All the staff are very friendly and helpful in completing my order. I ordered quite a few of the salads but the buffalo blue salad is my favorite as well as the broccoli cheddar soup, which is also on point. I was a customer who went to salad works 5 times a week. It's located next to my gym so every night after my workout I would get a salad. I did this for years. I loved it!!! But now after all the changes not only to the app but the prices they are lucky if I visit once every few months. Now protein is no longer included with your "creat your own" it's all extra. That's ridiculous. I used to pay 14$ now the same salad is almost 23$. The app no longer has the same point system and the points I had are no longer there. Why change something that didn't need changing? Don't fix what's not broken. You lost a customer who would spend almost 4,000 a year to now maybe 100$. Very disappointing. read more

Salad was good but definitely not worth the $15. I was looking for something refreshing to cool me off after a 90 degree day and it's just as hot in there as it is outside!! Due to the heat inside my salad was warm when it's usually flavorful and refreshing.They have two girls working there and I had to question if they even had AC. For older people like myself a cool place to eat is a necessity.These two girls were lovely even through the heat! Terrible. The Manager should be fired immediately. My Grandmom and I (African Americans) went in a couple of minutes ago. The line stacked up, and the Manager who was texting on her phone, refused to help us. I even asked if she could, she replied "im on register" and continued to text on her phone. Once we got tot the register, someone else helped us while the Manager went to the back. Once we left, we saw her go happily help two Caucasian customers behind us without hesitation. I'm never that guy to make this accusation, but it was obvious. Please check the cameras around 1:15pm and also ask the workers that were there. They were baffled and even chuckled and her actions as they were prideful and embarrassing to herself (The Manager) and the establishment. If she is a direct reflection of your company represents, then it's sad to see what Saladworks has become. Especially since I used to work at that same location when I was in high school. I used to get salad here at least once a week until a friend found a certain disgusting insect in her salad / this was a different store, but it turned my stomach. I waited quite some time before eating there again. When I did eat again, I was careful, and went through the salad before I ate. Unpleasantly surprised! I ordered the Cobb salad and maybe 3 to 4 small pieces of avocado in the entire thing. Normally you get about a half of an avocado. Not only did the salads jump up in price but they got considerably smaller overall. Also, no choice between white or wheat roll anymore. It is a honey oat roll which is tasty, but smaller than the old rolls. It's one thing to up the price but then take portion size away.... that's ridiculous! Not in a hurry to come back. read more

Fresh ingredients for a low price. Bad service and rude cashier. This is my first time coming here for salads and it'll probably be my last time. I ordered the 1/2 panini with a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and they made me a whole sandwich with no soup. Since the panini wasn't ready when I paid, the cashier told me that they will bring the sandwich to me. After 7 minutes of waiting for my sandwich, I went up to the skinny cashier with the bold frame glasses and asked her if it was ready. She answered me in an annoyed tone that it will be ready and brought to me. As it turns out, they never finished prepping my sandwich and it was sitting there waiting to be wrapped. I was pretty annoyed with the cashier's attitude more so than the person forgetting my soup. But either way, the three stars had nothing to do with the service and it all came from the panini. I got the avocado BLT which was creamy, savory, and crunchy. The bacon was crispy and savory (not limpy) and the lettuce was fresh. The avocado was perfect and the panini was crunchy. read more

This is the place if you're in the mood for bad customer service and overpriced salads. As several other reviewers have pointed out, this location has unpleasant staff and my experience wasn't great either. I ordered a salad that came with pasta and asked for a substitution for the pasta and was told I would have to pay extra. That's hardly fair if someone has a particular allergy and needs to swap out an item, the staff and restaurant should be more accommodating and respectful. I agreed to pay extra to swap out the toppings, but kindly asked for extra dressing. That's extra, too! An extra 70 cents for a tiny container of dressing! REALLY? I can buy bottled dressing at the grocery story for $1.50. When I complained about being nickel and dimed for every little thing, the cashier said that's just the boss's policy. The young girl who's the cashier had a poor attitude and very much customer-UNFRIENDLY. It's really a shame that the most memorable part of my experience is the poor service I received. After I went home with my salad, I barely enjoyed even eating it and I have little desire to return in the future. A bit of advice to Saladworks staff and management: a little goodwill towards customers can go a long way. But rude service will earn you poor reviews and forfeit future business. If they would have been a little kinder to me I'd be inclined to write something positive and return again. So I hope it was worth the extra $1.25 to swap out a topping and to stand their ground on paying for extra dressing. This Saladworks is a fairly new location. The Positive: This inside is super nice and clean looking. The choices in salads are just like any other Saladworks, and the ingredients look fresh. The Negative: I made the unusual (for me) choice of ordering my salad with the dressing mixed in, and it ended up having waaaay too much. Their salads seem to be more expensive than other locations (averaging about $10 each), and they don't have any fountain drinks-- only bottles. My lunch came out to about $13, which seemed to be too much for an overdressed salad and an iced tea. I probably won't go back. read more

I love that I can create my own salad and pick from their fresh toppings or pick one of their menu salads; the mandarin chicken salad with oranges, chicken, craisins, cucumbers, chow mein noodles and the farmhouse salad with turkey, roasted brussel sprouts, butternut squash, goat cheese, and pecans are my two favorite. I kind of hate this Saladworks. It was somewhat recently remodeled inside, and now the traffic flow is awkward. The place is never really busy enough to have the cafeteria line setup. There is no menu posted anywhere. Saladworks offers salad, paninis, wraps, fusion sandwiches, and a pick 2 option. The only food selections that are actually apparent here are the title salads and soups. Forget an explanation of the Create Your Own salad or pricing. Yeah, you won't fine prices anywhere either. I think perhaps at the end of the cafeteria line, you can read some laminated menus. At the end of the line. If this place WERE ever busy, a person unfamiliar with the Saladworks menu (like me) would --after figuring out the only place to read what is available is at the register, if she figured it out-- have to zigzag around before ever placing an order. Also, Saladworks is just not that great. The tomato bisque soup is pretty gross. Prices are not uuuuuuber terrible, but not particularly lovable either. The salads here are big, and FRESH and come with a fresh role! they have tons of options to choose from s far as toppings and you can make your own salad, or try one of their amazing creations! one of my favorites is the BUFFALO BLUE salad! I always take my salads to go I don't really care for te inside atmosphere unless you have someone to chit chat with otherwise there are no TV's or anything that really makes this a CAFE more like a cafeteria? The only complaints that I have are they are pricey... Ordered a Mediterranean salad with avocado added. Cashier didn't have proper cash to return me my change, so to help out I went back to my car to get a dollar that I would be returned a ten. When I returned my salad was already completed so I didn't watch to ensure that the avocado was added. I then retrieved my order and cash back. Headed back to work to have my lunch. Only to see that the avocado was not added. Not even a hint of it could be found. Called store was given the excuse that the avocado disappeared when added. Drove back and the manager was just as rude as she could be. Slammed my avocado in the salad. Mixed then said good luck finding the avocado with unnecessary hostility and rudeness. All I could do is laugh at how someone could be so unprofessional yet expect Customers to return when faced with such rudeness. I won't ever go back to that location nor saladworks period. read more

Unfortunately , I have had more poor experiences than good ones at this location. Examples: I place an order online for the convenience of not waiting, only to discover upon arrival, employees seen standing around joking, laughing and on their phones and my order not even started. In addition, I have become a bit of a "germaphobe" ever since I started working in healthcare and I have had at least 3 occasions in the last year including the height of flu season, where they were preparing my salad without gloves on! Each time, I asked them to put gloves on and that I wasn't going to eat whatever they were preparing without protection, not to mention cell phones are filthy and should not be anywhere near the service area. Each and every time, I was the recipient of a smirk , a sigh, a rude rolling of the eyes ... REALLY?! Was that so wrong to request safe handling of my food? The last time I was there, prior to my visit yesterday evening was one where I was very dissatisfied with barely there toppings with a ton of lettuce. Mind you, my order was light on the lettuce and shame on me for not realizing until I got home the opposite was the case. I called and spoke to a shift manager who was very apologetic and granted a refund plus free salad. Cut to last night , to retrieve my refund plus salad as was promised to me. I approached the worker (who barely made eye contact when I walked towards the counter), explained my situation with expectations that my wishes would be met with apologies. Instead was given an annoyed scowl and tone while questioning the validity of my ask and cutting me off in midsentence. Along with the way she began slamming together the salad with ingredients, I couldn't help but wonder if it made her really mad that I was getting a refund plus salad? Instead of saying, so sorry for any inconvenience what can I get you? It was as if Saladworks error was somehow my fault . She was so rude no matter how I tried to kill her with kindness as I thought that might change the attitude. It did not and shortly after getting my utensils for my takeout , I asked for the managers name and Miss Congeniality told me she didn't really know how to spell it. I asked for a business card. She told me there was no card. I asked when the manager was in again? " Kaitlin only works on "Monday's and Friday's" and that was the end of it. I left with a thank you and though my intent to call was strong , not sure it would make any difference. I felt so angry after this last exchange that I'm writing my first yelp review ever ! It is my observation that half of these employees need serious training on proper customer service etiquette . The kind that retains customers not repels them! Sad to say, more often than not the good employees who exhibit a sunny disposition and eagerness to please are few and far between . Its a shame, despite the upgrade and more modern feel to the restaurant's appearance, the poor customer service overshadows the surface appeal. I'm celiac. I told the girl making my salad that I'm celiac with a wheat allergy. Her next question should have been "what does that mean" but instead she asked me if I wanted any pasta. Then after she added spinach I happen to catch a crouton in my salad. When I tell her she pulls it out and is ready to continue making my salad. I had them make it in the back. At which point they forget to add what I asked for. In this day and age of allergies which can be severe why aren't people trained before they hit the food service lines? I love Saladworks! The staff is friendly and fast. I've never had to wait very long. The place is always clean too. They have lots of options to choose from if you are creating your own salad. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I've been going there weekly (this location as well as others) for most of the year and I just realized they had a loyalty card program! How have I never been told about it? Kind of a bummer considering I would have probably had multiple free salads by now. I am at Salad works off of Larchmont rd. In Mt. Laurel now with my son and my friend , they ordered salads , I wanted just soup , I was informed by the young lady at the counter that because they close in a half hour the warming machines are off so the soups are cold , I then asked if they had a microwave and was told no. I would think all the foods should be good to purchase up until the time of closing. If the soup was already cold a half hour before closing then the machines were turned off at least a half hour already before the last half hour of closing. If I was the owner I would not be happy with the workers shutting down before closing. I also never heard of a restaurant not having a microwave or it is just that the workers were too lazy to heat it up. I also want to add my son wanted sweet ice tea and was informed they shut the machine down , I thought the machine could not be shut down until the business was closed for the night. However this one has ZERO consistency it depends on who is working whether they make you an acceptable $9 salad or an appalling $9 salad that should be a $3 side salad. Today I ordered the new peach salad and asked how it was after the guy already started making it told me he didn't like it and the peaches weren't sweet. Great.
