I cannot say enough good things about Rainier Bath and Tile. If you're reading reviews trying to…read morefigure out who to trust with your bathroom, stop here and call them. We found them on Yelp after discovering water was leaking from our upstairs bathroom into the ceiling below -- the drywall had already started to collapse. It's a small bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink, and washer/dryer, and we assumed it was just a grouting or caulking fix. Timothy came over within hours after I contacted him for a free inspection. He did a series of tests with me that revealed that the entire shower had been built wrong and had been silently leaking water into our walls and ceiling for years. If we'd hired someone who just slapped on new grout and called it a day, we'd still have water destroying our home from the inside out. Their systematic approach caught what a previous contractor missed when we had them out for the same issue two years ago. They rebuilt the shower completely and repaired the damaged ceiling below. The whole project took about two week, and honestly, every single day of that process was impressive. Their communication was outstanding--they stopped to ask questions at exactly the right moments, walked us through every decision, and never once made us feel out of the loop. And they listened to the issues we had with the shower and make awesome design suggestions like a ceiling mounted shower head for our tall daughters and making more storage in the walls that were there. They worked clean, treated our home with genuine respect, and made smart calls throughout the entire project. And then there's the finished product. Wow. This wasn't just a repair--it was a transformation. The attention to design detail is incredible. Tile work is flawless, grout lines are perfect, everything has a high-end, intentional look to it. Our bathroom has never looked this good, not even when we moved in. They clearly take enormous pride in their craftsmanship, and it shows. Pricing was fair for the scope of work, and when you consider they uncovered years of hidden damage that no one else would have found, it was an absolute bargain. We would hire Rainier Bath and Tile again in a heartbeat and will be recommending them to everyone we know. This is a team that does things the right way--no shortcuts, great communication, and exceptional work and accountability from start to finish.

We had 3 quotes and even though they were the least expensive, they did an outstanding job. We met several of their team and every one of them was courteous, friendly and hard working. He was easy to reach and very direct, which gave me confidence to move forward. Overall, the work was good. The flooring price was fair, but the painting cost felt high. The biggest issue was communication once the project started. I made the prepayment, met to sign the contract, and did my part. But after that, getting a response became extremely difficult. Communication with the point of contact (I won't name) was almost non-existent, which was unacceptable. The workers did their job, but since they do not speak English, any questions or clarifications had to go through the point of contact. This made resolving even small issues frustrating. On top of that, I asked for a little leftover baseboard paint for touch ups. I was told I would get it after the project was done, but it has now been four months and I still have not received anything. Cleanup was also lacking. Like other contractors I have used in the past, they left dust and debris behind, and I had to do a lot of follow up cleaning after they left each day. Prestige Flooring will get the job done, and Vlad himself was responsive at the beginning, which stood out compared to other contractors. But be prepared for poor communication during the project and less than ideal cleanup afterward. Professional service includes timely communication, not making the customer feel like they need to nag or beg for a response. That was the most disappointing part of the experience.

So when it came time to remodel our downstairs bathroom, we didn't hesitate to call him again. From the start, the demolition was done with incredible care and attention to detail. Dmitriy and his team then built a walk-in shower completely from scratch -- we didn't even use a pre-made one! Their precision and craftsmanship are truly amazing. They worked hard, starting early every morning and continuing through the late afternoon -- non-stop. They kept everything clean and organized each day, never leaving a mess, and were mindful not to block walkways. Everything was completed right on schedule. I also really appreciate how Dmitriy communicates. He responds to questions quickly and clearly, which makes the whole process smooth and stress-free. I've worked with several contractors over the years, and Dmitriy and his team are by far the best. I'll definitely be calling them for our next project. We highly recommend Dex Homes! Hiring Vasiliy for our kitchen backsplash was always a gamble because he had zero reviews online,…read morebut he told me he's a subcontractor for Great Floors, showed me lots of wonderful install photos, and made me feel like he was a good guy who's wanting to get out of being just a subcontractor. Spoiler alert: He's not a good guy, nor is he a good craftsman. Pros: - Good layout: We were so excited that we paid more ($1600) than he asked ($1450-$1500) because he seemed like such a nice guy that cared about doing a good job. He was finishing the grout that day and we thought he was done because if the layout was nice, how could he mess up grout? That seems like the easy part? It was not the easy part, and was the longest part of this whole ordeal. Cons: - Cannot do grout: His grout left a white residue that was impossible to remove. He also admitted to using a bad grout mix that he doesn't usually use, which was weird because we weren't in a rush and had no deadline for this project, but he kept trying to rush through it anyway. To his credit, he tried cleaning it a few times with acid, but damaged our counters in the process. He actually got it right one time with a dark gray (we wanted black grout and the dark gray looked fine) but instead of asking us, he sent his employee, who literally acid washed it again and ruined it. He grouted a 3rd time, which came out white again. - Unprofessional/unreliable: Shows up whenever he feels like it. He gave me notice a couple times when I asked him to, but he'll more often say he's going to come by and show up hours late or not at all. - Messy work: Sloppy caulking work which we had to wipe off after he left because it looked so bad. I feel like it's common knowledge to use painter's tape if you're not good at freehanding caulk, but he didn't care enough to. Also, the acid or cleaner they used left damage on our natural stone (basalt) tiles. He didn't even protect the brand new counters or brand new hardwood floors (there is damage to quartz and a deep scratch on the floor). - No integrity in his commitments: After all of this, we lost trust in him being able to fix it without damaging our home further. We asked for a partial refund to reimburse the time/labor it's going to take us to meticulously paint the grout the proper color (requires taping since the grout paint dyes the tile as well, and as you can see in photos, there is a LOT of grout lines to fix). He agreed that he made a mistake with the grout and felt really bad about it, so he agreed to reimburse us the $600 we asked for. I even asked if what I asked for was too much, because I've never had to ask for money back like this, but we paid for a complete tile job and are now spending many hours trying to fix the work. He told me "no it's reasonable" and said he would come by on 2 separate occasions, but never showed up. He seemed like he genuinely wanted to make it right, but then stopped responding entirely. I've texted him 4 times since because it seemed odd, but I guess I misjudged his character. I would respect him a lot more if he responded and said he didn't feel good about providing a partial refund, but he decided to just ghost me instead. He advertises a warranty on his website, but don't hold your breath. Even when he messes up a tile install and admits to it, he'll just decide to stop responding whenever he feels like it. I get that mistakes happen, and I get that things don't always go to plan, but I expect you to own it and communicate with me like a professional. My bar is so low and I'm willing to put up with so much, yet somehow Vasiliy came in even lower than that. The lack of communication is the worst part. All that being said, I would not recommend hiring Vasiliy. Just find literally any other tile person, and if someone doesn't have any reviews anywhere, take that for the red flag it is.

As a homeowner, I couldn't be happier with the experience and highly recommend them. Vitaliy was excellent to work with throughout the process. He communicated openly about costs, risks, and timelines. His initial quote was the most thorough and detailed among all the bids we received (e.g. including a potential subfloor leveling cost range upfront to avoid surprises later on). He was also open to incorporating a written addendum I provided alongside the standard contract so that all project expectations were clearly documented from the start. When a supplier mistake from Shaw Floors delayed materials and forced my family into a longer Airbnb stay, Vitaliy stepped up and helped cover the ~$1,500 extra cost. That meant a lot to us. The crew treated our home with respect, the floors look beautiful, and throughout the project I felt I could truly trust Vitaliy and David's Flooring. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to other homeowners for flooring work.

They gave me a ball park price, and directed me to the showroom. I wanted flooring that matched the other room of the house. I was provided with samples (kind of large slabs), and was free to bring back the samples whenever it was convenient to me. Overall, they were relaxing to work with and not pushy at all. I made the date for them to come to rip the carpet out, and install the flooring. They were able to complete one room in one day. My request was finished within 3 weeks of contacting David's flooring. The additional great thing is that since my floor was already pretty level, the need to level out my flooring was cleared out of my invoice. So, they gave really great estimates. There were no hidden fees or surprises when I worked with them. Overall, that room was about 2k. The convenience and quickness was really worth it to me. Additionally, they removed and reinstall the baseboards which makes the finish much more professional look.
