Each drink is built from fresh, house-made ingredients and all potent yet balanced on the palate. Many are rum-based but not all so there's some variety if rum isn't your thing. 3) Expert bartenders -- the fella who made my drinks knew his stuff and answered questions about the menu patiently without an ounce of attitude. The door downstairs was propped open, so that we had to pull it back to confirm it was the locker we were supposed to step through. No one confirmed our reservation upstairs and no password was requested. Our drinks were all tasty, but the cherry old fashioned was over-sweet. What was particularly disappointing about the experience was when I ordered a Black Manhattan for the second round I was told the bartender was new and only making drinks on the limited house menu. My second old fashioned was okay, but I was expecting a higher end experience overall.
