Brown T5 black sugar boba tea latte with cream mousseXL

Reminds me of NYC. I'm so happy this is here in the Midwest. I love this place so much compared to other boba places. I really love their selection of drinks. The flavor is def there unlike other places. The brown sugar drink is soooo good. The service is always so nice and place is pretty quiet. The only downside for me would be the location. So difficult to find a parking. I hope they can open more locations sometime in the future!! :)

First time to Tiger Sugar. It was strange that they would have a self ordering stand and I was a little confused at first about ordering at the counter since the self ordering was at the front of the line. We did the self ordering. There's not much modification for the drink. The taro drink I had seemed like there's chunks of taro but after a few sips it just taste like powder. The mango drink was a little tart and not very sweet. I like the little chunks of mango. The paper straws are a little hard to drink from for little kids because they suck on the straw and then it doesn't keep its shape to drink through anymore.

Stopped at Tiger Sugar on a weekday afternoon. Fortunately got there right before a big rush of people. It was a little tough to understand the differences in the drinks and options from the signs, but the staff answered our questions. Ordered the original and it was only OK. Sweet and creamy, but it lacked any flavor depth - pretty much just tasted like milky brown sugar. I was hoping it would taste like what I tried in Taipei, but it was definitely missing something. And, there was an odd combination of larger boba and smaller pearls, which didn't go that well together. Not sure if I'll go back, but if so, I will be sure to ask for the boba only.

YES!! Honestly, I never understood why this place got so much recognition and hype when I've had other comparable brands! Heck, I even stood in line for 2 hours once for a different shop. This place really does a great job with their brown sugar boba! When I think of brown sugar milk all I can think of is the amount of sugar and sweetness that I am about to consume, but Tiger Sugar, while still sweet, I felt like they aren't reminding me to schedule a dentist appointment. I really enjoyed the mini boba mixed within the regular boba, there seems to be some sort of boba variation with every sip. They use horizon whole milk as their standard (my favorite milk), but you can definitely get a dairy alternative! If you aren't someone that likes milk products, they do have tea drinks as well! With tax they come to be about $6 a cup, which is pricey for the size, but it is worth every sip (even though I completely smashed this in like 5 minutes). I would definitely come back to try their other brown sugar drinks!

Best boba in town. They have good boba; trust me coming from somebody who calls LA my second home. I hope they can stay open (pretty empty for Saturday afternoon hours) although it is summertime and being at UofM area, I would think they have better traffic during school time.

This boba place is a treat! It's relatively new and my sister turned me on to it. It was delicious and the perfect cool drink for a warm afternoon! We got the No. 1 and it was pretty sweet, but otherwise the flavor of the drink and texture of the boba were both phenomenal! They didn't appear to have seating, but this was a great stop since we were in Dinkytown and wanted something cool to sip on as we walked around.

The flavors here seem really limiting but if you like coffee flavored and cream boba teas then this is a cool spot to check out. We tried the mango sago and black sugar boba w tiger jelly and cream mousse. I didn't find the mango sweet enough, but could be nice if you like your mango not as ripe and less sweet. You also get a larger drink going with mango. The black sugar one was definitely up my alley, so I enjoyed that. I think the tiger jelly's were too hard tho esp mixed with the soft pearls. Threw the textures off for me. Overall I would go back and try something else. Price is comparable to about anywhere else in the area. The one with pudding mixed in seems intriguing.

I've been wanting to try this place for so long but don't have one where I live. When I heard Minneapolis has one, I knew I had to try it. It definitely did not disappoint and was one of the best boba drinks I've ever had. I wish I could have gone back and got more! Highly highly recommend if you love boba.

This is a global chain but so glad to have this option in MN! Top two best bubble tea places in the area. I usually have gotten the classic brown sugar drink but opted for a black tea with cheese foam cap and no regrets! Utterly delicious and simple bliss- highly recommend! If you are looking for authentic Taiwanese/Asian flavors instead of watered down and overly sugary "gentrified" bubble tea - this is the place for you!

I'm normally not a brown sugar of person. Honestly? I've been pretty let down by it. I like the nuttiness and caramel taste of it, but often times, I feel like I'm one drink away from developing some Type II diabetes based on how sweet it is. Or, it doesn't even taste any different from regular boba that I'm confused as to whether I even ordered brown sugar boba. No more. Not with Tiger Sugar here. Not gonna lie, I did struggle a little deciphering the menu. Basically, it boils down to this. If you're going for brown sugar boba, there are an assortment of different options, that have slightly different variations - do you want pearls? Coffee? Pudding? Jelly? Chocolate? Pick whatever you like. There are some options that don't have brown sugar boba, but if you're coming here in the first place, why? Ordered just the classic brown sugar boba with creme mousse and pearls, and let me tell you - the hype lived up. The boba are actually in different sizes, which was kind of a textural delight, and the taste itself? I could actually taste brown sugar without it being overwhelmingly sweet. I would 100% go again.

Do you like sugar? Do you like dessert of any kind? Then make sure to visit Tiger Sugar!!! While the interior won't wow you, the drinks will! The flavors packs a punch that you'll beyond enjoy. You won't regret a visit here.

Matcha boba missing the cream mousse

Surprised to see Tiger Sugar in Minneapolis and it was a hot day. I first had Tiger Sugar in Taichung, Taiwan in 2018 and then in Hong Kong in 2019. Also had it in Houston, TX in 2021 and now in MN. Every Tiger Sugar should share the same formula and there is no adjustment to ice and sugar levels. Today, I had the matcha milk tea XL for $8.29. I usually get the #1 the signature brown sugar boba milk with cream mousse. The matcha isn't as creamy as #1 and the sweetness is definitely toned down. Bobas and pearls are sweet and chewy but the cream mousse was missing. While I'm an eco conscious individual, I'd hope they change the paper straw vendor because the straw was too short for an XL cup to stir to begin with. I had the drink for 5 minutes and the top of the straw got really soft on the top where it was hard to suck up the bobas. Poor material and design, IMO. Glad to see a familiar brand in MN.

The best bobba tea franchise yet to arrive in Twin City . Bravo ! It's about time , the real Taiwanese brand Bobba Tea Franchise comes to the city. Frankly it's the best so far. The tapioca Pearl is the best quality. The drinks are very very good , does not taste like some chemicals in it .

My go-to flavors are Uncle Grandpa, Uma Thurman, and Pineapple Lychee. Uncle Grandpa is comforting and rich, Uma Thurman is smooth and indulgent without being heavy, and Pineapple Lychee is bright, tropical, and incredibly refreshing. Even if you're not usually a sorbet person, this one converts people. What really says it all is this: Milkjam is the one ice cream shop I make a point to visit every single month. I don't do that with any other ice cream place. The quality is that consistent. The shop has a fun, welcoming vibe, the staff is great with samples and recommendations, and the rotating menu keeps things exciting. If you love ice cream and live in (or are visiting) the Twin Cities, Milkjam is non-negotiable.

Milkjam Creamery is a small but inviting ice cream shop right next to World Street Kitchen. From…read morethe moment we walked in, the staff was immediately very welcoming and kind. There was one group ahead of us, but that gave us time to look through the list of unique flavors they had to offer. Most of the flavors had goofy names that added an element of fun to the experience that I appreciated. With only one employee working at the time, we waited a couple of minutes before being helped, but it was very reasonably quick. Given the fact that a lot of the flavors were unique, we wanted to try a lot of them, especially because it was our first time. Each month, there are a few rotating flavors. This month featured a Valentine's chocolate lineup. I ended up trying five flavors and felt too guilty to try more. I honestly was not a fan of most of the flavors I tried. I expected to enjoy the PB vs Everybody (a peanut butter banana ice cream with oreo chunks), but the banana really threw me off. The Tru Luv (milk chocolate truffle with chocolate almond crunch, caramel chocolate fudge) also had a "weird" kind of chocolate flavor that I didn't really enjoy. In retrospect, I'm not really sure how to describe it. I ended up choosing the Lemon Drizzle Cake and Ridin' Duuurty (oreo milk with oreo chunks and salted peanut butter). The Lemon Drizzle Cake had a very pleasant textural contrast, and the lemon flavor was not too strong. It was just enough to come through without being bitter. As for the Ridin' Duuurty, I was actually very hesitant to pull the trigger on this flavor. Typically, cookies 'n cream is one of my favorite ice cream flavors, and I also tend to really like peanut butter-flavored sweets, so this seemed like it would be a no-brainer. But when I sampled it, the ice cream base tasted weird. It had "oreo milk", which I wasn't sure about, but definitely wasn't quite what I was expecting. I ended up going for this flavor just because I was pretty sure I would still enjoy the flavor of two components I typically love in my desserts. I was surprised to see I actually enjoyed it slightly more after the fact. The peanut butter comes as a little cube that I didn't really get in my sample bite, which definitely helped. As for the ice cream itself, it had a very nice consistency. The ice cream wasn't overly creamy, yet it was still very rich and smooth. Although Milkjam has a lot of unique flavors, all of them are on the sweeter side. Even the default vanilla flavors are "sweet cream" and have "sweetened condensed milks". Because of this, I don't think Milkjam would be everyone's cup of tea, but they have so many interesting flavors that are at least worth giving a shot. Scoops are on the pricier side, with single scoops starting at 6.50, jumping to 8.50 for a single split scoop, and 11.50 for a double. If I were to come back, I probably wouldn't get anything more than a single. Scoop sizes aren't very generous, and an additional two dollars for the split scoop definitely didn't feel worth it. Milkjam wouldn't be my first choice, but every once in a while, I would be happy to come back to try out their rotating flavors and give others a shot.
