Quick bite to eat near hotel. Tiki dive Mexican restaurant with authentic food. Friendly service. Good place just to relax have street taco and coronas with friends. Nothing too fancy. Hole in the wall with good authentic Mexican food.

Shame I never made it here when I lived in Charleston but I will be back for future visits! Food is tasty and price point can't be beat. I got $30 worth of food and all the food lasted me 4 meals. My favorite was the chorizo sope and you can't go wrong with homemade hot sauce. Atmosphere is nothing crazy. Small and colorful and was busy on a Sunday night when I picked up food. Thanks Tiki Taco!

Ultimate location for every taco Tuesday! Best birria I have had in America. Only 12 dollars! Street tacos only 2 dollars. 5 dollar margs. And you can get them sugar free! Love that it's authentic and the staff mostly only speak Spanish!

We were visiting Charleston & I really wanted birria tacos. After a quick yelp and google search we chose Tiki Taco. The customer service was okay and our food was decent. My Husband & son ordered the three Birria tacos and I ordered the Birria taco plate with double rice because I did not want any refried beans. They do not have black beans or Charro beans. The meat was seasoned well but I had so much fat on 2 of mine that I could've enjoy them. Yes, I know fat will be in some, but I had a lot. The churros were subpar. Everything came out hot and the customer service was decent, but I wasn't really impressed. On a high note, we were able to pay for another customer's food. He accidentally left his debit card and was willing to leave a very nice drill with the staff for collateral. A very expensive drill actually. He would have ended up having to go get his debit card and travel back to the restaurant. We decided to pay for his food. He was very grateful & even hugged my husband. It felt good to do a random act of kindness.

I've driven by this place many times and have been reluctant to go in based on the name to be completely honest. Wasn't sure the correlation of tiki in the name but then again I'm tough when it comes to mexican restaurants because I've been spoiled with very authentic style tacos in Atlanta and we have yet to find one here we've really liked. We definitely thought it was giving "chain" vibes. Decided to stop by for a quick lunch. Definitely gave me a hole in the wall vibes walking in which is a plus for me and especially when they have lengua on the menu. From first glance of our food I was like yes this is what I'm talking about and this looks legit! The rice and beans, very tasty. The tacos were overall just good I would say. They definitely lacked some salt and that depth of flavor that I'm looking for especially in carne asada. we put a bunch of the salsa verde on and I felt that lacked salt too. Textures were good, I really enjoyed the pork belly which I haven't had at a Mexican place before. But hubby loved the thinly sliced radishes and the grilled Serrano peppers on the side. Servers were nice, food came out quick and we're still on the hunt for some mind blowing epic and flavorful tacos!

I've driven by Tiki Taco so many times, and I'm so glad we finally stopped by last night--WOW! It was absolutely delicious. The corn tortillas were the best I've ever had, and overall, this might just be my new favorite Mexican spot in Charleston. The flavors were incredible, the staff was super friendly, and the prices were very affordable. It's located a little off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip. We'll definitely be going back, especially for their $6 Taco Nights where you get 3 tacos! Highly recommend!

Lackluster experience and service . Cashiers were not very people oriented or friendly . Food was okay nothing great Carne asada was season very well but chicken and shrimp were not . Was quite disappointed considering some good reviews from other locations. I am not sure if I would go here again. More than likely not.

The outdoor area is huge and inviting, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We especially loved sinking into the comfortable rocking chairs, the perfect place to kick back with a drink in hand. The overhangs and fans kept everything cool and breezy, which made hanging outside even more enjoyable on a warm day. One of our favorite features was the outdoor ordering window. It's so convenient, especially if you're visiting with your pup--you never have to leave them behind just to grab another round. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe with great music setting the tone. While we didn't sample the food this time, it was definitely tempting, and it's nice to know it's available if you want to make an afternoon of it. Drink-wise, Commonhouse nails it. While beer is their specialty (and they have a solid selection), they also offer a frozen drink and a few seltzers for those who prefer something a little different. And for the pups? They've thought of that too, with outdoor water stations so your dog can stay refreshed right alongside you. All in all, it's a truly pet-friendly spot with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. It's quickly become one of our favorite places to relax and enjoy Charleston with Luna by our side.

Since I discovered how good the food is here, it's become a regular stop. The smashburgers are so…read moredamn good that I get a craving from that won't go away until I stop in to eat. I've now worked my way through some of the other menu items like the brisket grilled cheese, the cheesesteak special, and the hummus platter. You can't go wrong with anything here, but the CAB Smashburger is my go to. I love sitting on the patio on a nice day with some live music and some good eats. Inside feels a little boring, but I would only sit in there if the weather was particularly crazy anyway. For those that don't drink beer, they do have other options as well like frozen drinks, seltzer, and wine.
