I met with the owner John who is a friendly, knowledgeable ex contractor and gracious enough to spend the time showing me all of my options, i.e., existing pre-cut stock of mantles on display, a full lumber yard with so many different species they could cut from or custom box beams that they could make from their large stock of lumber (even plugging in the end grain on both sides of the mantle). Heading back with my client today to pick one. Also, They make tons of other things such as beautiful custom tables out of large slabs just like the high-end shops you'd find on Cedros Ave. for a fraction of the cost.
