I usually see Lily who does a great job and is very gentle. This time that I went, she was really busy so a different woman took me. I came in to have my acrylic set removed and get a new set. Immediately, she was very rough and started using both her nail and a plastic acrylic nail to try to pry off the set I had on. I told her it was hurting me and I kept flinching and pulling my hands back a bit. She would just keep grabbing my fingers and twisting them in uncomfortable positions to get the acrylics off. I have never walked out of an appointment anywhere but I was so close to. When she finally got all the nails off, I could see that along with the act set, she also took off a good amount of my natural nail. They felt brittle and tender. Throughout the appointment, she was rough and I was very uncomfortable the entire time. She must have cut me multiple places while taking my old set off because when she used acetone, applied polish, or put my nails under the UV light, it stung and burned. I honestly don't know what kept me in that chair, too nervous to tell her how upset and in pain I was. I don't think I will go back here. It's hard to book with the nail tech that you like because they usually just have whoever is currently available do your nails. The set turned out alright, not the shape or quite the design I wanted but oh well. It was $75 to remove my old acrylic set and do a new one. read more

When she asked what service I wanted, she was so nice that I did level up the service by $10. However, I must say that the leg massage I receive at another nail salon in Capitola (same price) is much better. However, one of my other friends was not pleased with the repeated attempts to upsell her after she clearly stated what she was there for. Additionally, my other friend felt that her pedicurist took additional money from her hand when she was paying, far more than the service + tip totaled. I've had my nails done here on and off over the course of about 7 years now and I've been ok with their service up until this past Monday. I went in for a fill, the place was empty, the two ladies working were very nice, but extremely pushy! They insisted for a pedi because they had had only 3 customers the entire day so I said sure why not! I sat down in the pedi chairs and both ladies started working on me right away, but they were pushing me to get a very expensive pedi, eyebrow wax, upper lip wax, and nail designs! I was so annoyed! I went in originally for just a fill and to be nice I agreed to a pedi, but now they were insisting on adding on other things which I kept repeating no thanks I'm ok, this was very unpleasant! I picked the pedi that's $55 and a fill! I was charged $105 for just that, plus their cash tip! I felt so robbed but I was so irritated with everything that I let it go! My nails ultimately came out cute put I'm now on the third day and my pedi is already chipped! I had gotten this service here before and was charged under $100 for sure! I came here because my normal salon was busy and I really needed to remove an old gel manicure. I booked an appointment online which was nice. A gel removal + regular manicure was supposed to be $25 according to their website. The gal I had was super fast, which can be good I guess, but some nails are uneven in shape and length, plus she went a little hard and made me bleed on my right hand. Massage was only about 45 seconds long, too. When I go to pay, they ask for $35! So beware, prices are mismatched online. Overall, wouldn't recommend this place unless you're in a rush. read more
