I just recently moved into a new home that had the entire upstairs carpeted. I wanted wood floors installed that would match wood floors installed in the downstairs. I have experience with the installation of tile, laminate flooring, and carpets, but not nail down engineered hardwood flooring. I decided to hire Elite for the work as they had done the hardwood installation for the downstairs. From the first phone call I was impressed with them. Great staff that was easy to work with, responsive, and crystal clear on the work, costs, and schedule. The floors are stunning and so is the installation. I can look down the long hallway and see absolute precision in the installation. The floor does not veer right or left in the layout, it is perfectly balanced from the center to the sides. The cuts under doors are the perfect height and there are no gaps between floorboards (except the required expansion gap next to the walls). I would highly recommend Elite for flooring, in fact, I will be hiring them again later this year! read more

My husband and I had a home built for us!! For sure, a very exciting time. I was MOST excited at opportunity to select every interior non structural detail. Our builder sent us to Elite Flooring in Auburn for "hard surface" selections....flooring and counter options. Elite has a nice selections at various budgets. That said, when it came time to actually making selections within builder budgets I was challenged!! Fortunately, our consultant Tiffany was very patient and a pleasure to work with. Before my selections were ultimately decided I returned to Elite 5 times and countless hours. Elite is open to public but cater to contractors... they do not list prices. Imagine shopping within a budget without knowing the price. Apparently different prices depending on contractor direction to Elite. "Our"contractor grade options are buried in back of store Admittedly, my experience of 5 visits over 2 months started enthusiastically ending in frustration and indifference. The flooring and counter tops we afforded are fine. Nothing special, not what I planned, not what I wanted and significantly over "budget" To be fair, my frustration ( at that point) was primarily with our contractor. Although photos do not illustrate the problem, the engineered wood flooring installed by Elite are buckling in three areas. AND squeak in to other areas. . My complaint with a Elite is not the actual product. My complaint with Elite is the finish work. See photos If you are a contractor OR work with a contractor who goes thru Elite... BUYER BEWARE!! The photos posted are AFTER the tile installer ( a sub contractor) for ELITE returned to clean up his garbage work. Even more disappointing the Elite Store Manager and Tiffany came to the house saw the work and were seemingly satisfied. Clearly Elite has no pride, no interest in customer retention. My house is an embarrassment due to Elite Flooring, contractor and sub contractor incompetence Credit Tiffany Two Stars See review on AJC Homes) Mary Alexander read more

I agree whole heartedly with Dave's review below. Cal immediately sent me a quote for $4,500-ish and promised the flooring sample delivery in a week and if we couldnt find an exact match they could install carpet. He delivered a flooring sample 2 1/2 weeks later than promised, and only after I reminded him via email. When I asked if he could look for a redder birch to better match our flooring, he did not respond for almost a week. I again emailed checking in. Absolutly nothing. At that point I took it upon myself to find the correct color hardwood and did so at a fabulous flooring shop in Puyallup. Later that day I opened up my email and found a message from Cal stating that "... unfoutunately the sample I dropped off is close to a match as I can find. As for a carpet, our schedule is booked out 4+ weeks and at this time we are not bidding or performing carpet other than new construction homes." Oh heeeeeeelllllllllll no! I shot him one right back and politely informed him that I infact DID find a red birch that matches, and that we would be giving our $4,500 to a different company. Trusting in Cal made me waste a whole month for absolutly mothing. Better pricing, customer service, better everything can be found elsewhere. I was ready to drop almost 5K for a simple job, and was completly ignored. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY *Side note: I told my boss (real estate agent, has built multiple houses with husband who is a very reputable contractor) of my experience. She immeduwtly told me she had also had a very dissapointing and useless of an experience with them as I did and that she recommends people stay away from them. read more

Todd G. you sent me a email asking who the sales person was. I don't remember her name...the job was done the 1st week if April in 2015. And no I was not confusing your shop with another one. I'm surprised you didn't seem at all concerned about the poor install or that the installer tried to walk off with the left over flooring. read more

I love elite floor coverings! They were efficient and incredibly helpful during our complete remodel of our downstairs, that included tile flooring, laminate flooring, tile backsplash, and quartz countertops. I'd recommend them every single time read more

I had scheduled an appointment with Tony about a month in advance to have my carpets stretched. He was telling me how slow he was due to covid and thanked me for scheduling with him early to get things lined up. He calls me two days before we were scheduled telling me he cannot do it anymore because he got tied up with another project and basically forgot about me. Now before i am moving in this weekend everyone else is booked up and he left me high and dry. I would not recommend this guy to anyone. read more

Dean came out to repair tile work in the master bathroom and kitchen. He was on time, professional, and did great work. I would absolutely recommend this company based on a great experience. Thank you. read more

When we hired the company to do our two bathroom floors, we did not know they are not a real company. We found out from the installers right away that they contract the jobs they get to different small groups of tile people, only having a couple of people working in the office doing paper work/ answering phone calls and going out to place bids. There's no supervision and quality control over those sub-contractors at all. The owner/ the estimator never came during those months of our project. Their price seems to be Okay and that is how they draw you in. After that everything could go wrong went wrong with this floor company. They cut the wire for floor heating when they were putting tiles in. When we found out the floor heating was not working, they refused to check on that or do anything about. We had to stop the project then. We had to hire an individual tile person to get rid of tiles in different areas trying to figure out where the wire was cut and eventually having to hire a company to use their gadget to identity where the wire was damaged. The subcontractor laid tiles on the wall randomly without a pattern, which we had never seen anywhere else; we had to pay them extra money to have that fixed. We used big tiles, which is much easier than small ones in the first place. The installers left without finishing the job and we called them many time in the course of several months, they came back eventually and still left the job unfinished. Again we had to hire and pay some other tile worker to complete the last part of the work. When we told the Elite floor that we would like to use different grout, they tried to make more than a thousand dollar profit from that. The installers left several areas without grout, a little grout and some white coloring material. We had to have them come back multiple times to fill those areas because each time they left something unfinished. And they only agreed to come at their specific convenient time, for example it had to be 9am, 9:30 am would not be Okay, they would not come. The whole project took at least 5 months. Now we have white residue showing on the grout areas. It is pretty nightmarish. read more

We were looking to redo our kitchen backsplash and came acroos Elite Floor Coverings showroom in Auburn. They had a ton of choices and extremely helpful staff (thanks Aaron!). After ordering the materials the installers came out and did an amazing job! Check out the pictures, we couldn't be more happy. In fact it went so well we're going to have them come back to re-tile our old shower in a couple weeks. Will definitely recommend to friends and family! read more

Elite floor coverings ia a great company to work with. The owner Todd is extremely knowledgeable in the flooring industry. He is always on time to his appointments and has a extremely wide varity of carpet hardwoods. Laminit and Tile to choose from. We hired Elite floor coverings for carpet in our home. They were perfect pricing and installation was fast easy and very inexpensive. A few weeks after my carpet purchase i also went back and purchased some tile for my 3 bathrooms and laundry room. My tile arrived perfectly and on time. I look forward to working with Elite Floor Coverings Inc again in the future. read more

I have completely remodeled two houses from studs to finished and have used these guys both times. I went in and told them what kind of look I was going for and they showed me a huge variety of possibilities from cheap to expensive in the style I was going for. After picking my material they scheduled my install for a couple weeks later. Unlike other people who wrote reviews I understand that ordering material takes a little time and there are people in line for install ahead of me. Shouldn't it be a good sign that the company is busy? The installers showed up on time on the scheduled day and got the job done with great quality while having respect for my house and belongings by keeping everything clean. If you want quick, boring designs with bad installers go to Home Depot or Lowes they can hook you up. If you want custom selection, talented installers and great people go to these guys! read more

We hired a contractor to do a complete bathroom remodel including a fully accessible roll-in shower. The entire floor and walls were tiled by Elite Floor Coverings after we met with Cheryl in their design department. She had great ideas for how to pattern the tiles for an amazingly attractive look as well as helped us choose which porcelain tile and shower pan flooring would work & look best together. We also had them re-carpet our bedroom and they had great suggestions for low roll resistance (which is very important when using a wheelchair). The tile work was first rate and I couldn't be more satisfied. This was done almost five years ago - anytime I've had questions since then, they are very responsive and helpful. We liked Cheryl's work so much we brought her back out to consult on colors to paint the whole inside of the house. She came up with suggestions we'd never have thought of - the finished product turned out great! read more

We have had an excellent experience with Elite Floor Coverings. Our builder is using this company for upgrades/selections, so we were told by our realtor to make an appointment here to select everything. Tiffany is the point of contact for our development and she is just great! We set up our appointment and arrived late due to traffic, they were very understanding. Brooke was also there to assist with Tiffany and they were so amazing! We had our 20 month old daughter with us and they provided toys for her and were very accommodating and understanding. She said she made sure to not show us anything that would cost money to upgrade unless we ask. Wow, so unusual compared to the normal pushy sales people you see on a daily basis! They had so many options and really helped us make selections that looked great together. They were also extremely patient when we were indecisive. They were very knowledgeable about the various materials and color pairings. I cannot recommend them enough! Later when I got a call from my realtor about our selections being misplaced from the builder, I called Tiffany and she said she had everything and could send it wherever I needed it and that she was in direct contact with the builder, so not to worry. I can't say enough good things about Tiffany, Brooke, and our experience so far with Elite Floor Coverings! read more

Cal Gerber lied to me about pricing and then after a terrible installation, wouldn't make the necessary corrections. Stay away from Elite, not worth the hassle. read more

Great selection. Which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. I went in a while back , looking to re-do my bathroom counters, and full shower as well as all kitchen counters and downstairs flooring. Big job. So I went in and met with a designer (younger, short, long brown hair) and I'm like cool she's pretty close to my age so we should have some interesting design ideas flowing. Unfortunately she did not really have an interest in helping me, didn't offer any opinions or suggestions. She didn't tell me about better products because of the cost. I really feel like it was because of my age, I was 27 and I look a bit younger. I have a good job as does my husband and I wasn't interested in the cheap way, that's why I was looking to replace what we have. If you can leave me in the lerch to help an older couple who weren't even looking to do anything big then I'm sorry you no longer get my business. I received a quote for about12k and was totally fine with the cost but due to my experience I went elsewhere. read more

We remodeled 2 bathrooms, the kitchen backsplash and hardwood floors with Elite Flooring through the recommendation of a general contractor we had hired to do demolition and rough-in work for our project. The hardwood went in well but when the tile installation began we came to realize that the installers for this company were not employees but rather independent contractors. The first tile setter who worked on our bathrooms used dark thinset to place the light colored tiles which left a thin dark line along the edge of the tile which makes it look like mold when it is wet. He did not protect our floors or carpet which ended up stained and when confronted about this his response was, "Tile work is dirty business, usually the general contractor covers the floors." The tile did not meet in the corners, off 1/8 in or more. I paid $500 extra for epoxy grout and came home to caulk place over in the epoxy grout in the corners. Whats the point of epoxy if you still have to deal with caulk? Tile in the recessed soap dishes were broke instead of sawed so you can see the broken edge. I came home from work on the day the hardwood was installed to find the tile setters apprentice walking a muddy path of wet tile dust over the newly installed hardwood which I spent hours cleaning up with a rotating brush since the hardwood wasn't a smooth, but rather rustic, finish. I came home another day after my new washer and dryer had been delivered in my garage to find the tile setter's apprentice had set up a tile saw two feet from my uncovered washer and dryers and was sawing tile, covering the new appliances with tile dust! When I went in to Elite flooring and talked to an owner the project manager for my project came out and looked at the work said he would replace a small area in the master bath and had a different tile setter come out. The second tile setter was a very nice guy but did express that as an independent contractor he really didn't get paid as much to try to come in an fix someone else's work which just made me feel bad. I do believe he did his best to make previous mistakes less noticeable but the epoxy grout he used ended up shrinking and pulling away from the tile so much of it had to re re-grouted. In the process the wet sponge used took off the texture on the walls 2 inches around the tub and shower to which I was told that it was easy to fix, "...just go get a can of spray texture" like it was my reponsability to fix their mistake...again. The tile backsplash in the kitchen was done by yet another tile setter. The job looked pretty good but when I went to wipe a splash off it one day my wash cloth was the color of the grout and I realized epoxy grout had not been used in my kithcen and the regular grout had not been sealed. The designer admitted to not ordering epoxy grout for the kitchen and told me that they are used to the general contractors sealing it. I spent over $16,000 on a project and I was expected to pay a general contractor to seal it? In the end they gave me a $500 credit for the "unsatisfactory performance of the installer." I don't want to seem ungrateful but it was a drop in the bucket in consideration to what I spent especially considering the cost I had to look forward to with carpet cleaning, texture repair and grout sealing. Do yourself a favor and find your own Tile Installer. See examples of his/her work and have them accountable to you and the quality of the work at the end of each day. I have done several other building/remodel projects and never experienced such trouble. If there was poor quality to a days work the owner always checked up on the work and had it repaired before I even had to say anything (that was Coverall Interiors in Auburn). I went with this company because the general contractor got Elite flooring involved and out to evaluate the project before I even knew about it. Choose a company who will protect your home from the mess involved with the work. I feel like I finally caved and ended up with a "C" quality job because tearing it all out would cost me so much more in repairs to texture, paint and getting other finish work done. read more
