Came in on a Saturday afternoon with my sister and nieces. Nimit has cute decor and is very clean. Ordered the chicken korma and chicken tikka masala lunch special. The fam was very happy with their food selections as well. Our server, Carlos, was very attentive and polite. Prior to my experience with this place I was very hesitant to try Indian food for reasons I will not share. But now everything has changed. I got my self some butter chicken and gah damn was it some butter. Jawn was so good I had to lie down on my floor and make sure I wasn't dreaming. From the moment we walked in we were given exceptional service. The environment is so clean and welcoming and the staff are very intimate and polite. They made sure to take care of our every need. The food was amazing! Definitely will be back and I encourage anyone trying Indian food for the first time or just plain Indian food lovers to visit this restaurant ! Just beware start with mild not medium because this food is spicy but sooo delicious. The only item that was not a fan favorite is the Yellow Dal Tadka (Lentil). Not pictured is the simosa chaat and vegetable simosa chaat. Both were amazing. I cannot express enough how amazing the service was! We love it here. read more

Literally everything is worse here than their original location. The quality and taste of food is worse, their food takes so much longer. Sometimes, the food comes out and it's barely even warm. They always claim to be so busy here when there is literally one person in the restaurant and maybe 3-5 takeout orders in an hour. In what world is that busy?? Would highly recommend Voorhees location but we avoid this one if at all possible. read more

Awesome new location, same great food! I've been going to Nimit for years at their location on White Horse Rd. Tonight was the first time at their new location on the White Horse Pike. Food and service was great as always and I was very happy to see the same management team there tonight. They always make you feel welcome! This is a great place to bring a couple of bottles of wine and your best friends. You are never rushed through dinner and we've closed the place on more than one occasion. There are a lot of good Indian restaurants in this area, but Nimit is definitely the best! read more

A very nice dining room and welcoming staff! We enjoyed a sizeable lunch that was more than filling and at a very reasonable price! For starters, we tried the vegetable samosas, which were large freshly fried with sauces. Our lunches included a choice of two meats and two vegetables with rice and a healthy helping of bubbly naan bread. The chicken tikka masala and chicken korma; both authentic recipes with unique vibrance of indian spices. They were absolutely delicious and a perefect pairing with naan. In addition, we tried dal makhani and baingan bhartha. The dal makhani was a savory option and the rice a perfect compliment to absorb the broth and enjoy with naan. The baingan was a little sweet for me, but still very delicious! I'm looking forward to my next visit to try more dishes! read more

Their food is great but website is misleading. It says they deliver. We placed and order and it looked mike things were going ok. After an hour, I called and they said the website doesn't work. They didn't have our order. They suggested using DoorDash. This business has been open for several years. My fiancé and I stopped in here on a whim, having heard they moved location. The food here is authentic and DELICIOUS. The chicken tikka was so tender, and the garlic naan was fluffy and fresh. The staff is so friendly! They care about the quality of your experience. The restaurant itself is super comfy and bright. Great place great food service lacks but food makes up for the service small place to eat

Have ordered naan, malai kofta, and chicken tikka (through Uber eats). Chicken tikka showed chicken tikka masala as a picture but we received the chicken tikka dry. We called to fix this mistake and they handled it with some issue but in the end fixed the mistake. Food tasted good- spice levels were perfect portions were smaller than what I expected. I'm used to many Indian places serving onions on the side with most entrees but have to ask for it here. Have also tried their chicken lollipops which were flavorful and their vegetable manchurians (you get 6 small pieces with the order). Food was very good. read more

I could live off the chicken tikka masala and meat samosas. Masala had the perfect amount of spice. I've ordered it mild to literal fire and it's been on point every time. Don't sleep on the paneer either. Honestly, I'm probably going to end up ordering one of everything from here at some point and pound heartburn medicine for a week but it's worth it. We came in with high hopes but was met with really poor customer service. We ordered chicken lollipop and was told they don't have that item, instead they gave us chicken tandoori drumsticks. Then, we ordered malai kebab as an entree item, but it didn't come out with any sides and no other food in sight. We also ordered lamb chops, not a single lamb chop, more like cooked lamb curry bathing in gravy that was not anywhere close to lamb chops. It said on the menu that it had 4 pieces but how can you tell how many pieces of lamb there are if it's all cut up? This was a very disappointing dish. We ordered butter chicken, we got chicken tikka masala. To make matters worse, their "register was broken". And they wrote up a paper bill with every item up charged by $1 to $2. This was the icing on the cake. Luckily we had a copy of their hard menu to refer the pricing to. When we tried to argue it, the manager tried to show us their paper menu which is not the same as their hard menu. Will not be returning here and I don't recommend this place mainly because their service is below par. I really hope they figure out how to provide better customer service in the near future. read more

Alright here we go!! These people clearly don't know how to treat women properly. I was there couple of weeks back with my friends and saw that partiality in treatment. Was a little taken a back by this fu**** up mentality from them (I mean we are in 21st century come on!!) Food is SO SO; nothing special I would still prefer other Indian restaurants or some ready to cook packets over their food; quantity was smaller for the price (aka heavily over priced; I have been to other restaurants in north jersey and philly where you get good bang for the buck). Restaurant is not that busy during weekdays but in the weekends does get busy understandably; BUT when you are running a business I think it is absolutely inappropriate to rush customers when they are eating food or finishing their meal (Afterall we have paid for food and deserve full treatment for it as a customer). Won't be going back again. They should learn from their mistakes and learn how to improve their service based on the feedback. I am glad we have a medium like Yelp where we can add comments and give them constructive criticism so that they improve their restaurant provided that they have the capacity to learn from it which does not look like to me in this case!!! -Jen R. read more

My grandmother and I came here my birthday weekend and it was like finding a gem! The ambiance was clean, open and warm. The customer service and attention we received was on-going and very pleasant. This review is for the new location on white horse pike. I was very excited to visit this restaurant, grande opening, because I love Indian food. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience and probably won't visit again. My husband, 7 yr old daughter and myself went for dinner around 7:30 pm on Friday night. The service was HORRIBLE! All of the tables were filled with dirty dishes and no one even greeted us when we came it. Finally sat down to a clear stable after about 20 min. They seemed to be short staffed with only two people dealing with dining customers, people ordering take out and phone orders. They were running around like chickens to say the least. We were given water and then scopes the menu for about another 10 minutes no one every came to say anything! The topper was when one couple came in well after we had been there a while, sat right down and were given an appetizer right away! Then the guy went to take their order before ever coming back to us! The best thing that we could do was walk out!!! Very disappointed because we heard good news! Not for us, we won't go back. Had to find food elsewhere for our daughter that was the sad part. read more

Everyone on staff is friendly and working hard, whether it's waiting on a table or handling take-out. No idea what other reviewers are talking about -- I'm female, have always been treated as a valued customer, and have always seen the place clean and the food fresh and hot. There are always larger groups of folks dining here and they always seem very happy with their meals. Ive even eaten their buffet lunch and enjoyed the fresh and diverse selections. I've had some of my most favorite Indian dishes here. The decor is sparse but clean and bright. I love that you get your own carafe of water at the table; perhaps some ice in it would keep it colder the entire visit. read more

Went here with my extended family. They accommodated the large party easily. We started with a few appetizers, of which the chaats were the best, though everything else was tasty as well.
