The pedicure included a warm soak, detailed nail shaping, cuticle care, exfoliation, a deep scrub, paraffin wax, lotion, and a long, relaxing leg and foot massage. I literally fell asleep. They finished with hot towels and perfect French tips. For my manicure, they were just as detailed; perfect shaping, clean cuticles, and a flawless French tip. The hand and arm massage was also amazing and not rushed at all. What I loved most is they all worked on me at the same time, so I could fully relax while still getting top-quality service. They kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable and happy. You can tell they truly care about their work, everything felt high-end and done with intention. Plus, the location is perfect, right by the beach, near Marianne's Ice Cream, Manuel's Mexican Restaurant, and Safeway. I'll definitely be coming back

Pros- they take their time and are fairly clean…read more Cons- They are extremely pushy, won't take no for an answer when it comes to upgrading your service to the most expensive options, and the last time I was there, the nail tech pulled me aside to tell me the manager withholds tips from the techs and not to give her any tip money for our services. I felt extremely uncomfortable and was not sure what to do. I paid the manager for our three services, and tipped the two techs only- even through the two techs and the manager worked on us. I hope the techs are safe and okay. This was a very weird experience to be in and I still don't know what to think. I shared this information with a local friend, who said this is a clear sign of human trafficking- which she is trained in. I'm not sure what to think. I didn't report them, but I won't be back. Debating if I should do more to ensure the safety of the employees.

As we went over my options I noticed that they also did hair extensions. So I also inquired about that. Over a matter of weeks we focused on getting my hair and scalp healthy while he ordered my hair extensions. By the time it was install day my hair was healthy and ready for hair extensions installs. They were installed and they look great. I go back every other month for a move up and when the extensions have no life left I order more packs from George and he installs them for me. I am a Santa Cruz native and have been to many different places looking for a good Brazilian wax...And for a reasonable price, but haven't found much luck. After my favorite place closed down I have been in search of the new perfect place and finallllly found it!!! Sheila at Luna Beauty is phenomenal!!! She makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed! She was also trained in Argentina so she is quick but very efficient and her style is different than most places in Santa Cruz in a great way! She doesn't leave any hair behind which is what I struggled with at many other places! She is very painless too compared to many other places because her wax is this soft chocolate wax and it does the job but with less pain than other waxes that I have used! I am so happy I finally found a great place to get my Brazilian and by sheer luck at first! I highly highly recommend Sheila and can guarantee you won't go anywhere else after you have been to Sheila at Luna Beauty Skin Care and Waxing! I first discovered Luna Beauty Skin Care & Waxing Studio thru a Groupon offer. I'd never purchased any type of service coupon before so was a bit hesitant, but after checking out her website, I thought... why not? And I'm glad I did! Sheila is amazing! She was very friendly yet professional. Her studio is beautifully decorated and the moment I walked in, I felt very relaxed and comfortable. I will definitely be going to Sheila on a regular basis and when given a chance, will refer all my friends to see her! I have only seen Sheila for facials but I can say that her facial services are top notch. She really listens to your concerns and needs in relation to your skin. Will work with you and do as thorough of a clean and extraction as you are willing to go or as light as the skin can handle. She also checks in after treatments to make sure all is well or if a reaction occurred. Very attentive. I also appreciate her product recommendations. Sheila is warm, professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to have work with you. She'll customize according to whether you want moisturizing, anti-aging, and just plain tension release can be your focus--it was mine, but I bet any treatment by her would relax. She uses organic materials and considers any health issues you may have. She's very affordable, so instead of having a facial every couple of years, I signed up to go every few months. Even included shaping my eyebrows in the facial package. First-time customers pay $55 for a 60-minute facial. Go...you won't be sorry. read more

I started getting facials with Sheila when she took over for Cristina at Pure Radiance whom I adored. The transition couldn't have gone better and Sheila has been absolutely fantastic. Warm, welcoming, knowledgeable. She is great at recommending additional services she thinks would benefit YOU and her suggestions have been right on.
