Eyebrow waxing was a fail. Both eyebrows looked good, but they did not look the same! The owner was chatting away and then suddenly looked at me funny and asked if I wanted my brows thinner. I said that was okay and I suppose she tried to fix it but she failed. I didn't notice until I was home. Ah well, eyebrows grow back so no real harm done. But won't go back. On another note, the owner actively dissed the person who previously did my brows, which is unprofessional. Especially since they did a much better job than she did! read more

Enh , she seems like it's gonna be really good Then she would not do the brow shape and thinness that I want, for my professional stage look . For my Career ! She just won't . She stopped when she liked what she wanted to do . I also got my second spray tan of my life, she's inexperienced and I know it's difficult but her dim back room doesn't have natural lighting to see in - so now you guess if that looked good outside ? A passer by girl asked about services because her door is open and we were finishing up .. and she was harsher and kinda hostile to having to repeat herself at this potential client . Overall I feel she's kinda fake and kinda not very good at being YOUR stylist - she's gonna be pushy and manipulative and do whatever the bleep she wants --- with YoUR money . I asked for brows that are shaped like Greta Garbo ( which I have had before in Macy's in Monterey) . She totally stopped threading ( which she was not good at - Persian ladies are good at threading, she was very rough at it wrong angle ) she kept jumping around - way way way overly caffeinated or (?) hoping not on drugs . It was very lame looking all like a crayon drawing, I had full natural brows plenty to shape my way with . She never looked up a picture of Greta Garbo she just shook her head and refused but I didn't realize it as she also manipulating got started ... I thought she was doing what I'd asked ! Nope She does whatever the blank she wants Period I think it's ok if you have no specific look or whatever- I guess I mean the shape she did with my brows was not what I wanted specified really kindly and firmly Really clear Greta Garbo These are not AT all good looking When I posted on Facebook not a single like . They look dumb . If I could give less than one star, I would. I write this review not because I need to vent but because I want to warn other people who might be in the same situation. I went in for a bikini wax 4 years ago when Peach Parlor was downtown. Natalie had me lay on my side, which no one had ever done before. I had always been in happy-baby pose or up on all fours, so that the esthetician could have full access to my behind. She refused to let me take either of these positions. And I said: "One side might not get done this way," and she said yes, it will. Well, when I got home, sure enough, one side was still hairy . I called her and explained the situation to her, and asked if she would like to fix it ...and she said: No and something to the effect of don't ever come back for waxing.(!) Needless to say, I was very surprised, disappointed. I had been in customer service myself, my own business, for 26 years, & this is certainly not how you treat a client. Or perhaps offer to refund some money so they can pay to have the matter remedied. About 6 months later, I was seeking out a Lash lift & tint, and unfortunately, there were very few people in the County who did them back then, probably because it was during Covid-19. In any event, I tried to schedule that with her parlor, not with her, but anyone, and she refused, saying I could not be a client of hers. Then, very recently, unbeknownst to me, I ran into one of her colleagues and asked if she had the name of someone for a lash lift and tint, and she suggested Natalie. At first, I didn't make the connection. Later, I started to suspect there was one, but the location of the studio was different....and I thought, why not I'd give it a try. After about 10 texts back and forth, even after she had recognized me from her card on file, she said she "could not take me as a client." No apology,no explanation, just a cancelation of my already scheduled online appointment. I asked her what happened, and she didn't answer, I then texted if it has to do with 4 years ago, please understand that was a bikini wax that was not a lift and tint and I would like you to give me a second chance. She never responded . I have no idea what her problem was. I have run this by other people in The Beautician field, and they said you try to make the client happy and why wouldn't she just originally wax your other side, which should have been properly done to begin with ? I didn't understand either. She also never apologized and never offered any kind of refund. So, of course, I never went back to her for waxing. But why she wouldn't give lash lift and tinting a try, I have no idea. She even had my credit card already. She had nothing to lose. All I can say is that customer satisfaction is not her forte, and she does not want any comment/ criticism whatsoever. Sorry but I cannot recommend her at all. She is not a kind or caring human being ​. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AND, she shows her true character in her responses to the reviews she doesn't like. Calls me an "idiot", and "rude" ( a projection?), and actually calls another customer an "a*******"! WOW, does someone have a temper problem? I fell sorry for her. AND, I seriously doubt I CALLED her at 3 a.m., & certainly not 1 month later. It could be that i went skiing right away after so it took a few days...Anyway, I think her responses only confirm what some of us are trying to warn you about. My eyes look so much larger! I had no idea the difference the brow and lash services would make. I discovered this place while on the Santa Cruz Wine Walk and met the adorable owner, Natalie. Natalie is extremely professional, efficient, and experienced. I had my eyelashes tinted (I highly recommend this for those of you with lighter colored eyelashes who don't like wearing mascara), and my eyebrows waxed and dyed. I will definitely return for more services (next up I'm trying a lash lift). read more

To start, I am new to the eyebrow lamination life. I have thick eyebrows naturally that have been highlighted by the sun, so I also went for a tint and a wax for some more shape. The lamination looks AMAZING, and after a few days of seeing how much eyebrows adjusted to the longer look, I asked Natalie if I could come back in and clean around the edges for more shape. She responded immediately and perfected my brows. I also tinted my eyelashes and absolutely love how they came out. Natalie is professional, so easy to talk to, and her studio is adorable. I am so pleased with the lash lift I got at the Peach Parlor! It's shocking how much more awake and refreshed my eyes look, and unlike eyelash extensions, there is no maintenance: no need to avoid oils around the eyes, no lash tangling, mascara is fine to wear, and there are is no need to get them touched up for 6-8 weeks. The process was quick and affordable, too: it took about 1/3 the time needed for eyelash extensions at about half the cost. I highly recommend having this service done with Natalie! read more

After just moving to Santa Cruz I looked up a place for threading nearby with good reviews and I found the Peach Parlor. Natalie (the owner) has done my eyebrows twice during COVID with amazing and safe safety measures. She wore a mask and face shield not to mention sanitized before my threading, sanitized my card after swiping it, and sanitized the door as I walked out. I really appreciated the safety measures it made me feel very good not to mention the amazing threading job!! read more

I used to get my brazilians at european wax but after going to natalie, i don't think i wanna go back. whereas european wax center does it all at once with maybe 10 strips or less using hard wax, natalie was more gentle and thorough, taking her time to go through every section. she even made sure the more painful sections were the smallest so it wasn't hard on me too. her hand is super quick making the already painful process better and she even gave me better tips of upkeep than european wax had. plus her rates are incredibly reasonable and her student discount package is something i'm definitely worth considering. read more
