They made me feel right at home, and the whole visit felt like a luxury experience. I got a luxury deluxe pedicure and manicure, and they really took their time. The pedicure included a warm soak, detailed nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, a deep scrub, paraffin wax, lotion, and a long, relaxing leg and foot massage. I literally fell asleep. They finished with hot towels and perfect French tips. For my manicure, they were just as detailed; perfect shaping, clean cuticles, and a flawless French tip. The hand and arm massage was also amazing and not rushed at all. What I loved most is they all worked on me at the same time, so I could fully relax while still getting top-quality service. They kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable and happy. You can tell they truly care about their work, everything felt high-end and done with intention. Pros- they take their time and are fairly clean. Cons- They are extremely pushy, won't take no for an answer when it comes to upgrading your service to the most expensive options, and the last time I was there, the nail tech pulled me aside to tell me the manager withholds tips from the techs and not to give her any tip money for our services. I felt extremely uncomfortable and was not sure what to do. I paid the manager for our three services, and tipped the two techs only- even through the two techs and the manager worked on us. I hope the techs are safe and okay. This was a very weird experience to be in and I still don't know what to think. I shared this information with a local friend, who said this is a clear sign of human trafficking- which she is trained in. I'm not sure what to think. I didn't report them, but I won't be back. Debating if I should do more to ensure the safety of the employees. read more

The service was okay, the salon was clean, and the location was convenient. Those are not the reasons I'm leaving a two-star review. My issue was the unexpected cost. I should have asked about the price of the additional services beforehand, but I was surprised to be charged nearly $300 for a manicure and pedicure for myself and a child. Perhaps some of the extra cost was due to the nail art for the child, but my service was a standard manicure with regular polish--not gel. It's a learning experience, and unfortunately, it's not one that will bring me back. My suggestion to the salon is to be more transparent about pricing and clearly communicate costs before services are performed so customers can make informed decisions. read more

I've been to Ocean Paradise three or four times before and it was always a pleasant experience. However, the last time 2 days ago was very disappointing. My pedicure was very rushed, the massage (more of a distracted skin rub) was interrupted halfway through to fill another customers foot soak and when I pointed out some flaws at the end, I was told that was only the paraffin drying. however, I ended up with a subpar gel pedicure because the cuticles were not properly cleaned up or pushed down, and the uneven edges were not cleaned up at the end. I think this was partially due to their taking on too many customers instead of asking people to come back later or make an appointment. There were only two ladies but four customers being worked on with another two waiting. I will probably take my business elsewhere. read more

It made the entire visit over 2 hours long when it would have been an hour which is a lot. I make appointments for a reason, because I need my time to be respected as a busy mom. I had a nice experience here last week. I called for a pedicure appointment for the next day and no waiting when I arrived. The nail tech spent time doing the cuticles, scrubbing and smoothing my nails. Cut and filed them as asked. I didnt want to leave a low star review as I dont want to negatively affect anyone's business. I went in to get a pedicure. After I picked my color I went to sit down and she was filling the tub with water. I was looking at that tub of water and I just couldnt do it. Maybe it was clean but it didnt feel that way. I knew if I declined to proceed they would flip out. So, quietly as possible I put my nail polish back and went out the door. I made it to my car and was inside before they came out yelling. I said no thank you no thank you as they were right up against my passenger door repeatedly tapping on the glass. One left and the older lady swooped in and started tapping on the glass kind of yelling what happend?!. Like I said, I knew they would flip out if I declined to proceed, so I tried to avoid it. I called ahead and made an appointment for 1pm today. I showed up on time, and was told to pick a color as soon as I walked in the door. I picked my color and sat in the pedicure chair as instructed and that's about it. I sat there for 25 minutes and was completely ignored. I looked around at the other people getting serviced, and it was clear no one was going to be free to help me for at least another 15 minutes so I got up and left. It especially bothered me that same lady who told me to pick a color, started working on a manicure on someone who came in after me. She also kept saying "Sit down honey", as I gathered my things to get up and leave but if they really wanted my business they should of been honest and just told me to come at a later time. I was in Aptos for a holiday and broke a nail. I stopped by to get a fix and a fill. They did a great job, maybe a little too much glue for me. But they came out good I even got an extra design. Place it self is a little dark and a bit over run with fake flowers and greenery but that's just aesthetics. People were friendly. Over all a positive experience. read more

This is my go-to salon if I need a great manicure or pedicure! The staff are all SO friendly and fun, they take walk ins for certain services (always have time to give me a pedicure even if it's busy) they have a great color selection, good pricing, nice pedicure options, and the atmosphere is very clean and relaxing. I've had both manicures and pedicures done here and I am always happy with the results. If you want a nice relaxing self care day by the beach this is the spot. I wanted to try somewhere new and got a gel pedicure here two weeks ago, they weren't fully cured and the same day I got home the polish was smeared off on both of my big toes. I had a flight early the next day and my toes looked horrible my whole vacation. I haven't had time to come back and get them fixed so it's been $65 down the drain. I also asked the woman not to cut my nails and only to file because I get ingrowns, she agreed and then while trimming my cuticles she snuck in and cut both toe nails on the inside crease exactly where I didn't want her to. I'm not one to leave a review, but I just moved out here and have been looking for a new place to get my nails done. This shop had good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. Honestly ladies are soo nice and welcoming, but they do not know what they are doing. I asked for a simple French tip and the lady was struggling to do it. Not very sanitary either.. she was using her nail to clean up the BUILDER GEL. Also, for my pedicure the lady missed a lot of steps and coated my nail 4 times. Not to mention I was here for 3 hours. This is the first time I have had a bad experience at any salon. No I was not satisfied. The lady kept asking me if it looked good the whole time that I was there, I just didn't say anything because it had to get done. I was just counting down the time to leave. And before I left they charged me $135! I said I was not going to pay that much for a horrible service I was not satisfied with, but I did any way. Just never coming back here again! read more

Never do these reviews, but was very frustrated with my experience. Went to ocean paradise with my daughter after my main salon was closed for the evening. They were pleasant, but took Advantage of me by charging nearly $100 for my 6 year old daughter's nails and toes! Not including mine. So random but I found a wallet while walking into the salon. I was distracted trying to figure out the owner of it. They asked if she wanted a sticker on her nail. I said sure not realizing they were putting one on every finger! While I was doing a good deed contacting and coordinating pick up of this guys wallet I was being taken advantage of and totally up-charged by something we didn't even want. I will never return and I advise you to be careful with services and pricing at this salon. What I was hoping would be a fun Saturday date night with my daughter turned out to be extremely annoying. Excellent service! The nail technicians are incredibly talented and professional, and made me feel welcome. The salon has a relaxing vibe with the flower decor, gentle music and massage chairs. I got a pedicure and mani with acrylics and am so pleased with the results. I also did an upper lip wax and it was quick and thorough. I love this salon! I started coming here a few months ago when they re-opened under the new staff. It's clean, bright, and the staff is very welcoming. I typically make an appointment for my pedicure or wax but they accept walk-ins and the wait isn't very long.
