Ok! The end of the night is here! We started heading back. I was lucky enough to nap in the car. Day drinking knocks me out. But have no fear! Pickled PiZZA WAS HERE! I have had pickled PiZZA before and loved it but was shocked that he was the one who wanted to try it. It was FANTASTIC!! So delicious. They had a great beer selection and also cocktails! Many breweries do not offer cocktails which can be disappointing. But this one does! We had a couple beers each and I got a cocktail. It was goodnight Gracie after this though. Had a very good 'Supreme' pizza from Tilted Axis. It probably would have been better had I not had to warm it up when I got home, a quick 2 mile drive. It was barely warm when I was told it was ready. I watched it sit in the kitchen 'window' for ten minutes from my perch at the bar. The bartender who had taken my order didn't even look at it; she was too busy yacking with two other servers and running out to her car for something. When she told me it was ready, I said "Yeah, I've been looking at it for ten minutes." She replied: "I was waiting for you to finish your beer." There was 2" left in my glass. Then she brought my pie, took my CC, dropped the receipt on the bar, and turned away without another word. The food is good, but this particular server and her friends need to ditch the conversation and concentrate on serving hot food. Went out with the family to Tilted Axis for the first time during our trip....let's just say I still haven't stopped talking about it. The whole experience was perfect. Our family had the whole upstairs floor to ourselves. It was clean, bright, and our server Kristen was just absolutely amazing!!!!!! I got the raspberry vodka fizz drink and it was so delicious. We had pretzel sticks with beer cheese for an appetizer-also SO amazing. There are specialty pizzas or you can choose to build your own. There is a 14 inch as well as a 17 inch. A 14 inch is definitely enough for one person, a 17 inch will leave you with yummy leftover though. I made a build your own pizza, with jalapeños, pineapple, and green bell pepper. Whenever I come back to Michigan to visit family, this will definitely be my new go to spot every time. read more

A nice outdoor area to dine or drink. I never actually made it to the inside as I was served promptly on the patio. Great doesn't seem to satisfy the description of Tilted Axis Brewing. I love the location, parking, food, wait staff, cleanliness and beverage selection. The way they've designed/refurbished this place gives it a warm and inviting charm. I would compare it to the old Chicago/New York style pubs I've visited on vacation. The burgers are so tasty and juicy you'll give them a 5 out of 5 after the first bite. The craft brew selection also will give you the variety your looking for. Every brew is homemade in the back and has a viewing area so you can watch the process from start to finish. The view from upstairs is amazing and the leather couches are a nice touch. The corn hole game area is nice and they also have board games you can play with friends while enjoying time with friends and family. I wouldn't trust their gluten free options. I have had people tell me all of their stuff is cross contaminated and they don't cook their gf food in a separate area. That's extremely dangerous and it's frustrating that they are advertising that. read more

We stopped here during Lapeer Days and tried some of their food and I tried their beer. The pizza was excellent - it had a nice crispy crust and it was very cheesy. We also tried their appetizer - the cheese bread. We went for the large and it was a bit much for 3 people - next time we will order the small. I gave this place a four out of five simply because of their beer variety, their awesome building ( hint- go play upstairs in their game room), and their awesome, caring servers. Their food options looked amazing but didn't get to try any on account of having already dined at the White Horse Inn just prior to arriving but nonetheless the menu looked good and they had beer in most of their offerings. The best part was going upstairs to play indoor bags, a free Simpsons arcade game, a shortened version of shuffleboard, Jenga, and chill on their lounge couches. I could stay there for hours! The beer itself was okay; I wasn't blown away but it was tolerable. The session IPA needed some work as it really didn't taste like an IPA. Their brown is decent and their prices are way more than fair. Also had to buy a mug for $3. All on all a pleasurable experience with family and I'd go back again. Waitstaff was attentive and gracious. Really made the visit memorable. read more

This is an excellent place to have a good meal with local brews. Scotch eggs, pierogis and cheese pizza (with 5 cheeses) make excellent appetizers. The muffuletta is as good as any I've had in New Orleans. The bison dog and Cuban are both quite good. The beers are also great, with something for just about anyone who likes craft beers. Lapeer's down town continues to make some strong steps forward. Tilted axis has beautifully rebuilt a building that has sat empty for many years... and it looks great. The brew master has a great flavor profile across all the offerings. The flights are presented great and at a very fair price. The service was solid, especially for a brand new concept still finding it's footing. The menu is definitely bringing some unique flavors to town.... something that is a very welcomed in Lapeer. They still have some tweaks to do, but it sounds like they are listening to their clientele and will always be looking for ways to improve. Although the main floor isn't that large, the space really opens up when you head upstairs. It's a really cool lounge space with a few leather couches and the promise of an added shuffle board table. All in all, they are doing great out the gates and I look forward to them rolling out more new unique brews! read more

Immediately we're greeted as soon as we walked in letting us know our server would be right with us. We were greeted and got some knowledge on the beers they offered. Very informative and seemed to love talking about it. We ordered the artichoke dip and it was incredible and soon after received our margarita pizza. By far one of the best pizzas I've ever had! The crust was so delicious and the cook even came out and greeted us making sure we enjoyed everything and told us about the ingredients and was also very knowledgeable!
