actually i was planning to have sushi but when i parked my car i saw sushi place closed , i saw this Indian restaurant near by, i went there and the place is really neat and clean. i ordered lamb curry which is really delicious and tender. And the appetizer is really good.The guy whose name is subash served us food he took care us in a good way. I recommend other to try chicken chilly too. I have ordered from two Tiffin locations, Cherry Hill and Newtown Square. This restaurant chain simply does not offer authentic, fresh Indian food. Everything is pre-made. They don't use the traditional tandoori oven. And, the curries don't taste quite like what you will find at other popular Indian restaurants. Importantly, the prices are ridiculously high for very small portions. Everything they serve, you will find in the frozen section at any Indian grocery store, at a fraction of the price. read more

We have the $35 living social deal. We went on a Wednesday night-- the place was empty. The male working was very knowledgeable and helped us figure out what we wanted to try. We got the cauliflower and chili chicken appetizers. Cauliflower was delicious. We tried the garlic naan-- this I actually didn't like myself but my husband enjoyed it. For our meals I got the chick tikki masala and my husband got one of the lamb dishes. Mine was good. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his. Definitely worth the visit. read more

Disappointed with the taste and quality. Ordered Kaju Matter paneer and Paneer biryani. I found only one broken cashew in entire bowl of curry. I consoled myself that they would have crushed cashew into paste and added on curry. The worst and most disappointment part is Paneer Biryani. It's not Biryani they cooked rice in rice cooker and mixed with some chili paste and added some paneers. It's awful it's a mixed rice NOT at all qualifies to be called as Biryani and they charge $15 for it!? Hmm insane . I think that this could be a great deal for the $9 - $11 lunch special that they do but for dinner I found it to be a bit pricey and lackluster for the service and the quality of the food. They have an extensive menu and the flavors were good. I liked the coconut cauliflower appetizer and the Tandoori chicken and Sag Paneer were also adequate. I prefer the Saag paneer to be a bit more creamy and their's is dry but it was flavorful and the portion sizes were adequate. Without too many options for Indian this is a solid one - -I think that I have just been spoiled by curry row in New York City. This is a solid option for Indian and I certainly don't know better in Cherry Hill. read more

In an effort to climb out of the typical "lunch-rut" I stumbled upon Tiffin. I absolutely love Indian food, but find very few places that provide me with an authentic taste. Not Tiffin! To begin with, the staff was great. They answered all of my questions and even made recommendations. I watched several customers come in and be greated name- usually a good sign. Eh..... starting with the positive, the food was very flavorful, although the chicken in my tikka masala was rather tough. So bonus points for flavor, points off for texture. That out of the way they definitely had some issues. When I waked in the door the server was helping a takeout order guest, which is of course fine, but I was never acknowledged even after her 3 or 4 trips to the kitchen. I ended up just grabbing a menu off the counter and sitting down. Now I had seen on their online menu there was a meal for one option which was perfect for me, and honestly the reason I chose to go here. When I asked about it she said they had it and she would check if I could order it, to which she returned saying i could only order that for lunch or takeout (why???). There was a special on the table tent that was also only available for lunch. Pretty annoying, no wonder there were a bunch of takeout orders and only two seated customers. The server was otherwise pleasant but clearly inexperienced as she had trouble prioritizing efforts to customer satisfaction. So, would i return here again? Eh.... maybe for takeout. read more

When it comes to ordering takeout, I tend to lean to places with better websites (looks professional, easy navigation, easy checkout) and delivery. Tiffin from this perspective had improved quite a bit over the past months. The website is easy to order from. You choose your location then each food item has a description and photo which is very helpful. You can choose the spice level for every meal, which is nice. There are many specials as well, sometimes they are listed on the website, other times there are promo codes on their Facebook page or sent via email. I've been ordering from this location about every 2 weeks for the past 6 months or so, and the quality of food has been inconsistent. I like my food spicy, and even though I choose the same thing almost every time, sometimes the food has been bland and other times it's crazy spicy. Also, with the palak paneer, sometimes the spinach is a smooth puree, other times it's finely chopped. It's just not very consistent, and the quality seems to be diminishing. Usually when I order, it's for several friends... and they have also commented on the quality dropping as well. Also frustrating is the delivery. Sometimes delivery is quick (I live relatively close to the restaurant), and sometimes it can take over an hour. This last time, after placing my order online, I received a call stating that they don't delivery on Sundays. (even though I've had delivery on Sundays several times over the past few months.) No problem, I got to pick it up, but they wouldn't refund me for the pre-paid delivery tip that I had pre-paid online. They need to somehow be able to update the website to show when delivery is and is not available. I'm torn. There are several great Indian options near me, but I've always defaulted to Tiffin because of the easy to order website and delivery options. I'm afraid I may be looking to other options moving forward. read more

My girlfriend and I went to Tiffin last week. It was our first time here but it wasn't her first time eating Indian cuisine but it was mine. My concern was how spicy the food would be and if it would agree with me..well, the food was amazing. Large portions, 3 courses and I was thrilled with everything, particularly the small charm of the service and quaint surroundings. BYOB is permitted and we will be going back. Outstanding. We were two for lunch and, for some reason, we were the only people here. It's a holiday week in the summer, so maybe that's why because it certainly wasn't the food keeping people away. I had a Tiffin bowl chicken korma. Yum. It was plenty. And reasonable at $6. My friend had the regular size butter chicken with medium spice and chili naan. Yum. I couldn't try the naan but he assured me it was delicious (and unique). All items were marked if vegetarian and gluten free, which I really appreciate. It is annoying to have to ask about gluten. Next time we'll get three tiffin bowls and share. The tiffin bowls are $5 for veg $6 non veg. We will be back. read more

Another philly restaurant that's moved a location to south jersey. This Indian joint is in a little plaza that's somewhat hard to get into but finding a way in, is well worth it! This is some of the best Indian cuisine in the area. You have to try the chilli chicken appetizer. It was awesome. The chicken tikka masala had a slightly thicker sauce and was very flavorful. The actual place is small, maybe 8 tables but the decor and service was very good. Definitely four stars for food and it's in the neighborhood. read more

Upgrading from 3 star to 4 star based upon most recent visit. Used coupon but receieved service and high-quality food as expected. Tiffin need to be commended upon this consistency as a lot of rogue establishments use the coupons to lure people in then bait and switch. Tiffin is an interesting contributor to Cherry Hill and seems to be getting their act together. Its a new business and I definately recommend people try it out. Do note that this is westernized Indian though, so if you like regular Indian, you need to ask for extra-spicy here. One thing of note - their kheer (Indian rice-pudding) is very authentic - if you like all types of rice-pudding, you will be amazed by this and I strongly recomend (I'd add half a star more for the rice-pudding alone if I could). read more

We used to go the the Voorhees Tiffin and loved it. I was so disappointed when they closed. Coming here isn't worth the drive. I've ordered food from here three times and asked for no cilantro on my meal all three times. I really hate cilantro. All three times my biryiani or naan have had cilantro. I could understand if this wasn't possible, but the Voorhees location never messed up the order and I always got my meal without cilantro as ordered. I could overlook it if the place were busy, but it's been empty every time I've visited. read more

Tried this new location and ordered the Aloo Papri Chaat, Butter Chicken, Garlic and Cheese Naan. Not sure about it being very fresh and authentic, it was good food can't really complain about it.. Just like another reviewer, we ordered online and after 1hr20min with no sign of the delivery person, we called and were told they would not be delivering. Um, thanks? Our credit card had already been charged, and whoever answered the phone was able to read our order back to us (so they clearly got it). Despite that, we were told the delivery guy could not deliver it (no reason given as to why), and we would not be getting our food. The fact that we had to CALL to find that out after waiting almost an hour and a half is absurd. We had a great dinner at Tiffin tonight. I don't often get excited about cauliflower but the cauliflower bezule was amazing, so tasty and like nothing I've ever eaten before. The butter chicken was also delicious, the sauce was creamy and the chicken had an underlying smokiness. Our waiter Roshan was so polite and attentive and shared stories of his native Nepal. Honestly one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. My husband and I came late on a Sunday and had the Navratan Korma and the Dhaba Chicken. Both dishes were so flavorful and complex, with just the right amount of spice. The staff was sweet and attentive, and the food came out quickly. We had 2 people waiting on us, both were extremely friendly, helpful and kept an unobtrusive eye on us in case I even looked up, they were right there to ask if I needed anything. I used a living social deal for $35 we got 2 appetizers, 1naan (plus some free extra just because), 2 entrees, and 2 deserts. Very disappointed! Ordered take out on a Friday night using the website. Arrived at the restaurant, and host told us to give them some time. We waited for over an hour for food. Two other take out orders that arrived after us were served before us. When I mentioned that I was unhappy with the service, I was told the wait is never this long. The food was mediocre at best.
