If I had the option for a 0 I would give it. We booked an appointment for my sister and myself, showed up for our appointment on time, they had 5 people waiting with appointments and all chairs full. They got us in chairs and then the torture began. They were so rushed, overly aggressive, rough with the manicure/pedicure, and not safe at all. My sister got abandoned by her lady and sat there while I got my nails done horribly. She never got her manicure. The final outcome, the nails look horrible, chunky, rough and nail polish chipping the same day. I would NEVER recommend this place! Services Pedicure, Manicure Requested style General mani/pedi Cleanliness Not clean at all used a toaster oven to sterilize the instruments. Flies all over. Stylist Did not communicate well at all. Cut my long nails without even asking how long I wanted them. So rushed. They do this pounding on the arms and legs. Not relaxing whatsoever. read more

Dirty, they injured my toe horribly by extracting tissue that shouldnot have been touched, they thought it was funny, it was literally bleeding so bad and I was in so much pain. It got infected, was hard to walk on. They still charged me and did not care at all. AVOID THIS PLACE, I AM A LICENSED COSMOTOLIGIST and know the standard of sanitation requirements. I am in process of reporting to the California Cosmology board! read more

Jbella Nails - This is after it "healed". - Nail Salons Near Me - Aptos, California

Place is dirty and needs repairs! I had a bad experience with a pedicure that ended up with my big toe bleeding from the cuticle cutting I'm hoping that I don't get an infection... not a relaxing experience. Staff member was apologetic and didn't charge for the full rate. I'll never return read more

They are OK for a basic pedicure when you want to go in and out, but it's nothing really that special. They get the job done, seems a reasonably clean. read more

Not certain of the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the stainless steel implements, tools, etc. Last time I had a pedicure there, Angel took the stainless steel tool to the sink near me and probably washed it quick. Ird the water and saw her upper body movements, yet the sink was not visible because it has a "wall " blocking the view. I know that implements, tools, etc need to be submerged in the salon grade sterilizing liquid for a while. There are no sterilization glass jars visible or in the work (pedicure) station areas. None that I've seen. There aren't individual sealed supplies for each costumer, such as nail file, nail clippers, etc for each customer. Don't know if that has stopped now that we are past the pandemic stage when it was required to have individual sealed kits for each customer? I score the review 3.5 The owner is nice and I like that the shop is smaller (cozy). More relaxing and I like the fresh look of polished pedicure toes. read more

Excellent with a fair price located in Deer Park Marketplace. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed

I went to get a manicure in the afternoon today and got amazing service from Mrs. Tina. I will definitely be going back, she was super patient with me and I enjoyed my relaxing spa day. read more

The ladies are great but they are never on time when you make an appointment. I have waited up to 30 minutes from a scheduled appointment time. I stopped going for several months and then came back and sure enough here I sit waiting after I had an appointment. It's going on 20 minutes late. It's like they don't care about other people's time. It is so frustrating! I don't know who owns this place. I get the sense they are not involved and likely don't care about customers! read more

Went in for a pedicure at 5 something from Miss Tina and it was such a great experience! Definitely will come back!!

I went to Mrs.Tina for a gel set and the nails turned out exactly how I wanted. They looked just like the Pinterest photo I showed her! Definitely would recommend to friends or family, great service. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Without a doubt the WORST nail salon I have ever been to. I took my mother in law in for her birthday to get a mani/pedi and wanted her to feel pampered. She's disabled and has a chronic illness making it difficult for her to do her own nails. The woman that was giving her a pedicure repeatedly and loudly shamed her for the length of her toenails and was very rough with her. My mother-in-law asked her repeatedly to be more gentle and the woman still aggressively handled her feet and loudly commented on how her toes looked. At this point, I asked for a different pedicurist and after a short wait they complied. However, the rude woman still continued to clearly talk about us loudly in her native language and smile condescendingly. This was meant to be a nice birthday treatment and it ended up being a horrible experience that made my mother in law and I incredibly uncomfortable. They never apologized to her and didn't offer any discount to services. In addition to the absolutely awful customer service. My manicure began to chip the VERY next day. I wish I had read some of the other terrible reviews before I went it. Stay far away. read more

Always friendly staff, clean, fair prices, quiet. The pedicures are better than any other nail place. Comes with leg massage, foot massage, and hot towels. AND it's more than a 2 minute massage like how most places do it. They take their time on each leg. More than 10 minutes! So relaxing read more

Best nail shop in the area. Three satisfied customers who have " happy feet"!! We love the staff. They work hard and cared for my mother, sister and I. I hope the community knows what a treasure they have and not only goes there but treats them with care after a long stressful situation with Covid. Please try this shop you will not be disappointed. You come as a customer and leave as a friend. read more

I've been coming to this location for over a year. The price is reasonable. I really love getting my pedicure by Danny. He is so nice and gives the best foot massage. Seriously he always makes me feel like a superstar. I also love that this place is located in beautiful Rio Del Mar and near my home. I would have given 5 stars but I had a very uncomfortable and hurtful experience with one of the manicurist named Tina. All the other ladies that work here have been kind to me except Tina. She threw a fit and angrily accused me of basically lying that I had an appointment with Danny right in front of my daughter and all the clients. I believe in showing kindness to all so I stayed calm and kind. I didn't deserve her lashing out at me and I will never get my nails done by her. Usually I come here and feel welcomed and relaxed. I hope that my review helps. read more

My attached pic says it all. I was in YESTERDAY; paid for GEL and obviously didn't get that. Honestly, I didn't notice the texture difference until I got home, which is all the way in Salinas. Obviously I'm not going to waste the gas to drive all the way back there to complain, so, take this review instead. They looked annoyed that I wanted gel, played it off as if they used the correct polish throughout the process (rushed the whole time) and over charged me. Simply put - don't waste your money like I did. read more

Jbella Nails - Supposedly used gel paint... they didn't, otherwise it wouldn't have chipped like this a day later. - Nail Salons Near Me - Aptos, California

JBella is terrific and the prices a real bargain for the quality!! I love Benny (he always calls me out when I have done something to my nails between visits!) and you cannot go wrong with any of the other lovely women who will take care of you! I always get color on my toes with a french manicure and feel so elegant when I walk out the door! Have received many compliments and referred others to JBella whenever I receive comments! read more

There's a really mean woman there and why I'll never go back. I'm pretty handicapped, walking is hard, so I came to my appointment a little bit late. This is when the pandemic was hitting us hard and it was only her there. I hobbled in there, very much out of breath. She was working on another person and I said I was only in there for cutting my toenails. That's it. She flatly said you're late. You'll have to make a new appt. The woman she was working on told me that I should take my mask off in order to breathe better. She, the client, was shocked at this and felt terrible. I think she's the owner of the salon and she may be afraid of people who are handicapped. read more

I called for nails and the lady who answered the phone said come after 4 pm and they close at 6 pm. Showed up at 4:45 pm and so sorry we don't take anymore appointment. Bummed to see all of the negative reviews. Got a pink + white mani (french mani, essentially), and was done by Kim. She did a great job and I expect the manicure to last 2+ weeks without any chipping. Will definitely be back! read more

Do not go here! I wish I had checked the previous reviews before I went to Jbella. The woman that did my nails made me bleed three times. My thumb would not stop bleeding! She took off my acrylic nails with a file instead of a dremmel and cut my cuticles too much. She didn't have my wash my hands after the polish was finally off. There was dust everywhere. She put oil on my hands for a "massage" and just rubbed the nail polish dust around. Painful experience. I won't be back. read more

I've had my nails done for decades, but the best manicurist I've ever had is Lena! She's done my nails for 10+ years, and I've switched to gel now. All of their operators are great! Danny does my pedicures...the absolute best massage ever, and my toes are now gel because gel holds up when walking barefoot in the sand! Bonnie Terribilini read more

Worst polish change ever. Gel polish is lumpy and inconsistent. Polish all over my cuticles. Work r was rude. $25 crazy cost for awful gel Polish change. read more

My new fav, so don't change... Well, you can change one thing. Talk to me more than your co-workers. It's the normal complaint at nail salons that you feel like the employees are talking about you. With that said, there are massage chairs, OPI polish and detailed work (no missed polished spots.) it is only $30 for a spa pedi/mani. This is my new spot. read more

I've been a steady customer for years and something has changed. My last 2 visits were terrible. In both cases I had an appointment and both times they were late by 30 minutes. Yesterday my appointment was for both a mani and pedi. They had 3 people, including me, with 1:00 appts. None of us sat down until 1:30 (me) and 1:45 them. They forgot I was getting a mani and didn't have time because now there were 4 people with 2:00 appointments waiting. I'm going to a wedding and really wanted that manicure. I'm done with them. So many people held up today by their lack of organization. Time for me to find a professional salon. read more

We just moved from Carmel to Aptos. Our realtor gave me the name of this nail salon. I was pleasantly surprised as how nice it was inside. The people were very friendly, including other customers. I have RA and other bone problems. It is truely hard to work on my toes as they are a bit twisted. My toes have not had a pedicure in 2 months due to our move and settling. The sweetheart I had was accommodating very nice, and gentle. She knew just what to do and listened to directions. I have to say, that I was treated allot better here and the price was better. I truely enjoyed my visit. My husband came home to a happy wife. read more

This place is the only place in Aptos to get your nails done, which is why I think they are still in business. The only reason I went was because I had a gift certificate. I'll never go back. The salon was very clean. I had a pedicure and the nails look beautiful. The price was reasonable. My only comment: the strong smell of nail products as I entered the salon; it can't be good to inhale this all day. This was fixed by opening a back door and improving circulation. read more

I went to Jbella Nails this week to get a Mani peti. the pedicure was good and very well done. I asked for a manicure and the lady who did my nails was rough on my cuticles. She resumed and hurt me and I will not be going back just warning you if you do go there be careful if you get a manicure. read more
