American Lager

We loved this spot! We had been wanting to try Linden Brewery since they opened. We tried a little of everything. We had their wings and jalapeño popper egg rolls for appetizers. Both were phenomenal! If you like a little extra kick in your food, I really recommend the poppers. They were spicy and you could tell everything was very fresh! For main courses we tried the PB&J burger and the Sassy Sam. They were both delicious! We tried a few of their beers too, a light American Lager, a sour, and a cider. All were delicious. The service was fast and the place was clean. Overall very impressed with the spot!

I am a lover of breweries and consider myself relatively in touch with enjoying beers that most people would like. This spot was recommended to me by a couple of friends that live out this way and it was one I haven't been to yet. First of all, Linden is a cute little town with an adorable downtown and this brewery is situated nicely in a series of buildings of what I can only assume is on Main St. The brewery has two levels, but they were playing trivia on the second level (beer and trivia? Double bonus!) so I headed up there. Now I'm going to preface all this by saying I didn't try their food, but it looked wonderful. My entire experience was limited to a flight of beers and answering the trivia questions on my phone. I do want to come back and try some of the other beers, but I can solidly say that they were fine. Tried a specialty NEIPA and it was more juice than beer, but their more basic offerings were all what you would expect them to be. I will say, that staff was great. I always have a lot of questions and take some time to order and she was so patient. The atmosphere and customers were awesome. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and having such a good time with the trivia. Like I said, I definitely want to come back out here again and try some of their other beers. but it was a great spot to visit and a great small town brewery.

Here's a little personal recommendation - If you visit a local brewery, or any restaurant for that matter, that has a rotating "Special" menu - Order off of it. Why??? Because the standard menu is always going to be there and you can always order off of it. Now, the reason I even mention that is because Linden Brewing Company has a "Spicy Shiawassee Burger" on their special menu that was delicious! Pepper Jack cheese, Jalapeños, and gochujang sauce on a smash burger patty. I got the single and kind of wish I would have went for the double but my cholesterol is thanking me. It wasn't too light and it also wasn't too heavy; it was dang near perfect. I ordered their Amber Ale which was just the right amount of malt to where it didn't taste fake or sweet. Higher ABV than I typically see for an Amber sitting at a 6.5% I believe but good nonetheless. This was my second time visiting here and there will be a third when possible. They don't have a ton of space and it's in an older building with a lot of wood so the sound does travel and echo relatively easy. Two televisions above the bar and about 10 different beers on tap.

Jalapeño poppers. The hot honey they drizzle over the bacon is very flavorful.

This is something Linden has needed for A long time!! I also Love that they utilize the upstairs of the building. Service was decent. We sat at the upper bar. Had a couple IPAs and some delicious food.

Upstairs area and the slider.

Disclaimer-I do not drink beer. For other drinks and food however... They only have Faygo (cans $2 each), Lemonade or water served in clear solo cups and no refills! An ice tea would be a great addition. Atmosphere is boring, cold and uncomfortable. Walls are bare. Plates and silverware are plastic. Sliders are $6 each no sides. sliders were okay. We got the Sammy chicken sandwich ($14) It's dark meat and had zero flavor! Service was okay, not friendly, but not rude either. Not for me and unfortunately I doubt they will last unless they make some changes.

3 flights of beer. Would drink a pint of any of them!

What a gem! I had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious! Others at the table had bourbon bacon jam smash burger with fries (best fries ever!) & loaded French fries, which I like to call heart attack on a plate :). All was awesome! This is a small bar/ dining on the main floor & 50 spots upstairs. Staff were courteous & knowledgeable! The beer is best in this area so far! See picture! We will be back for sure!

Mediocre at best...sad beer choices,...food ok, terrible seating. I prefer lager and pilsner. Most options fruity or nutty. Eh...

The space is smaller but very welcoming and definitely feels like a local hangout spot. When you walk in, the specials board is front and center, including their Burger of the Month, which is what I ordered. Mine featured goat cheese, spinach, strawberry compote, and jalapeños. The flavor combination was unique and really worked well together, and the burger itself was juicy. Personally, I would have loved a bit more char for those crispy edges, but the flavors were definitely there. It came with rosemary fries that were thin, crispy, and generously seasoned. I added a side of hot honey for dipping, which ended up being an unexpectedly amazing combo. The restaurant has a great beer selection, plenty of TVs for sports, fun retro-style décor, and soft lighting that creates a relaxed atmosphere. Even at 9 PM, there were families with kids dining, so it feels very family-friendly rather than a late-night bar scene. Noise levels were low enough that conversation was easy, which I really appreciated. Bathrooms were also exceptionally clean. My main hesitation was pricing. A quesadilla was around $15 and my burger was $20, which pushed dinner for one person with a drink and tip to about $35. While that seems comparable to nearby spots like Boston's, it felt a bit high for casual bar-style dining. Parking is limited, but the location is convenient, just minutes from I-75 and surrounded by other restaurants. Service was amazing. We were sad immediately and she checked back often and said what her favorite thing on the menu was. Overall, good food, creative menu options, and a comfortable atmosphere. With a little refinement and maybe slightly better value, this could easily become a regular stop.

I found Flavorz on Facebook and seen that they have a rotating specials menu as well as a regular menu. So I followed the page and kept an eye on their rotating menu. Even though everything sounded great, I ordered on a day that Meatball subs was the special, as this is my husband's favorite type of sub. So I ordered ahead and drove over to the restaurant. When I walked in, I noticed a wall of coolers for a variety of drinks (from Faygo, Juices, pop, etc), as well as a large chalk board menu and dessert case. There is also plenty of indoor seating as well as a bright interior. I walked up to the counter and gave my name, paid and had a seat. It took a little longer than expected but between walk in ordering and phone calls, I can tell they were busy. When I got home, the sub was huge - it had 4 large meatballs on it that were perfectly cooked... it was an excellent meatball sub and my husband (picky eater) agreed. We will definitely be going back to order other specials, especially the Zuppa Tuscano (soup). Highly recommend and prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and portion.

I've had it made for me by Greek expats, I've had it from the Livonia Hellenic bakery (whose is very good), I've had it elsewhere too, and honestly, I just haven't ever been too into it. I thought I just wasn't really a fan of spinach pie...until I had The Laundry's!!! Theirs is a deep dish version with layers and layers of phyllo and a few secret ingredients that the chef wasn't willing to share (of course I asked!) It was incredible and truth be told...it was the best part of my first experience at The Laundry. We also ordered a proper lunch with a couple sammies and some French Onion soup. My girl ordered the Croque Monsieur and I ordered the #97. I liked hers and she preferred mine so we swapped. The potato salad they brought with my 97 was just meh....the potatoes weren't cooked all the way and the mayo-yogurt based dressing was kind of a bummer, but the two different styles of pickles we ordered helped carry the sandwiches. Service was beyond excellent and we felt well taken care of.

I added the French onion soup for $11 and it was the perfect lunch. The soup was excellent, except there was way too much cheese! Half the bowl was cheese. I love that the flavor was there yet I had more broth than onions. Oddly enough, French onion soup is one of my favs, but I don't want to eat the onions! They have a great selection of coffee drinks. I got the iced sweet and salty with no vanilla syrup. It had a salted caramel cold foam atop of cold brew. I mixed it all up and had a deliciously creamy drink!
