I was referred to Coco by a former client. I was nervous because I hadn't got a Brazilian in years, but Courtney made everything so easy. She was so friendly and acted like a true professional asked me a couple questions about my routine and needs to go to work. I was very happy with the results and am absolutely returning to her for services in the future. read more

All I have to say is if anyone is this was my first time getting a Brazilian wax and I was super nervous. Courtney makes you feel so comfortable and is very welcoming! She gave me the whole run down of waxing and what is right and I felt very educated. Through the first strip I thought it was going to make me clench or squeal and I didn't even think too because it was not as painful as I thought it would be once it was done. It was the easiest experience yet a bit an uncomfortable feeling of the wax it still went perfectly and I would definitely 100% do it again. read more

Coco was the nicest and most accommodating person I could have asked for!! I'd never had a wax before and I booked my appt for a week out but plans changed and i needed to move it up ASAP!! She squeezed me in with a 12 hour notice and when I went in was so open and detailed about the process while she waxed me! such a sweetie with very reasonable prices (especially with the return discounts!!). Super impressed w her work and very professional demeanour, plus she explained the science behind hair growth and answered all my questions with no hesitation!! give her a call and have the least stressful wax of your life i promise read more

My tolerance for pain is not that great. And because of that, I need a waxer that is not only thorough but is also GENTLE when applying and removing the wax off their client's lady parts. Courtney is definitely very gentle and very thorough! She's not rough and did not make me feel uncomfortable during the waxing session. I highly recommend coming here for your waxing needs! Free parking in the lot is awesome! read more

Courtney's space is clean, cozy, and has a very relaxing ambiance. For my last Brazilian, she used a sugaring method vs. wax which was more comfortable as the temperature was cooler than the typical wax. She's professional, personable, and makes you feel at ease right away. I highly recommend her services! read more

Coco was so sweet, nice and a joy to have for my first time waxing. She made it easy and made me feel really comfortable. I definitely will be back! read more

Long story short... GO SEE COURTNEY!! She's absolutely all around amazing from her sugaring to her personality! I've been doing sugaring for 1 1/2 yrs and I'm very picky about who I'm going to see... and she blew me away! She made the whole process pain FREE! I highly recommend to go here for any of your sugar/wax needs! read more

This review is for lash lift only since I haven't tried waxing with Courtney yet. Honestly, lash lift is the way to go, over lash extensions any day, unless you have super short lashes then yes go with extensions. My lash lift was quick and lasted 2 days short of 8 weeks. It's easy to care for and doesn't irritate my eyes. I have very sensitive skin and eyes. None of the solution or glue she used caused any discomfort. Booking an appointment with her is easy but I highly suggest giving her a few days as her schedule gets booked up pretty quickly. I booked her through messaging her on Yelp. Super convenient. Love! I've decided I will become her regular now. read more

stood me up and then decided not to answer my texts. 0 reviews if i could. it's extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. if you don't have time for your clients, don't waste their time and have them waiting outside in the cold for over an hour. read more

I absolutely loooooove coming here! I've been going to Courtney for a while now to get a Brazilian and she is the ONLY person I will ever go to. For most people waxing is a bit nerve wrecking and painful (esp when it's down there) but Coco is great at being gentle, never letting the wax get too hot, talking you through the process, as well as just making you feel comfortable (which is key for me). Also what I really admire about Courtney is that she always maintains everything extremely clean and disinfected, which is a huge plus! Every time I have gotten waxed by her, I am realllly satisfied with the end result. She is very quick, the process itself never really hurts, she never leaves hairs behind and always make she all the wax is completely off your skin :) If you've never gotten waxed before, or even if you have, I definitely recommend coming here. There are people that drive hours to get waxed by her!! (I drive about 45 min). Aside from her amazing skills, Courtney is the sweetest, funniest, open, and most approachable person ever! Both her personality and her nice cozy studio make you feel relaxed and comfortable :) read more

Love love love Courtney! I rarely used to get my brows done because every place I tried was over priced over over-plucked them, making my brows look thin and wispy. On my first visit, Courtney convinced me to try darkening them up a bit and she made them look fuller and more beautiful than they ever have before! When, about 20 minutes after my first visit, I got stressed that we'd gone too dark on my brows (never having tinted them before) I called Courtney and came back in to lighten them up. She ended up spending about double the amount of time on me and didn't charge anything extra for the double visit. Next time I came in, I completely realized she'd been right to make my brows darker and love them even more this time! Courtney is a lovely person, great to chat with and had a nice little place right by Ballena bay in Alameda. She creates a relaxing environment and does such a great job at a fraction of the cost of any other place I have been to in the city. Highly recommend! read more

Coco is the BEST!! She sanitized everything and was not only professional but extremely knowledgeable about the science of hair growth. Wow! Also, she was booked when I called (I called last minute before a trip) but she went out of her way to make time for me. Let me just start off by saying Courtney is AMAZING! She's personable, very friendly, and her all around aura is great. I started going to Courtney when I was pregnant almost 2 years ago and it was my first time, she made me feel very comfortable and walked me threw each step. Let me just say there will not be one hair left when she is done. I have recommend her everyone I know. Talk about coming into a place where you instantly feel pampered, comfortable, and cared for! Courtney is a true master at her craft. The questions I came in with, she answered with so much information that I left knowing more that I came in. I came in wanting a basic brow shaping, and left with beautiful, lightly tinted natural looking brows! She even instructed me on how to train my own brows, so I wouldn't have to come in so often. Who does that? Someone who truly cares about your personal beauty!! Her space is very quaint, ethereal and calming. The decor is very tasteful and not overcrowded in the small space she works with. Visit Courtney for all your waxing needs! You really won't regret it. SHE LISTENS! read more

Update: My review on a for the Triple B growth serum. It works so well and is the best. I got the serum from Coco and use it every night. Since I got it I already noticed more hairs growing on my brows, a lot faster than it did before. If you want help to achieve thicker brows then the brow serum from Coco is the one for you. I even a little on my lashes since I want longer lashes as well. It works and smells pretty good to me. I would recommend the serum to everyone. Also I've been going to Coco for many months and she is still the best. I have never felt uncomfortable when I go to her and she is super funny!! read more

Moved up to the bay from Southern California recently and tried Courtney due to a friend's recommendation. Yes, she does phenomenal work, but that's not what struck me as extraordinary about my experience. Courtney was dynamic, authentic and put me immediately at ease. The positive energy she exudes is incredible and I felt so well taken care of. I walked out of there smiling. My brows and lashes look gorgeous. Thank you, Courtney. You're a true gem. read more

I discovered Courtney through Groupon and made an appointment to see her for a Brazilian as well as a brow wax last weekend. She is really open, honest, and easy to talk to. Not sure what the trick was, but unlike my regular place I go to for a Brazilian, I didn't leave feeling sore and red afterwards. I always just assumed that's how all waxings leave you. Courtney knows how to run a business and knows how to keep her clients happy. I definitely felt pampered and her work space is like a little oasis where you feel closed off from the rest of the busy, fast paced happenings. I felt like she appreciated me being there and threw in a couple unexpected perks. Like another Yelper said, I'm actually looking forward to my next appointment with Courtney because I sure love being pampered!! read more

I've been meaning to do this review for so long, school is so hectic! But here we go: So before my first vacation to LA, I bought a Groupon for a Brazilian wax, and Courtney was very nice while we set up my appointment (via text). The day of my appt (a month ago), I decided to add an underarm wax and brow wax/trim on a whim, but she was very accommodating. She even let my boyfriend come in with me :) Courtney continuously checked in with me to make sure I was comfy, and she always warned me when it was going to hurt more. My brows were bangin', lady pits & bits smooth, HOLLYWOOD SMOOTH!!! One month later, after I returned from LA, I came back for another brow wax/trim and my first ever brow tinting! She explained the process thoroughly, and answered all of me and my bf's questions. I really appreciate the fact that she checked the ingredients of her products thoroughly for my mango allergy, and when she was unsure, she switched products instead of taking a gamble. I'm definitely coming back! Courtney makes a Brazilian a breeze and my brows have never had more life. read more

Courtney has been waxing my brows for about 3 or 4 years now and I keep coming back because she understands my face shape and shapes my brows accordingly. She is very friendly, personable and she has a great sense of humor too! Her studio is clean, comfortable and has super cute decor. Don't worry about thoroughness or cleanliness because Courtney is incredibly detail oriented and quick! Other services I recommend are: Brazilian wax, sugaring and tinting. Go see Courtney at WAX. AMAZING!! I have never left a Yelp review, but I needed to for Coco!! It was my first time getting a wax. I went to Courtney based on the reviews on Yelp. She's everything that everyone stated and more. Her technique is very gentle and didn't cause my skin to burn or get irritated. I'm so in love with Courtney! I feel like I've known her all my life. She keeps the conversation going which is a fabulous way for distraction cause we all know, certain areas can be sensitive. I also loved her facial! Courtney is such a bright, smart and wonderful person. It's all about the connection and we connected. Need I say more? You must go visit Courtney and find out for yourself because I sure can tell you that she is my go to for wax and facial. She keeps it real with you and I love that about her. Boy oh boy! I don't even know where to start! I've been getting WAX by Courtney Guadamuz™ for about 2 years now and this is hands down one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. It's probably the longest and only commitment I will ever make but when I tell you it's worth it...it's worth it!!! It's not only the fact that she's removing and chopping down the vast forest down south, but also her warm and hilarious company!! Like honestly...Coco is one of the most interesting ppl I know!! Every time me & my friends come in she always has theeeee most outrageous and crazy story to tell us and keep in mind we only see her once a month. Like I barely have any interesting stuff happen to me in a year!! She's such an amazing person and does the job clean every time!! Only thing is she doesn't like it when ppl touch themselves bc it makes her uncomfortable (sorry coco, won't happen again). Anyways, if I could give her more stars I would give her 69 stars bc I'm immature & also bc she deserves every last one of them! Much recommend! You will not regret! read more
