Treasure of Agaves!
Dr. Scott C.

Agaves our go to Mexican restaurant off of Bees Ferry!! This place is always rocking with the music and cool vibe!! Service is always outstanding and staff is very friendly and helpful!! I love the Golden Tacos with ground beef and the Taquitos Mexicanos both are delicious! Easy 5 Stars !!

Do NOT order takeout. I live one block away and tacos were so soggy that I couldn't even pick them up. I paid $6.99 for cheese sauce and it was in the smallest cup and it was spilt everywhere from the lid not being on properly. And the smallest thing of salsa. The corn was bland and barely any toppings. The meat was also bland with no seasoning. I would not recommend ordering from here to go! Waste of money!

Update, if you order to go and want queso...make sure you get the 10.99 one not the 7.99 one. The 7.99 one will give you a tiny cup of queso and the other one will give you what it really should be. Third time ordering tacos were medicore. I'll try the fajitas next time. The queso situation is just wild.

I've been to Agaves several times now and the food is always great in my opinion! They have a good selection of items. I usually get tacos or the Arroz Con Mariscos. Which is amazing. My only complaint was the staff can be a bit rude sometimes.

Loved the flavor

First time in Agaves. They have two entrances so I was confused where to meet hostess...maybe a sign on stand would help. Cute decor...I liked the spears. Very clean. Several TV's around bar playing various sports. I had read reviews but wanted to try for myself. I liked the salsa...good flavor and not too spicy hot. I'm not a Tex-Mex fan I'm more of a S. CA flavor lover. Chips typical. I ordered the lunch chimichanga with chicken. Service was fast. Chimichanga was stuffed full of white chicken. The salad with guacamole was fresh. My only complaint was the beans were lukewarm. The rest was delicious and I will stop in again.

Cucumber Margarita

The cucumber margarita is delicious!!!! We also had the chorizo queso and it was to die for. We don't get meals so I can't speak on that. Overall, a good atmosphere too. Bartender was attentive and very kind when we were there the day after Christmas.

Molcajete!

In May we went to Matador in Charleston, SC…read more We as a family love Happy Hours and we try and find different places to go and experience. This restaurant was not disappointing at all. They had a nice selection of drinks and food to choose from. Our server was very nice and she always came back to check on us. The atmosphere was cool. Nice restaurant with a nice bar area. The food was very good. Different but very tasty. The drinks were also very good.

I'm not even sure I'd call those booths. Somehow, they managed to make them less comfortable than the stools at the bar. We ordered three different tacos, and every single one was overwhelmingly spicy. Not the kind of heat that complements the flavor, but the kind that completely destroys it. At that point, I couldn't tell whether the spice was masking the flavor or hiding the fact that there wasn't any to begin with. Oddly enough, everything seemed to be missing salt, except the chips and salsa, which had plenty. Unfortunately, the chips were burnt, so even that was a disappointment. Three stars for the friendly service, decent drinks, and especially the fantastic hostess. As for the food, I'd rather taste what I'm eating than have my taste buds assaulted into submission.

I got the fajita steak platter. It comes with onions, peppers, and a roasted chili pepper, the tortillas she serves you are hot and in a little container it also comes with some rice, guac, lettuce, and limes, and then they have a chips and salsa bar, which has a green, medium, and a hot salsa along with some cilantro, limes, and pico de gallo. You have to come and eat here. The food is absolutely amazing the inside it's giving a feeling of wild West meets modern Day Mexican. I had a margarita and oh my God it's so strong and my dad had a beer. They cook on my steak fajitas is absolutely perfect. There is a great mix of fatty pieces versus medium pieces and a pair extremely well with the hot sauce from the salsa bar.

One thing I really appreciate is their QR code ordering system. You can order at your own pace, whether you're looking for a quick meal between shopping stops or want to settle in and enjoy a more relaxed dining experience. It's a simple system that makes the whole experience feel effortless. Our group's go-to order is the trio appetizer to share, followed by one or two tacos each. Everything is flavorful and just the right portion size, making it easy to mix and match different tacos each visit. Bartaco is almost always busy, so expect a 10-30 minute wait during peak times. Thankfully, with so many shops nearby, the wait goes by quickly and is well worth it. Between the convenient location, good food, and laid-back atmosphere, it's a spot we find ourselves coming back to again and again.

And you have to write your order on a sheet and if you need help you put up a card on the table then someone can assist you. But not like a regular restaurant where they check in on you. If it was your first time, it's definitely not like a regular restaurant. Atmosphere: had a bar and plenty of seating but they seemed to be very busy over the weekend. Open layout and clean. Food: hummus bowl, chicken tinga tacos, cauliflower taco. The chicken tinga tacos were incredibly good and had a smoky flavor. Cauliflower was a good vegetarian option.
