I called a few places and they were booked. I called red carpet salon and they had an immediate opening for a pedicure. Linda was amazing. She took her time and she asked me which pedicure I wanted. I chose the one with the Massage and callus remover and she massaged my feet and my shoulders. She did an amazing job. She was so sweet. It's honestly one of the best pedicures I've had in a long time. I live in Walnut Creek I was very new to this place. It was my first time and I wish I lived here because I'd be going every two weeks. The owner was also very nice and everybody was very attentive. Pedicure and manicure were both rushed. The pedicure massage barely felt like anything and maybe lasted about 2 minutes. If prices are going up, the services should match it. Not sure if it was just a busy afternoon and I just got unlucky but it definitely wasn't the experience I was hoping for while treating myself in Capitola. She was also super nice!. We would give the nails 8/10. The reason for the two star take away was because the salon itself was below excellent in the clean/sterile environment. In addition they were really insistent on getting tip money. Like follow you out the door kind of weird about it. Felt odd. Massage: had my husband come in for their $20 20 minute massage because of neck and shoulder pain. The 1st time was a great experience, even was given a few minutes to soak my feet. However, the second time I tried to go, they said "no you need to call, too busy." Today, I went with my guest after making an appointment yesterday, and it was far under the quality service one would expect when buying the "Special" elevated package of $20 more. Not enough care and consideration were made by my pedicure technician. She didn't even go over my heal to exfoliate. I pointed it out, and she used a drill on my heal for 10 seconds. She answered the phone multiple times during the pedicure, and the massage was not enjoyable with her lack of focus and attention. Unfortunately, I brought a minor guest and did not want to cause a scene, but I was very disappointed today with the relaxing service one would expect from a higher package service. WORST AND MOST PAINFUL PEDICURE I'VE EVER HAD!! I decided to go to here today specifically because they have the kid pedicure chairs and I wanted to treat my 6 year old daughter. I called beforehand and made an appointment. We showed up at the time we were given and let them know we had an appointment and their response was "you have an appointment??" Like they had no idea we were coming. They told us to go sit in the chairs in the back so we did. After 20 min of waiting in the pedicure seat with my feet up in flip flops my feet were freezing so I politely asked one of the women walking by if I could get some warm water going to soak my feet while I wait. She said yes and then went back to what she was doing and ignoring me. Another 30 min went on, and in that time period I asked multiple people who passed by me if they could just quickly add some water while I wait and was continually ignored. It takes 20 seconds to put the plastic in the tub and turn the water on and it was the least they could have done considering I had been waiting an hour but no one came. Finally someone came to my daughter's chair to start on her. She started to fill up the tub with no plastic over the basin, I looked around and could clearly see every other pedicure chair with water in the basin had the plastic around it which is an important safety precaution to prevent against nasty things like foot fungus. The basin for the kids chair was even visually dirty. I asked her if she was planning on using the plastic and she just chuckled and then continued on filling it up and I had to say something three more times before she finally stopped the water and put the plastic underneath it but the water was still the dirty tub water, I was horrified. I sat there for another 30 min, with no warm water after continually asking for it. By the time someone finally came and started filling my basin my daughter was already done, which now my 6 year old has to wait for me to be finished and we haven't even started yet. Once the tub was soaked I got all of 30 seconds to soak before she started working, which sucks because I very much enjoy the hot water soak for my achey feet and I could have been enjoying that for the hour that I was waiting but instead got no time to enjoy it. All of this so far wasn't even the worst of it unfortunately. She comments that my nails are already clipped and I said yes I keep them short and so she says she will just make them even. She then proceeds to take out cuticle cutters and starts cutting my toenails (NOT what cuticle cutters are for) and then digs them into the sides of my toenails cutting the sides of my nail which are attached to my skin and way below the free edge (this is how you get ingrown nails which are incredibly painful if you've never had one). I told her that it hurt and asked her not to do that and she mumbled something about having to get the color off...that's what acetone is for-you don't clip off sides of the nail that are attached to skin to get off nail polish (just regular nail polish mind you) that's ridiculous. She kept using the cuticle cutters in ways that were not meant to be used and I ended up with cuts on every toe and a few that had multiple cuts, my big toe being the worst with a big chunk of skin taken out on the top. I tried to point the cut out to her multiple times and she ignored me like I wasn't saying anything but then would ask me about my daughter and respond so I know she was able to hear and understand me just fine. She went at my toes which were already quite short as she mentioned herself before we started, with the cuticle cutters so painfully short that they are below the free edge where the nail naturally detaches from the skin. Even after finishing that part of the pedicure and moving on the the other parts such as nail polish she continued to randomly pick at my toe nails with cutter, especially my pinky toenails which are now non existent. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The end result is horrible. There is an obvious space between the nail and the skin on my left big toe that shouldn't be there and which leaves my toe open to bad infections, especially since they didn't seem to be very sanitary, along with multiple other cuts. I have cuts on every toe, and every nail is painfully short but not very even, all that she needed to use was a file no cutting necessary. My pinky nails especially look horrible and shapeless. But worst of all my feet HURT even hours after. I will NEVER come back here. Everything else was bad enough but I don't understand how you can cut someone to the point that they bleed, ignore them when they point it out, and the continue to cut at them and hurt them over and over. Genuinely the worst pedicure experience and I very much don't recommend it. read more

Took a friend for her birthday treat, which entailed a manicure, pedicure, shoulder and neck massage, foot massage for $70, plus tip. Very welcoming owners and workers, who genuinely appreciated our business. We were four customers and they took 3 of us immediately and staggered #4 but also doubled up so he finished quicker. This worked out just fine because there is a nice grocery store in the complex which was great to stroll through for some snacks and drinks. The space is huge with really high ceilings and excellent ventilation. There were no odd smells at all. We felt pampered and would return for sure. read more

I honestly was kind of scared going in because I've always gone to the nail salon in my area but my mind was blown away here. One thing I recommend is definitely make an appointment. We had one for as soon as they opened and you can tell how popular they are by how many walk ins were coming in. We picked our colors and got seated right away. The difference between the regular pedicure and special pedicure is that the special manicure also gets you a hot rock massage which I recommend. At these prices you can never go wrong. Also in addition to the hot rock massage because we got the special pedicure, we also got a neck and should massage as our nails were drying. These ladies were amazing and almost put me to sleep. The lady working on my nails over filed just the right side of my nails. Went here for a last minute acrylic set. They were able to help me quickly and give me the style I wanted. They have matte colors as well as many others :) Lisa did an amazing job shaping my nails the way I wanted and cutting them to the length I wanted! I also got a pedicure. I didn't get her name, but she did a great job! I have small toenails so I know it's a pain painting them, but she did an amazing job! They are also very friendly here and help give you the design you want. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five because she give me a small scratch on my ring finger, but after she was very careful with that finger. It can happen sometimes by accident and it's such a small scratch. Also, I feel the nail tables can be cleaned and sanitized a bit more. The pedicure stations were extremely clean tho. Would still recommend tho for the friendly service and the quality of service. :) read more

I have so much to say about some of the reviews. I am a nail tech at an upscale salon in this town and if none of my coworkers are available- I come here, to see Lisa. I understand that I may not get the most sanitary conditions or that I can't have the clearest conversations. I GET WHAT I PAY FOR. I've been reading the reviews about a gloved massage, or tips that are too big and "gel-acrylic", etc. First, I use gloves to massage! Just bc I can't see fungus doesn't mean it's not there and sometimes, I have cut MY skin and don't want my clients to worry that I may expose them to something. Sadly they may not be able to communicate that to you but hey, again, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. And there is no such thing as a "gel-acrylic". Gel can be polished onto the acrylic but no product is a combined product. It's either on or the other. People need to understand- if you're nail is crooked- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you get a gloved massage- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If your appointment isn't what you expected it to be- YOU GET WHAT TOU PAY FOR. Sadly, these workers are typically being paid some sort of low-wage, unless they pay rent. Sweat shop labor wage. It's important to tip well if you use the services. People Complain that no one speaks good English, or the quality is crap, or the place isn't clean, or their nails are perfect....blahblahblah. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
