Went with the family and we tried everything. The burgers were delicious with a substantial amount of cheese (sharp cheddar is best!). The fries were crisped up well. The ice cream was delicious. You can get individual scoops of all sorts of flavors. We tried all sorts of ice cream and cheeses too. The cooks are hammering out burgers like no one's business to keep up with the traffic (two thumbs up). The line takes about 30 minutes to get through so be patient! The ice cream line takes about 10-20 minutes. If you're adding halal certification, explain exactly what that involves, who certifies it, and where any certification fees go. Customers deserve transparency so they can decide whether your choices align with their values. Until I have those answers, I'm taking my business elsewhere. I do not support Muslims or Islam. The cafe is overpriced for bland food. I had the cheeseburger and the meat was dry and tasteless. The fries were bland and limp. Partner had the grilled cheese, he enjoyed it. He also had fried cheese curds, the batter is bland and there was nothing to dip them into. The cafe is loud and chaotic. All the employees were pleasant and helpful. The ice cream is excellent. I'd highly recommend getting ice cream here and eating a meal elsewhere. read more

While on vacation we decided the VIP tour here would be right up our alley as we love both cheese and ice cream and this brand is top tier. First of all its HUGE! Get the VIP tour its worth it, hands down! You try some amazing flavors, they send you home with tons of goodies and the staff members were PHENOMINAL! Im looking at you Duncan and Emi!! Duncan and his assistant made the whole VIP aspect of the tour amazing! Duncan sang Happy Birthday to another member of the group but sang it in Hawaiian, his native tongue! It was just such a blast! When you go inside for the self guided cheese tour, they give lots of cheese samples!! So yummy! They also have a huge gift shop! It was so much fun to shop in. We came on a Sunday so the production line wasn't fully opened. Only a small part of it was running. It's one building overall with a self guided tour and reading as you go. You can go through this place as fast or as slow as you want to. We might've spent around 2 hours but that was including time in the gift shop and carefully reading each sign closely and watching what happens during each process. We got to try samples of 4 kinds of cheeses, smoked black pepper, white cheddar, and medium cheddar, and one more I forget the name of. We also tried some ice cream. It's a cute little stand that you stand in line and grab and go. The gift shop has a ton of items for everyone, even various packs of cheese and cute stuffed cheese blocks. The cafe had your average grilled cheese/burgers, but we didn't end up eating there. The line was super long and the food didn't look worth it to me for the price point. We did end up getting a sampler of ice cream though, 3 flavors being strawberry, Marion berry, and cookies and cream, which were all really good. They were rich in flavor and creamy. I want to give Emiliano and Sebastian 5 stars but I was rather disappointed by Tillamook Customer Service. We had purchased tickets for the tour and ended up being late. We had tried to contact the creamery multiple times before we had even arrived to Oregon , before going to the creamery as well as the day of with no responses back via phone or email. Incredibly frustrating. Once we arrived late the Customer service employee wanted us to join the tour late at which we would've missed all the taking and only caught the tail end of the experience. I had to argue to have it moved which shouldn't have even occurred it should have been proposed. There were no apologies or anything for not responding. The taste buds tour was definitely worth it and Sebastian and Emiliano did amazing. Emiliano also did a great job on the cheese tour itself. We really enjoyed learning about their process and tasting the ice cream. The gift shop is one of the best I've seen. We of course had to try all their food and the ice cream is not only delicious but serving generous portions. Overall if customer service answered the phone and would've better assisted our experience would've been 5 stars . read more

Second time visiting here! The place looks the same as it did in 2021 when I first visited. They still offer packaged cheese samples. This time I tried the cheese curds which were great. Idk why I thought eating it would open up my appetite.. it did not and actually couldn't eat very much of it in one sitting but i saved them and put them in the fridge and after airfry, it's still pretty good! This place is super cool in general. You can see all the production of their on the second floor and they offer you free cheese to sample as well! The bottom floor includes their gift shop and restaurants. I tried their fried cheese curds which were pretty yummy. They taste just like mozzarella sticks but tiny. Their grilled cheese was great as well, not as good as the Starbucks one though. I didn't try their ice cream but it seems to be the most popular item. You order at the front or online. I would recommend ordering at the front because their online menu doesn't include things like their pizza. This is a cool experience. 3 stars for the cafeteria 5 stars for everything else CAFETERIA Line was crazy long (not their fault) but it was moving steadily along. They have tvs circulating the menu where the line is and I had my eye on the pulled pork the whole time. Apparently so did everyone else because it was sold out which was super disappointing considering it was like 1pm. I then ordered a burger with a side of Mac and cheese. My burger came made incorrectly (I'd asked for a couple of things off) and the Mac and cheese was really disappointing. I'm getting cheese curds next time! It was also insanely expensive, even for an "attraction" food court. EVERYTHING ELSE I highly recommended checking out the self guided tour if you're in the area. If you're anything like me you've seen Tillamook products in your grocery store for years and seeing how it's made is really cool. Their store is also insane. Pro tip - there are some cheeses you can only get there so keep an eye out for that! Be prepared for crowds no matter when you go. The positive - the free self-guided tour was interesting and we enjoyed it. The souvenir shop had a lot of interesting things. And of course the ice cream is delicious. The people at the information booth were friendly and personable. And now for what needs improvement! Customer service at the cafe was not friendly. And on two separate days we were there and still couldn't figure out how things work. They give you a buzzer but then you also see people delivering food to tables. The first day, our buzzer went off several times but nobody brought us anything. I finally approached the person who was delivering food and he said we needed to go up to the register to get our order. What? Back to the registers where there is a huge line? If that's the case, have a designated pick up area. And why do some orders get delivered and others don't? Make it make sense. And be clear about it when hand the buzzer to guests. The second time we stopped in, we ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee for my husband. The girl at the register asked if we wanted anything else and as I was looking for other drink options, she finalized our order, said the total and walked away. I found that rather rude. Guess I didn't get a drink. Later we saw her just standing at the register with her arms crossed. If she's that miserable less than an hour after opening, perhaps a customer facing job isn't for her. The patio door in the cafe also needs to be fixed so it's not banging every single time someone goes thru it. I would suggest anyone visiting enjoy the self-guided tour, maybe grab some ice cream, but go get food elsewhere. Oh, and as to how the food was - it was just ok. I'd say visiting the Tillamook Creamery is an interesting and enjoyable experience! We arrived early, before the crowds. We entered the large building and began the self-guided tour. We found it fascinating to see how their products are produced. We enjoyed the cheese samples and of course we purchased some to take home. We dined in the cafe and were glad that we beat the lines. We throughly enjoyed the cheese curds and mac & cheese. Wonderful experience but I recommend arriving early. Ice cream is my favorite food - I would be in trouble if I lived close to here! I went with a group of 11 people, 4 adults, 7 kids. We all really enjoyed ourselves. We liked watching the process of making and packaging the cheese ( there really should be some kind of line -start at station 1 and then move along - I know it's designed to do this but there were people just jumping back and forth which because frustrating) The ice cream is delicious - I had to get a flight - my eyes were bigger than my stomach but it was worth it! Come for the free self guided tour, skip the cafeteria food. The self guided tour is free and fun for all ages. You can learn how cheese is made and packaged on a large scale. Lots of things to reach and you can sample as much cheese and ice cream. Sampling line is long but cycles through quickly. The cafeteria food had so much potential but it's a total fail. The hamburgers had tiny patties and was mostly bread. The same goes for pizza. It feels like eating 80 percent bread and 20 percent meat. They could have really showcased their cheese in a much better way, but instead let everyone in our group down (except for the kids). French fries were good though. The ice cream was great. Note that they have two lines for this - one on inside and outside. The inside one was long but less people were aware of the outside one. They have a lawn area for dogs and kids to play on. It was great because the weather was nice and kids can run around. They should offer doggie bags for owners to pick up their dog poop though. I saw an owner let their dog lay a fresh one around where our kids were playing and didn't clean it up. The grocery and souvenir store is fun to browse around. The overall experience wasn't as cheesy as I expected. Just a few puns were used, such as "Mooving door". Come here for a grate experience. Plan your lunch elsewhere. read more

Tillamook Creamery is a wonderful experience for folks of all ages. Families with kids will especially appreciate the creamery and all the interactive activities, sights, and samples the place has to offer. My wife and I participated in the ice cream tasting experience and for $45 per person, it's an experience that can't be topped. Without spoiling the experience, the included ice cream samples and souvenir cover more than half the cost of admission. From start to finish, the experience lasts 1.5 hours. You'll definitely want to book this a week or two in advance because walk-ins are not typically available. If you want to avoid crowds, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to arrive sharply at 9:00 a.m. right when they open. Not only will you be able to park close by, but you'll be able to do the self-guided tour, walk through the store, and order from the cafe and ice cream shop, all without having to compete with a Disneyland sized crowd. I tried out a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of cheese curds and for cheese lovers, there's no better combo. The grilled cheese is rich and decadent and the fried cheese curds are deliciously crunchy. Definitely come hungry if you're doing one of the tours that include a tasting, since you'll also be collecting cheese samples at the end of the self-guided tour, and you'll want to save your appetite for something from the cafe as well. If you're able to slot in a drive out to Tillamook Creamery in your travel itinerary, you will have the time of your life. My daughter and I love cheese. I'm lactose but will still eat it. I can't say no to the squeeky cheese and sharp cheddar. You can watch cheese get made and cut into smaller pieces. They have plenty of things to read and learn a thing or two. They have other food and ice cream here. Oh my my ,oh hell yes, Tillamook cheese, is the very best!!! The name "Tillamook" is derived from the Chinook language. It primarily translates to "people of Nekelim" (or Nehalem), referring to a prominent Native American tribe that lived on the Oregon coast. I grew up on the mysterious mystic Oregon coast, and know much of its history, and good eats. Tillamook Creamery Coop started in 1909 is world class in my mind! And boy, has it grown an expanded! You can, order online, I do sometimes for their Jerky's. Their ice cream is killer, flavored cream cheese to die for, and what an array of excellent excellent cheeses. Now I get here in the South ( most stores), comfort food! To make my creamy hot macaroni with burnt ends! We got there as they were opening, made it easier to get parking and not as many people as there were later. We did the self guided tour, which was a fun way to learn the process of cheese making. Loved being able to taste a number of their cheese's at the end of the tour. The store is great with lots of cute, fun things. We finished by having lunch and ice cream. The pizza was good and all thee ice cream we had were good. The lines for both pizza and ice cream were crazy long. They opened more ice cream counters while were in line reducing our wait time. This was a really good ice cream that I had at the Tillamook factory. It was on the way back from the Cannon Beach and I definitely come here and recommend it. The place was huge. The ice cream was very flavorful and they even gave my friend a pup cup for their dog. There was so many flavors there, even if the line was long, kind of a while, just decide which flavor to get, so it kind of worked out, but the service was pretty good read more

Came for the Ice Cream Experience Tour and to visit Tillamook Creamery in general. We drove down from Seaside (approx 1 hour + stop for Rockaway Big Cedar walk) and arrive at noon, peak lunch time. Cafe was a bit of a mess of people queuing so I took the advice from the boards and downloaded and ordered from the app, then grabbed some pizza for myself. App said my order was ready but order wasn't ready so had to wait. Ordered pulled pork and pineapple pizza because it seemed easy and again told to wait. It was unclear where they wanted me to wait or how they would call my number. I picked up my app order (burgers, cheese curds, mac and cheese and fruit), then went back to pizza corner to find my order was just sitting there. Advice: do not download the app (not worth it) unless you do that in advance so you don't need to enter all the sign up details. App mobile order pickup is at the pizza counter. If you order pizza, just wait for them to hand it to you, even though they will tell you to wait and it won't be right away. It is, in fact, just there. Would rate this 2 stars for cafe. However! We loved our paid tour Ice Cream Experience! Also the self guided tour of the creamery. The place was busy (Wednesday summertime), but parking was found and we got to see and do everything we wanted except maybe cheese samples. (The line was long, we skipped it). I've been here a number of times over the years and I think it's still a worthwhile visit on occasion. Kids loved ice cream tour ($35/person), we did too. We learned about all the milk delivered and ice cream made every day at Tillamook and the flavors and method- we tried a new product ice cream bar (delish!) and then got 4 large samples (think 4 scoops!) of ice cream. I'll start by saying that I went on Sunday of Labor Day weekend so that may have attributed to the chaos but the place was absolutely packed. There were lines to do everything - to find parking, to see the factory floor, to get food, to get samples - and I can't say I felt waiting in any of them was worth it after the experience was completed. Glad to have gone, but probably won't seek it out again until I have to. The facility is quite nice and renovated, but my understanding is the experience was a lot better beforehand. Previously you would get numerous cut samples vs the one and 2 prepackaged cheddars we received. We waited maybe 30 minutes or more for food. The line was so long that we ordered and finished pizza from the express lane before getting to the counter for the burger and cheese curds we had ordered. That said- the food was pretty damn good (but not 30+ minutes of waiting in line good). Skip the burger, get the spicy aioli for the curds, and don't miss the Detroit style pizza. I can't speak to the ice cream because we had major line-fatigue after our lunch. The facility is very family friendly and inclusive for persons with mobility challenges. While packed, we did find picnic bench seating outside on the covered patio to eat our lunch at. There's also an expansive lawn for those looking to picnic or stretch their legs. read more

Tillamook Creamery is worth it for both tourists and locals traveling through the Coast. To start, they have self guided tours to watch the production process start to finish. Fun interactive activities for kids as well. When it comes to the cafeteria/ice cream shop, be prepared for very long lines. They had the right idea to create a mobile app to combat lines through mobile ordering but it doesn't work right now (as much as they promote everywhere on site to use it). We went through the cafeteria to have lunch. I had the Tillamook Cheeseburger with fries and both were fresh and satisfying. If they can figure out how to overcome the long lines and wait times, this could be a 5-star experience! read more

We visited their main flagship store in Tillamook, OR. The drive coming from Portland took a good 3 hours going downhill. It was exciting at first but when we get to the place, we are tired, hungry and grumpy already, then, to see the beeline towards purchasing anything was a total letdown. Not quite actually, it is only a long line but they are fast at serving the food. The servers and cashiers were very nice and patient. We wanted to buy some apparels for souvenirs but they are quite expensive and out of our budget. I'm sad to leave without a shirt at least. Our family enjoyed a lot of Tillamook ice creams-all time favorite is French Vanilla, Rockyroad, wafflecone and new in our list is the salted caramel and German chocolate. Full disclosure: I do not favor corporate-like dairy companies. However they may have started out, that's what I consider them now. I'm not a fan of cows in cages as they are being milked, or baby cows being taken from their moms, so to me, there was a lot of "propoganda" in here, such as the "cute" baby cow model in a house (cage) that you could practice feeding with the bottle. Also a chance to practice milking a cow which was admittedly hilarious to watch (I did not try). It is, though, a must stop that no tour of the area is complete without. And yes, the cheese and ice cream are good. You can pick a guided tour for a price (very long line) or you can just go up the stairs and look down at the factory through the windows. Lines everywhere - this place is VERY popular. Huge store, after a recent renovation, tons of seating for the cafe and ice cream, and even so, very crowded with minimal empty spaces. You can stand in line for ice cream or get something cheezy from the cafe: pizza, grilled cheese. Best food: the cheese curds. Best drink: the peach lemonade with fruit bits. Expensive merch. Tillamook is locally made in Oregon and a must-stop when visiting. Although I thought it was overrated, it's something to do at least once. There is a Tillamook Country Smoker down the street, which is a small beef jerky outlet shop, and then there's the highly visited Tillamook Creamery, where they make the cheese and ice cream. The jerky outlet was awesome with really affordable prices and a variety of flavors, including tons of sugar-free options. Tillamook Creamery, on the other hand, was hectic. Lines everywhere, but managed well with all their signage and employees directing you where to go. The parking lot was huge and crowded, but easy to find a spot as people came and went. Food 2/5* On first glance, everything looked good. I planned to get so many things, but they ran out of grilled cheese sandwiches and when I saw them cutting up the deep dish pizza and it was soft, not crispy, I changed my mind on the pizza. The burger was tiny and you couldn't really taste the sharp white cheddar at all. The mac and cheese, also bland. The random sprinkle of crushed pretzels on top did not work at all - too chunky, hard, and did nothing to enhance the mac and cheese. The only dish that was good with flavor were the cheese curds. Dipped in spicy ranch, it was a great pairing. Self-Guided Tour & Samples 5/5* The highlight was the self-guided tour upstairs that allowed you to look into the factory below. On the way out was a sampling station, where they had 4 choices of packaged cheese snacks to sample, plus whatever special they had. They were so generous, with no limit to how many you wanted to sample. The best was the smoked black pepper white cheddar. Dog Friendly 3/5* They also had a store inside selling all their goodies and merchandise, including for dogs! Although the front had a huge lawn allowing dogs, it was inconvenient that dogs weren't allowed inside. There were two lines inside, one for hot food and the super long line for ice cream. There's also another line outside for just ice cream only and small snacks. It would've been nice if there was a line for hot food outside so those with dogs could stay together. Not very many places anymore offer tours or a peak into their factories. But Tillamook lets you see behind the glass and see how cheese is made all the way to packaging. They offer cheese samples. There's a gift shop, cafe and ice cream shop we haven't even gotten to yet. It's a busy places with kids activities and even grown up can do.
