Enjoyed an evening with friends who have little experience with Indian cuisine. We had samosas as the appetizer which were delicious. Chicken lababdar and the grilled chicken were also good choices to try for newbies. The only disappointment was the naan which was a bit dry and underwhelming. The menu is authentic so the waiter had to interpret the dishes for us. Most of us got Butter Chicken (very good) and I got something different (some kind of curry) and it was delicious and very spicy to be a 3 out of 5. At the end I noticed they had a buffet! I would have ordered that if I had known. The prices are not terrible. When I ordered I didn't think I would get enough food for my money but I did. I'm definitely going back. It wasn't the best I've had. I asked for their mildest and even that was pretty spicy. Theirs was $23. I can get better Vindaloo for much less at Aroma, Tiffin, and Palace of Asia. Buffet has a good spread of food as well with a mix of veg and non veg apps, curries and rice. Served with fresh naan or roti of your choice. I've long been a fan of Indian food but apart from Indie Blue, there are no others in the area that pique my interest. But that just changed: This is absolutely the tastiest Indian food I've ever had in a restaurant! We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, when they offer a Chef's tasting thali--a sampler feast originally served to royalty, presented on a thali (platter). You basically choose the protein dish, which is accompanied by rice, dal makhani, navratan karma, pindi chana, raita and your choice of naan or roti. Based on the advice of our helpful and attentive server, I chose shrimp makhani as the protein. My wife chose the vegan and gluten free gobhi aloo--cauliflower, peas, & potatoes stir fried and tossed in a blend or turmeric. cilantro, and chill powder. Our orders came out quickly and everything was served in a ring of small dishes (see picture), where you can pick and choose what you want. I started with the shrimp makhani and was astounded by the depth and complexity of flavors in the sauce. My wife loved her vegan/gluten-free dish. And I was similarly impressed as I sampled every one of the other accompaniments. Truly an incredible meal and we will be going back very soon! read more

What a cool spot! Really enjoyed having dinner at Naan in Moorestown! Don't let the mall fool you, the space is actually quite nice and while the restaurant was busy we were able to get a table on Saturday night. Our server was amazing; she was very friendly and detailed in recommending dishes and appetizers from the menu. We enjoyed the chicken Tikka masala and saag paneer dishes with rice and naan bread. Our food was delicious! The indoor gold and blue accents really elevate the vibe of the restaurant and its a great spot for a date night. I definitely recommend giving this place a try! read more

The thali was a choice to try different small dishes of everything but I have to say the portion was very small for what it was. For those that are unsure about Indian cuisine, this alis a great spot to try. They have lunchtime tasting menus and on some holidays they offer a buffet! This is what I opted for and was able to sample the many wonderful delicious delights that naan has to offer. Great tea offerings as well. The food was very flavorful and the naan was delicious. Well, gather 'round, Yelpers, I've got some bad news for you... This was not good Indian food. I know, I know, it's new and so many have given glowing reviews. I'm no expert but I have eaten at dozens of Indian restaurants around the country and while the flavors are not the worst they are certainly at the bottom of the list. Add in the high price for the quantity provided and I had to take off another star. The restaurant is shiny and new. Really quite beautiful inside but all that glitters is not gold, as the saying goes. My fiancé and I ordered Palak Paneer (spice level 1), Chicken Makhani (spice level 4) and Lasooni Gobi (spice level 1). The Lasooni Gobi was just okay. It was a very small portion for the $10 price tag. The spice level was accurate, it really had no spice to it. The flavor was a bit vinegary with some garlic and ginger. It we try this restaurant again we would definitely order something different to try. My fiancé was satisfied with the Makhani and felt the spice level of 4 was accurate. He thought the quality of chicken was good and all the flavors were there. Portion was good for this item. My Palak did not seem to be a level 1 as far as spice level. While I enjoy spicy food I wasn't exactly in the mood for it when we ordered. I felt is was a bit closer to a medium spice level. It was flavorful but with a strange flavor I am not familiar with in Indian food. The spice used to create the spice level did not taste good to me. Also, the texture of the dish was not as smooth as I am used to having it. It almost had a grainy type texture. I was quite disappointed. Portion was okay for this item. For these 2 main dishes and 1 appetizer the bill was $50. I think it's a bit high for the quality and quantity of food, to be honest. While we were in no way thrilled with the food on our first visit we will return to try some more dishes before deciding if this is just not the place for us. There are much better tasting Indian food restaurants nearby that we prefer. Overall, give them a try but be prepared for some disappointment. read more

First, I want to start off by saying. I love Indian food and am always open to trying out new places. My typical go to places in the South Jersey area has been Palace of Asia and Coriander so when this place popped up; I was excited to give it a try. So my first order, I did take out through Grubhub and was terribly disappointed with the quality of the food. My chicken vindaloo was watery and I am not sure what I was tasting when I tried chicken lababdar (chicken was for both dishes were overly chewy). The garlic naan was subpar. Side note, the food was delivered in a timely manner which was the only plus. The quality and presentation of the food left much to be desired. For the cost of an entree @ $20 plus per plate, I expected better quality and not that of food served in a high school cafeteria. Simply put, I was appalled that the quality of food for to go orders are being sent out without the checks and balance representative of what people who dine have said in other yelp reviews that this place served solid Indian cuisine. So my question is, why the inconsistency? A person ordering to go is paying the same premium for entrees and thus should receive the same quality as patrons who dine in. Order from Coriander or Palace of Asia. Don't throw away $70 for absolutely subpar food unless you are willing to dine in and roll the dice that perhaps you just might get a better culinary experience. One final note, when I called into the restaurant to request a refund, the staff was more than willing to help and agreed to a refund. On the customer service side, this place seems to have hired the right people. I did really appreciate the quick response. Essentially, Grubhub did issue a full refund. Hopefully with some feedback from people like myself who generally order take out versus dining in, they will take this into consideration and make food consistently good across the board for both people dining in and those who order take out. I support local and small businesses and I truly wish this establishment the best and that they find the proper balance in serving quality food to both take out orders and dine ins. read more

We made reservations for Naan on a Sunday night at 6:30. There weren't many people there but it slowly filled up as we sat. First impressions upon entering the restaurant was how cool the decor was. I loved the contrast of deep blue and gold. It was very visually appealing. The hostess and our waitress were both very friendly. I started with a chamomile tea that was lovely. The restaurant is BYOB which we forgot about but will definitely keep in mind for next time. For our meal, we shared the chicken madras and lamb vindaloo, both with a spice level of 3. You can adjust the spice level according to your preference. It comes with basmati rice. We also shared a garlic naan and a goat cheese naan, and got a side of the cucumber raita. The meal was great. From start to finish (and left overs for lunch the next day!). The spice level was perfect (we like our food pretty spicy), the meats were tender, there was plenty of sauce that was rich in flavor.
