everything on the menu is innovative, and an upgrade from whatever ordinary breakfast you're used to. Our waitress served up fresh hot mugs of coffee for us, and explained that their loyalty program was moving to a Phone app. Unfortunately, we would not be able to use our Wallet card which had three punches on it already. Today I ordered a Cali chicken club wrap, which was a very delicious mix, chopped chicken breast, romaine, wedges of avocado, and bacon with a nice ranch dressing, all in a soft tortilla wrap. For my side, I chose coleslaw. My food is so delicious, no complaints here. My handsome dining companion got the Pork Belly Hash with sweet potato tots, and two eggs OE and toast. I did sneak my fork across the table to grab a chunk of pork belly which made my eyes roll back into my head. My next bite was one of the deep fried sweet potato tots. Very delicious, but I can't make a habit out of anything deep fried anymore. All of this deliciousness came our way for under 40 bucks. Thankfully, we had a nice Christmas gift certificate from one of the grandkids. We do highly recommend any of the Poked Yolk locations.

After we ate I went to the window to tell the cook how amazing the food was and he gave us a small sample of a crab salad, which was also delicious! I stopped at AJ's for a quick and inexpensive bite after the gym. I saw they had a pizza burger on special for just $6.99 and that piqued my interest. I debated not getting a roll suspecting it would be one of the super cheap burger buns, but I just ordered it as is; I was very glad I did. It was made fresh to order in about 8 minutes. When it came out, it was presented open faced on a nicely toasted junior kaiser roll with a good amount of tasty pizza sauce, a load of gooey provolone, and cup & char pepperoni atop the burger, which was a decent size. Everything worked well together and it was like a tasty, meaty, easily handheld piece of pizza. The service was friendly. I believe there was indoor seating, but I ordered at the window and sat at a picnic table outside. I would visit again.

This is a busy spot for classic American favorites: burgers, sandwiches and wings. From my previous experience, I knew it's worth checking the menu beforehand. For someone who is trying to make healthier choices, but not salad, this might be a good idea. I remember the last time I had the Classic Grilled Cheese Melt. This time, to avoid beef, bacon, or fried chicken, I decided to substitute a burger with grilled chicken breast for an additional $1. The Frenchie was my choice. I asked for the included Bison dip on the side and added Grilled Cremini Mushrooms for another $1. I simply couldn't find any ready-made combinations that suited my taste. All the burgers, melts and sandwiches come with your choice of fries or tater tots. We waited longer than expected for our food. The restaurant started filling up after we arrived. There were a lot of takeout orders while the dinner rush was starting. They should have a parallel system in the kitchen to keep the dining room moving at its own pace. Anyway, my sandwich was good. The chicken was perfectly grilled. The mushrooms and onions were flavorful, and the provolone cheese was melted and delicious. It's good that I asked to have the Bison dip on the side. We enjoyed the mountain of fries and onion rings (we really liked the breading on the onion rings). The Mac and Cheese was basic, but classic and very tasty. Unfortunately, our feedback on the Steak Hoagie was not so good. It wasn't as expected - a juicy, Buffalo-style, meat and cheese sub. My partner said that too much spice rub made the sandwich salty and dry. It wasn't the experience of dripping, shaved steak covered with lots of melted cheese, grilled peppers and onions. There was none of it. It was dry, smallish and disappointing. Our server Kimora took good care of us. She was smiling, and made our stay very pleasant.

BUT, this smash burger is much bigger than Buffalo bros. 4oz patties, didn't taste any onions with it, don't know if they make them traditionally. Best way I can describe the meal is it tastes like a well cooked smash burger you'd make at home, on a soft bun similar to Burger Kings, with fries similar to McDonald's. They do give you enough fries similar to five guys which is nice! This would be a sit down fast-food type of meal but think fresh.
