The furniture was only a small dresser, a small TV, 8 pieces of artwork, and 6 boxes. The moving squad was willing to work with me and actually saved me well over $100. They were fast, friendly, and showed up right on time. They packaged and padded everything and got my dad moved in record time. And the move was on a Saturday. At no point during our interactions with either of these entities were we dealt with honestly. Coastal Moving didn't tell us they were a broker, and then Plymouth didn't tell us that they were going to subcontract our move to some 101 Moving trucker which resulted in our items being loaded and unloaded MULTIPLE TIMES. Our stuff was wildly mishandled, damaged boxes, broken and stolen/lost items including an irreplaceable 100 yr old bench vise, and our contact Adam with Plymouth was a snake. Every promise or assurance he gave us went unfulfilled. He tried to tell me that his movers had this down to a science. Upon delivery, that science consisted of boxes torn to shreds, boxes loaded on their sides and upside down, and of course the previously mentioned stolen/lost goods. Then, when I brought this up to Adam he BLAMED ME for the movers stacking boxes on their sides and upside down. I must have over packed the boxes, he said, which is why they were sideways and upside down???? Absolutely pathetic customer service. We were also promised 4 movers at pickup and delivery and only 3 were at each location. Again, I was told this was my fault because I was promised 4 movers but then was told after the fact that a move averages 3-6 movers so 4 is in that range so what's the problem. Whatever you do, don't use Plymouth Van Lines for your move. You'll more than likely be lied to with vague assurances to string you along and then when you realize you've been treated terribly someone like Adam will blame you. Horrible, horrible experience.

Luckily when I reached out to my good friend who moved from CA to FL recommended JS Transportation, and had nothing but great things to say. It sounded too good to be true, but I took the leap of faith and met with Jessie. Jessie is the owner of JS Transportation, and frankly, was the breath of fresh air I needed. Jessie made the whole process much simpler, had great ideas to minimize space, and came in with a much more manageable price, without all the hidden fees and up charges that I found in the fine print of those other companies. Jessie is a straight shooter, and made me feel very comfortable. Him and his crew professionally packaged my big screen tvs, protected all of my art and frames, as well as all the furniture. They were quick, but also careful. When they finished packing the trailer and hit the road, Jessie provided me with his location on Whatsapp the entire way, as well as text updates to let me know that all of my belongings were safe and sound. They made it to my new home way faster than any other estimates that I received, and immediately began unloading when they arrived. The unloading process was even smoother, and the put all of my belongings exactly where we wanted them, even upstairs! They also offer assembly of certain items as well. He started by telling me he needed to pack the TV in boxes and would charge me extra. Which I replied to by telling him he can cover with a blanket and Saran Wrap, which he ended up doing. But not after arguing. I called my fiancé to come speak to them as I felt uncomfortable, my fiancé asked him about his attitude and comments, and he quickly retracted, saying he only gets paid $20 per hour. Why is this my business when I'm getting charged $85/hr? My fiancé then asked if he had any issues with the move that we could just cancel all together. Elmurod never replied, but they proceeded with the move. During the six hours they were there, Elmurod was constantly on his phone. They eventually called a third person to help them move. However, upon arriving at our new house, Elmurod said he couldn't move our couch upstairs, it had the same layout as our previous home. We asked Elmurod and the extra mover to try and move the couch, and the other guys said they would. Not only did Elmurod demanded us to pay each man a $50 tip, but he also wanted to be paid upfront, even though they hadn't completed the job. We asked Elmurod to please work on the couch as the final item to be moved. To our surprise, while we waited for them, they simply left and let our couch in the garage and other furniture with our door open. As well as a bunch of packing trash behind. When I contacted their manager I been getting the run around, I shared photos of damaged furniture and shared the additional $190 I had to pay to get our couch moved upstairs. Still no reply and no resolution. I will be filling a claim. Furthermore, our dining table and chair got damaged during the move, even though you pay additional for their insurance they won't honor it. They contacted me and refused to provide a refund for additional movers to complete the move of the left over furniture and also stated they wouldn't provide any money back due to me leaving a negative review.

She made the reservation in the morning, but the company did not reach out to schedule a time for our move the following day until after 8 PM that night. She did not see the message until later that evening and did not want to text them at an inappropriate hour, so she responded first thing the next morning around 7:30 AM with the time we were hoping to schedule. After that, they completely stopped responding despite multiple texts and phone calls. They finally responded around 9-10 hours later, only to say they were unavailable for the time we had requested. The message itself was also sarcastic and extremely unprofessional. There was no apology, no attempt to offer another time, and no acknowledgment of how badly their lack of communication had inconvenienced us. Because of this, my girlfriend and I ended up having to move everything into the apartment ourselves even though she had already paid for moving assistance. Instead of the company taking responsibility and refunding her for a service they never provided, she now has to dispute the charge through her credit card company. We completely understand that a specific requested time may not always be available. The problem was the complete lack of communication. If they had reached out earlier, responded to her calls or messages, or simply communicated professionally, we could have made other arrangements. Instead, we were left scrambling on moving day after believing we already had paid help arranged. The poor communication, lack of accountability, and unprofessional attitude made an already stressful moving day significantly worse.
