I highly recommend this business after receiving a positive result with my dog. Last year, I adopted a young, overly hyper and reactive young Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd. She is as big as a GSD but her personality is 100% Belgian Malinois. When I got her, she knew zero commands and attacked anything that moved. Before meeting Andy at dog pack training sessions, my pup had two different trainers: (1) 1.5 months of positive reinforcement training, and (2) a week session of corrective training for agression. But my dog required more work for her reactivity issues and leash pulling. After a doing a number of pack training/walking/agility sessions with Andy, I decided to use Tiggytastic for board and train. The difference in my pup's reactivity is amazing. I wish I had used Andy's board and train services much sooner. She is much more responsive to commands while on a leash and is able to be walked in the neighborhood without a muzzle. Squirrels or cats in the neighborhood no longer cause me terror on walks. I initially had a little trepidation about using a board and train service because my dog was a rescue but It worked out perfectly fine because Andy took good care of her while I went abroad on vacation. Wow, Andy is such a skilled trainer! We have worked with multiple dog training organizations and individual trainers over the years, and you can just tell when someone really knows what they're doing. We already saw change in our dog's behavior in the first session. Andy took the time to listen at the start of the session. Sometimes trainers make assumptions about the dog or about the owners, or they start teaching you basic skills that you're already doing. Andy asks all the right questions - are you comforable with this kind of collar? have you already tried XYZ strategy? Then, he quickly customized the session for exactly what our situation needed. We have a foster dog that the shelter categorized as "offessively aggresive", in addition to one of our own dogs at home who is dog reactive. We started the session with the foster dog solo, then started doing training exercises with the foster dog + our chillest dog. By the end, Andy managed to walk both the foster dog and our reactive dog within a short distance of each other. At no time did I feel like the dogs were being pushed too far or that the situation was unsafe. Andy has helped us so much with our dogs. Murphy (120lb Cane Corso) and Jelly Bean (60lb Bully) were still pretty rowdy after having them for almost a year, and the Bully was very reactive. For the past seven months, my two-year-old Golden Retriever (Zuma) and I have made going to Andy's obedience and agility training group classes a weekly routine. Andy is an awesome dog trainer. Andy is by far the best dog trainer you will ever find in the USA. We have 2 huge Leonbergers (140lb dogs) and have been thru 5-6 different trainers over the years but none compare to Andys insights, experience, and amazing results we have seen with our 2 current huge dogs. We started taking his agility classes which are a combo of training, socialization, and agility. Our dogs love it and we love it too....great exercise for all and real world socialization practice is fantastic. I have also used Andy for 1x1 training with my wild 140lb pup who has selective hearing among other issues. The sessions with Andy are really best in class and we are seeing fantastic improvements.
