It was fabulous, spicy but not too hot, rich in flavor, tender pieces of chicken, crispy and crunchy when it needed to be and based on the other clientele I would say totally authentic.

The variety of the menu was honestly very impressive, with even seafood curries to choose from. Specifically the Garlic Butter Naan was so much more crispy and flavorful here than I've ever had before. Warning for spice lovers: I got their curry in medium spice and it was extremely mild (definitely dulled down spice for Western tolerances, but I can't even handle that much and found it too mild). The server was correct when they told me it was mild. I'd go straight for Spicy level if you normally tolerate medium well. I love Indian food myself, and am hoping he will come to love it too. My girlfriend, son and I came in on a Sunday for dinner. All three of us got the buffet, with no extras like mango lassis or garlic naan. For the three of us, including tax and tip, it cost $66.78. That got us a spread of basic Indian dishes like chicken tikka, vegetable korma, palak paneer, rice, naan, two soups, and a variety of fruits, among other things. The goat curry was absolutely outstanding to me - tender and flavorful. The other dishes were decent but nothing special. I'm glad to say my son enjoyed the tikka and the korma. The man in charge was super friendly and attentive, constantly checking on us for water and to clear any plates. Overall we enjoyed it and would come back.

Human beings are funny that way. So for Father's Day, my wife booked a table for six at Mount Masala in Voorhees. This turned out to be an act of touching optimism. When we arrived on a Saturday night, only three other tables were occupied. We could have brought a small marching band and sat immediately. Still, the staff was warm, the room was pleasant, and we decided to order family style. Civilization occasionally gets things right. The sizzling chicken momo arrived first, hissing and steaming like a diva. Sadly, the spectacle outperformed the substance; it was essentially good food wearing a sequined jacket. The chicken tikka momo, however, was outstanding. They were tender dumplings smothered in a sweet, familiar tikka sauce that my boys attacked with an enthusiasm usually reserved for free money. My youngest ordered the chicken makai soup and delivered a concise, pro-level critique: "It's fine." My oldest enjoyed his tofu Manchurian, though his eyes kept wandering to better plates. The beef skinny noodles and chicken Hakku Bakku chowmein were massive and well-made, but they lacked personality. The chowmein tasted like a very good lo mein. Nothing wrong with that, just predictable. The undisputed star was the chicken choyla. It was smoky, spicy, and rich with mustard oil. If the other dishes were polite small talk, the choyla was the eccentric guest telling stories nobody had ever heard before. Everyone at the table kept reaching for it. As for the service, the staff was incredibly friendly but possessed a unique talent for vanishing. Despite the empty room, refilling water and securing extra napkins became a minor side-quest. But then the bill arrived: $120 for six people. These days, taking the family out can feel like financing a small yacht, so this felt like a genuine bargain. Mount Masala isn't perfect, but it's memorable. The choyla and the tikka momos gave me exactly what I've been hunting for: flavors that are unfamiliar, exciting, and well worth getting to know.

The lady at the counter seemed like she was being forced to work and didn't know how to greet or even smile . We placed our order for 2 halwa pooris and were told to sit down . During our wait , no one came by with water or anything. So we just waited patiently. After a while she comes by with salad , yoghurt n chutney . She also brings our food but all the pooris were over fried and were hard to chew on . I went up to the counter to let her know and she was not a bit apologetic or accommodating but instead said pooris are this way . I told her pooris should be soft in texture and not hard by the sides and dark brown in color- they are over fried . She groaned and frowned and said ok - I'll send more. She came by with pooris and literally threw them on the table without uttering a word . We were appalled. We have never had such bad customer service dining out at a restaurant before . The lady was a grouch to begin with . An absolute joke! What's annoying is that she went on to charge us not only for the first set of burnt pooris but also for the replacement despite us saying that this was totally wrong of her . Also , please note that there is an orange highlighted sign by the counter stating that this place has - conditionally satisfied health practices - I didn't see that until after we left .
