We walked in as soon as they opened so the dining room was nice and empty. We placed our order at the counter and waited for our food to be served to us. We ordered a Blackened Chicken Burrito and Chicken Flautas. The food was hot and fresh but the flavor was just ok. The flavor was actually bland and when I went to the hot sauce bar the sauces were super watery or super thick. So service was great and dining area clean/neat but the food was ehh. Best staff at this Millenia location! I was instantly greeted as the door swung open for me (like I was royalty) as I entered with my family. Menus were provided promptly so we have time to decide what to eat before ordering at the counter. The space is huge with plenty of seating, individual bathrooms with changing tables, decor all over the walls and hanging from the ceiling. There's so much to admire about Tijuana Flats and the customer service they provide here. We ordered a burrito bowl with the best citrus vinaigrette I have ever had! I dipped my chips and quesadilla in that vinaigrette; it was so flavorful and had the perfect amount of tart. The beef quesadilla hit the spot. The tortilla didn't get super soggy when you dipped into your favorite sauce. And OMG the SAUCE BAR!!! I guess I would have to return to take a photo of this magical sauce bar. I'm not one for spicy but they have a good range depending on how you're feeling. I'm a sucker for the sweet chili - I'm a sweet sauce girly (I know) but my husband loves to try the hot sauces and appreciates all the combos you can make by mixing them and personalizing your own sauce. You can't go wrong. The horchata was good but I'll ask next time to hold the whipped cream; in my opinion, the drink was perfect on its own. The manager was so kind to assist and round our tables to see if we needed anything. Stopped in for lunch after a quick stop at Academy Sports. Talk about great customer service and with a smile! The ladies working at the register took our order and delivered our food to our table. They even came around twice to ask if we needed refills or anything. This is the best service we have ever received at Tijuana Flats. We are regulars at Hunter's Creek and stop at O-Town West occasionally but they aren't nearly as friendly or clean inside the restaurant. This location was spotless and they picked up trays and wiped down tables in between customers. I didn't see one tray on a table like at other locations where they sit unattended throughout our meal. My favorite! Stopped in to have lunch today. My husband and I ordered the Queso Blanco Carnitas Chimichanga with chips! Ordered a Mango White Claw and a Modelo to drink. We order our son a kids chicken burrito with chips and applesauce with apple juice to drink! Service and food was great! I love the hot sauce bar they offer. If you don't like it too spice I recommend the "Smack My Ass and Call me Sally" it's a sweet and sour sauce! These places are hit or miss. This on is a hit. It's not five star Mexican food, but for fast food, it smokes Taco Bell any day of the week. I wish they had real salsas for their chips instead of the hot sauce bar. They're cute novelties, but the taste profiles work against the food. Coming from Canada, we found Tijuana Flats to be a treat! There aren't many quick Mexican or Tex-Mex options here in the GTA. When our local Florida friends suggested Tijuana Flats and expressed it to be way better than Chipotle, we had no idea what to expect - but they were definitely right! Tijuana Flats is a great, affordable option for Tex-Mex food with so many menu options. All the food was fresh, flavourful and the portions were huge in comparison. Between our group, we ordered a bowl, burrito, chimichanga, tacos, and queso with chips, and an order of the atom bombs. I would skip the atom bombs but everything was a hit! My tacos came loaded with shrimp and fresh toppings - I could barely finish, but you bet the next day I was craving more. After a long day at the parks, this was the perfect quick meal! Since I love Mexican I decided to check out this spot. The ambiance is eclectic. It's more Tex-Mex vs. traditional Mexican. I requested grilled onions in my quesadilla end was told they didn't have or grill onions. Yet the Classic Chimichanga came with grilled onions! It' definitely makes a difference for me! There are large portions but not very flavorful. The bathroom was also unavailable due to it being stopped up! I got in here and ordered a carnitas burrito with a side of guacamole. The food tasted very good but the burrito was way too wet. The last quarter of the burrito, the tortilla was soggy. But it tasted good to start out with. I liked that they had several sauces from mild to sweet and hot. The service was great, they were very helpful and accommodating. Very pricey for what you get. I ordered the Dos Taco meal with soft tortillas. When it is ordered this way it is no longer a taco because the tortilla is large for a burrito. I ordered the meal with rice and beans. After the food was delivered I had to go back in line because I didn't get the rice & beans. The soft drink machine wasn't working properly. There was hardly any chicken or ingredients in the taco/burritos to even taste. They do have lots of sauces to choose from. For the price we paid we could have eaten at a nice Mexican restaurant, before restaurant tip! No thank you. read more

Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 - 9/100. I was happy to see that a location was now near to where I lived and couldn't wait until they opened. I order the taco salad and the amazing trio of guacamole, salsa, nacho cheese and chips. As with all the location the food is fresh and tasty. The interior is pretty amazing and trendy. So freaking good!! I had driven by this place a few times just praying it would open soon, and a week after opening I was finally able to try it! You're greeted as soon as you enter by some of the happiest people you'll ever meet! They go over the menu with you, tell you how the whole process works and are available to answer any questions you may have. Pros: Hearty portions Fresh veggies Selection Customer service Cons: None! This place seems to be ran really well I love that you order, they take your name, and then bring your food to you once it's done. They will even refill your drink for you so you don't have to leave your food lol. It's located away from the hustle and bustle of Mall go Milennia and that's it's greatest feature- you won't sit in traffic and die trying to get there. It always seems to be busy, but the food is definitely why, it's so good! If you are afraid of spice, I recommend either the regular chicken or the steak--the blackened chicken is very spicy ! This is by far the worst Tijuana Flats location I have ever been to. If you look at my reviews of other locations, I have never given under 4 stars and have always had wonderful service and experiences. Unfortunately, this was not one of those times and I was EXTREMELY disappointed. Walking in, I was not greeted and already had the feeling that customer service was not a priority here. There were about 3 other tables occupied that were already eating their meals, and then me, who just walked in to order. So needless to say, it was fairly empty and not busy at all. I specifically came here because (1) I had an appointment downtown at 7:15 and knew that I would be able to eat dinner and make it on time; and (2) I just love Tijuana Flats and it's my go-to when wanting tacos. I ordered my meal and sat down. About 15 minutes went by and I still hadn't received my meal. I have never even waited 15 minutes at a busy location on a Taco Tuesday. I looked at the girl who took my order and then noticed her typing into the computer and printing a ticket and then bringing it back to the kitchen. She then came to me and said she didn't know why it was taking so long and that "the kitchen is sooo slow." I knew very well that my order never made it back to the kitchen and that's why she printed up my food ticket and brought it back. She told me my food would be right out... Another 15 minutes goes by (we are now at 30 minutes of being here after ordering) and I FINALLY get my food. But she put it in a to-go box when I wanted to eat it there. She looks at me and says "I can tell that you're mad." I told her that yes, I was mad because I just waited half an hour for food that should have come out within 10 minutes. And I am now going to be late to my appointment and can't spend time to sit here and enjoy my meal. I only ate the tacos and had to skip on my chips and queso. She then said "well, what do you want me to do about it?" I found that very rude and unprofessional. I responded with "I don't know" and waited for her to offer me a solution, which I personally think should be her responsibility and not mine. No solution was provided and she just walked away. I was unimpressed with my meal, as the chicken was covered in sauce which made my hard shell tacos soggy by the time I received them, which is the first time I've ever experienced soggy shells. And I can't comment on the queso, since I didn't even have time to eat it, however, the amount of chips I received in the to-go box was very minimal. I love Tijuana Flats, but I will absolutely never go back to this location again and stick to the other ones I've had amazing experiences at and customer service. read more

A group of us visited this location before hitting David's Bridal to shop for bridesmaid dresses. I enjoyed this location. It was not crowded when we got there so we all got to order quickly. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and helpful in taking our orders. Very quickly after we sat down our chips and dip came out hot and fresh. We enjoyed those and shortly after our food arrived. I had a quesadilla and taco and both were tasty and fresh. It was very filling so I had half a quesadilla left to take home. We were checked on several times and our drinks were refilled as needed. The restaurant was bright and clean. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and I'd return to this location again. read more

Had an online order here for pick up. First time in this location so didn't notice the pick up spot and waiting while two people were ordering in front of me. When I got there she told me next time to come up to the other counter so I didn't have to wait and could be assisted faster. I appreciated the information for my next visit. She was able to find my order in the system, but it was not ready yet and it was past my pick up time. She apologized and offered me a beverage while I waiting for my order. I thought that was a nice gesture. I waited about 5 additional minutes and my order was brought out. We had a mixed experience while visiting this location recently. My wife is gluten-free and I'm not. We found the associate taking our order to be very helpful and accommodating in providing an allergen menu as well as a nutritional chart. I ordered the Chimichanga, fried with steak as well as cheese topping. My wife had two corn, soft-shelled tacos with chicken and steak. She found her tacos to be flavorless, and the toppings such as lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and cheese were also bland. The Chimichanga was excellent and the steak flavorful. All sauces were excellent! We had not been to a TF's for many years and I had just remembered a better experience. The music was quite loud in all parts of the restaurant. Love Tijuana Flats, been going for over 10 years. This was my first time at this location however. All the decor was typical of a Tijuana Flats if you have ever been. Pictures of celebs and graffiti all over the walls and their traditional hot sauce bar. My favorite part about this location is it had an outdoor patio to eat on with tables, umbrellas and pretty string lights! I have only eaten the chicken chimichanga here, I love it... Try it! But that day I decided to try something new, bad mistake. I tried their new street tacos. Didn't like it at all, the fish taco (cod) was too salty and too much breading. The customer service was great but the place was empty and it took like 15 minutes to get our food which was a little disappointing. Other then that we had a good experience. Didn't know TF sold beer and wine, that is a plus! For cheap, tacos, nachos, quessodillas etc. Definitely come here. The fam and I wanted to check out this new located and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered until we left we were taken care of. What I thought was unique about this location is they offered to take your drink orders while you waited in line which I thought was super convenient. Tuesday's and Thursday's they typically have specials depending on locations, we had gone on a Thursday so it was $5 for a burrito + drink, which let's be honest you can't beat that deal. Everything tasted super fresh, service was fast, servers was SUPER friendly and willing to go above and beyond. The hot sauce varieties have remained consistent with wide assortment available (over 20) Opt for the chimichanga!! The lightly fried version of a burrito will not disappoint! The oil infused tortilla combined with generous portions of fillings makes this an amazing dish that you shouldn't pass up. The chips are hearty but light and perfectly seasoned.
