Easy to work with, but a few fundamental flaws. 1. Their shingle sample showroom is in a dark basement so the shingles look much different on the roof than when we made our decision in their showroom. We would have chosen a different color had we known. 2. After removing our old roof on a particularly windy day, the workers left debris all over our deck and yard, which we are still cleaning up ourselves two months later even after alerting the project manager and asking them to clean up their work. 3. Does not accept credit cards even though Yelp and their website say they do, which is unacceptable as a business in 2024. If you really must, then pass the servicing fee to customers. read more

Tiley replaced our roof. Throughout the process, as a homeowner, I had to be engaged. The sales staff does not coordinate with the installation team and they attempted to up charge multiple times. Had to pull the contract to have charges removed. Many cooks in this kitchen with little coordination among them, Unprofessional and unorganized. They installed the tiles on the roof incorrectly as they were different colors and needed to be placed in a specific fashion. They had to re-do several sections after I pointed out the error. No one from the Tiley team was onsite as they used subcontractors! Yet their website says they don't! Multiple issues with the replacement gutters including leaking, not adequately collecting the water and overall a poor job. Again, subcontractors were used Post installation was a nightmare. Attempted to charge us to review their mistakes. Almost like working with an insurance company trying to deny your claim. While the roof appears to be ok, the gutters continue to be an issue. Never cleaned up the site after the work was done Stay away from this roofing company as they do not stand behind their work and difficult to work with. read more

We've been dealing with this roofing company for over four months. 1)We are currently pursuing legal action! 2) We are replacing the roof because our brand new roof is defective. This is our first house and the first and our very first and the most unfortunate experience with a roofing company. I will share a few key points why you should never consider hiring them. 1) The sub-crew came in on-site without supervision for the initial installation. But, of course, we trusted the company and assumed they would do their best. Upon inspection, we found countless damages, including mismatched and old singles, some barely holding, countless leaks, and more. 2) The crew returned eight times and could not fix the damages. There were still no supervisors, but we tried to supervise them as the crew attempted to install damaged shingles. 3) When we tried to communicate with the crew, they became hostile and made us very uncomfortable. My husband and I are no match for the crew of workers with axes. 4) Finally, we tried to reach out and talk to management and asked them to come back with the crew and the supervisor. There was no communication for a while. 5) Finally, the company declared that the work was completed! ** We have many pictures, two reports from independent roofing contractors, and complaint reports, but pictures speak louder than words! ** read more

Tiley Roofing is excellent, from the start of the process of estimating and getting a quote, all the way through the end, in dealing with my insurance company to ensure that my (higher rated [kevlar]) roof qualified for a homeowners discount, they've been excellent to work with from start to finish. When I originally bought my home, part of the flat roof had to be replaced, so after the hail storm of 2017, I used them a second time to replace the roof on both of my houses. I was very happy with their professionalism, having dealt with contractors on my house in the past, I know that it's a crap shoot as to whether you're going to get a reliable, trustworthy partner to fix your home. I've had to replace my roof twice due to hail over the past twenty years or so, and each time I've gone with Tiley to do the replacement. Their pricing is completely fair, their crews conscientious and the work excellent. Tiley has been around long enough and has done such a diversity of work that I'm sure there is no job they can't handle. I will admit that like all roofers, Tiley does use some subcontractors, but whenever they have been notified of any issues with their subs, those subs no longer work for Tiley. I did have one small issue with my job, but the on-site supervisor and project manager worked to make sure that everything was taken care of to my full satisfaction. I'm definitely not hoping to need roof work of any type again any time soon, but should it be required, Tiley will again be my very first phone call. read more

Horrible experience. They ordered the wrong shingle and only because I was home when it was delivered was this error caught. On sight guy assured me it was the correct shingle. I had the call the manufacturer and have them email me to prove it was not. Then, with the house sitting in underlayment only waiting for new shingles, rain was forecast. I tried three times via phone, text and email to get Tiley Roofing to come out before it rained to double check the under layment. They did not. Roof leaked during the rain storm. Caused over $6,000 damage to my house. Kirk Tiley (the owner) was way more concerned about how to minimize his costs than he was about taking care of my and the situation his company had created. He interfered with Delta Disaster that did the remediation work telling them to stop work as he was going to do it himself. He demanded I use his "handy man" to put my house back together instead of a contractor I had used for years on other projects. Roof got installed several weeks after the leak when correct shingles arrived. They attempted to install the attic fan which I had specified be installed with a thermostat so it would not turn on in the winter (which is not necessary or helpful in Colorado's cold dry winter climate). They failed to order a switch that worked with the fan they ordered and tried to blame me for the error because during the sales process I sent them a link of an *example* of what I wanted. Had a third party roofer inspect the roof. Realized that the ridge that was installed did not match the field -- was significantly more green in color. Tiley sent a guy out weeks later to install new ridge and he came right back down saying the new stuff he had was exactly the same and he is shocked that the ridge was ever installed because it clearly does not match. About 8 weeks later new ridge was shipped and installed that matched. During all of this Kirk Tiley barely even apologized and never personally offered to make things right through any financial accommodation. Rather, he sent it to his insurance company and I ended up negotiating with a third party claims administrator. More than 8 months later my roof is finally done and house back in order. Got a $3,000 discount for all of my trouble...yippie. To be fair, Tiley Roofing did do all the work along the way even though I had not paid them a penny (would you?). I did not pay them anything until the work was finally completed. And, I refused to sign their insurance company's release form which would have eliminated my ability to get coverage from them if I ever had mold or other future issues from this and Tiley went ahead and ate the $3,000 themselves. But what a nightmare made worse by the fact that Tiley Roofing cared most about minimizing their costs in the incident instead of focusing on fixing the problems they caused and making things right with their customer. Suggest you go to a different roofer. read more

I really appreciated working with Tiley Roofing on replacing our roof that had wind damage from the heavy winds that we had this winter. First, I got quotes from Tiley and from another local roofing company for my claim. The quote from Tiley was less, but also more thorough. I did not get as much information from the other company. Both quotes were higher than the amount that our insurance adjuster was authorizing, however. The estimator from Tiley worked directly with my insurance adjuster and, with negotiations back and forth, he was able to get the insurance to authorize more for the work as there were things that Boulder County Building Code requires that other counties do not. (Surprise, surprise,--- if you have ever tried to get a building permit in Boulder County). Also, the insurance adjuster's square footage was not accurate and Tiley worked with them to adjust their figures. I was glad to have Tiley work with the insurance adjuster instead of having to do it myself. And I was glad that the insurance finally agreed to the amount that Tiley had originally quoted. Lastly, the work done by Tiley was completed sooner than expected. They did a great job of communicating with me. (They are very thorough with communication all around). And they did a great job on site with clean up. I have not found one stray nail left behind. The Boulder County Building official that approved the permit commented on the high quality of the work done. All in all it was an excellent experience with Tiley Roofing. read more

Avoid at all costs! It's been 10 years since they installed my roof. I selected them at the time for being a good price and they were on a referral list I use (they are no longer on that list) The problems didn't show up until just after the 5 year workmanship warranty was up. They omitted drip-edge from the entire roof, which will now cost thousands to repair all of the leaks and rot caused by this. The water damage got into the walls and destroyed a couple windows as well. They used a 5 year ridge cap, used the wrong nails for the ridge vent, which caused the entire ridge cap to fail, Although I had a 50 year mfr warranty, GAF/Elk could not help me because Tiley didn't use the proper 50 year rated product. A 200 square foot section of roof had to be replaced, because the installer caved in three skylight panels, which all had to be replaced. The flashing was done incorrectly, so the entire area around them had to be redone. When I contacted them about all this, they informed me it was a couple months out of the workmanship warranty, but would be happy to come give me a quote for all of the necessary repairs- I think not! read more
