Great local Irish pub right on Federal Highway. Lots of food and drink options. I got my food to go. Found the service fast and friendly. Would definitely come here again for the atmosphere or live music. Lots of loyal patrons.

I've driven past this place on the east side of Federal in south Delray so many times, but today I intentionally drove out there for lunch. BTW if you are looking for live music, it starts at eight o'clock. We started with Sausage Rolls. Finnegans uses puff pastry wrapped around actual bangers in their's, and served with a bowl of a dark onion gravy to dip it in. They were quite flavorful and good. My wife had the Beet and Goatcheese salad with blacked chicken added. She really liked the salad, but loved the fried pad of goat cheese that topped it. It was a pleasant textural surprise. I chose the Guinness Beef and Lamb Stew, topped with puff pastry and mashed potatoes. It was appealing to eye, using a rosemary spring as a tree on Mount Mashed Potatoes, as it was on the tastebuds. For dessert we tried the bread pudding. It was pretty good, just a tad dry. We both liked it. I would definitely come back, for lunch or dinner.

Chicken tenders were not great.

Food was just ok. Service was a bit better. The ambience was fun. Motown music. Chicken tenders were not great. Tasted like frozen.

Food is outstanding! We have loved all of the following, Sausage rolls and homemade gravy is outstanding, Bavarian pretzel, irish potato soup, shepherds pie, beef and lamb Guinness stew, chicken curry, fish and chips and homemade Baileys cheesecake our server JR is AWESOME! He is super friendly and goes above and beyond for you your whole visit! Ambiance is great and seating very comfortable. Also the entertainers Brian and Brian were fantastic!!!

I cannot say enough about Tim Finnegans ! This establishment has amazing service. From the time we entered in we were greeted and asked where we would like to sit and what type of table preference we had, who asks that? Considerate hostess staff that's who ask that .... also they recognized we weren't a regular patron and asked if we were one of the attendants to the reserved party; quick thinking but no thank you. We sat at the bar our preferred seating and ordered cocktails and appetizers both were amazing. I was so impressed by the appetizer I was excited for the dinner entre. We ordered the fish/chips a classic for an Irish pub and meatloaf the second classic. I don't have words for the amazing texture and gravy of the meatloaf it was far beyond 5 star, The fish and chips we were told had famous chef's asking for the recipe and after tasting it we had no doubt the story was true. The atmosphere is friendly, the regulars strike up conversation easily and when the live music starts you are in for a treat. The owners Lisa and Noel have created a real treat for each patron and we will be back. We live 45 miles away and that will not stop us from making this a regular hang out

We came here on a Sunday afternoon. Vibe kinda seemed like an "older" person Irish pub. It wasn't busy and the bartender seemed to also be the waitress. She was very nice and quick considering she was managing the bar and tables. So impressed with her customer service. We ordered the fish sandwich and fish and chips platter with a side of curry! Food was delicious. There was an older group in the back maybe practicing for a irish kinda band? I would let them get on stage and practice instead of playing music on the speakers and them playing in the way back. They were all so cute! I will definitely have to come back at a different time to check this place out. We are in our early 40's and were definitely the youngest in there by about 20 years lol.

The perfect pint.

A gem. If you love a great Irish pub, this is your place. The servers are friendly and great ... same for the crowd in general. Live music and trivia from time to time, Guinness of course and a good menu (chicken curry is the bomb!). Oh and there is ample parking as well

Came here to have a few drinks and got an Irish coffee, which was OK they didn't make it very good as some of us didn't finish the drink, but the Guinness was good and the surrounding food from the other tables that look good, so I am looking forward to coming back and try out their food.

Typical Irish pub! I love it with in 3 mins of sitting at the bar the bartender yelled at the phone for ringing!! LOL no you can't bring in your own food to eat here!! I about lost it and fell off my chair. That's when I realized we made a great call. Food was good had the fish and chips it was really good and fresh. Several Guinness for dessert. Then it was trivia night and $5 martinis. What could go wrong? This place was packed for trivia night and I think I could here the martini shaker in my sleep for 4 days. Good food, good drinks, and great times like I said typical Irish pub. Enjoy!!!

But I didn't get it with the Guinness gravy because of my allergies and honestly it didn't need it. The beef was that good! I also got the British beans really good it's cooked in the tomato sauce.. wash it down with a nice creamy Guinness. My husband got the Sherry chicken pot pie he said it was amazing and he would get it again. Plus he got the chips which are frys. Also got the prezal with there unique mustard that has horseradish in it. The service is great bartender /server was so attentive so on the ball she got us everything we needed and help me find something that was dairy free. Had a great soccer game on and lots of nice people to talk to in there. I feel like I'm on the show Cheers when I go there everybody's so friendly. And always love their decor. Braving the bad tropical rain bands and wind, drove up from Miami to kick back and relax and try this new spot out! Immediately it's got a relaxing vibe inside with lots of tables and a small performing stage. Since they were loud I opted to sit at the jam packed bar. Ordered a Guiness (non alcoholic since it's a long drive home in iffy weather). They had an interesting appetizer on menu of an Irishmen egg rolls but the bartender tod me they ran out that one. I opted for a healthy fish dish and a side of veggies! Ok it was battered and fries but still tastey especially with the sauces and I ordered a side of steam brocolli as well. There were leftovers to take home. This is a cool place and I can see myself coming back. It seems popular as the band kept performing later past 10pm a large party of 8 stolled in and put high tables together and placed their order of drinks and food. The band was having so much fun they played all the way up to 11pm and their very last song they got off the stage and set up in the aisle between the booths and tables to do perform around the patrons. Very cool. I'll definitely make a trip up here again and oh also want to try them tempting spring rolls!
